Still at L&D - going on 72 hours...they said baby will be here today no matter what. If I don't deliver naturally by this evening they will take him out via c section.
I'm still here. Baby was due on Friday. I've been having some contractions off and on since Friday, but not super regularly, and this morning I've been having cramping too. Diarrhea the past day or so also (sorry TMI). I'm ready for him to arrive - I hope it happens soon! Our next midwife appointment is tomorrow evening.
Me: 34 - PCOS | DH: 30 - everything looks good!
TTC #1 since 10/13

April 22, 2014: BFP! beta #1: 80 beta #2: 211 One nugget!
I'm still here! Due Thursday and seeing my doctor on Wednesday! Overall just very tired and haven't had anything but random Braxton Hicks. Wednesday, my doctor and I will start to talk about how far she'll let me go, in the event that I do not go into labor naturally.
Are you late-December ladies feeling ready? I'm feeling pretty unprepared, as if I haven't had months to make myself ready...
Are you late-December ladies feeling ready? I'm feeling pretty unprepared, as if I haven't had months to make myself ready...
I'm so ready everything has been washed and put away. Crib, changing table, RnP, carseat all set. I have built in cabinets and drawers in my dining room that have extra clothes, diapers and stuff in which I also have my pack n play set up next to so I'm not constantly running up and down stairs. The only thing I'm not ready for is dealing with my 2.5yr old while trying to take care of a newborn. He has been horrible lately and has gotten worse. I have little to no patience left with the way he is acting all the time.
I'm still here! Been having irregular contractions for a couple weeks, diarrhea, nausea, etc. due on Wednesday and that is the day of my next appointment. I am about 50% effaced and a fingertip dilated as of my last appointment. I've been trying to walk every day but the lower the baby and more pressure, the harder it gets. Considering buying a pogo stick...
I'm still here too! I'm 41+1 today and my induction is scheduled for tomorrow. I feel light contractions every night but then I go to bed and they go away. I was 3cm at my last appointment which was last Tuesday so I'm hoping the induction goes smoothly. I've still been jumping around in kickboxing and Zumba, but this baby doesn't want to make it's exit!
Just came back from my 1.5 mile walk. The weather has been nicer here lately so taking advantage at least the last couple of days. I've been 2-3 cm dilated and 70% effaced for weeks now baby's head has been in the birth canal for a while. Losing mucus plug for weeks, cramping and diarrhea. I've been drinking RRL tea daily and bouncing on my birth ball. It has all amounted to nothing. I'm hoping it all at least helps make the induction process easier. @jp8655 you're almost at the finish line, I'm so afraid of what you are going through- 3 day induction.
(((Hugs)))
I'm afraid with the induction tomorrow I'll be stressed out and unable to sleep tonight.
Ugh. I am 0% effaced, 0 cm dilated, and yes I know that means nothing, but IS MY BABY GOING TO BE IN MY UTERUS FOREVER GOD I HOPE NOT.
40 + 4 and not uncomfortable, just ready! Doctor's appointment tomorrow, Induction scheduled for Wednesday Reeeeaalllly don't want to be induced, but if it comes to that, it's fine, obviously. Walked two miles. Had sex this morning. Did about 50 squats in the living room. Nothing. Not even a single contraction. What is going on??
I'm still here. Due Wednesday, Dr appt tomorrow. As of last Tuesday I was 2cm and 50% effaced. Had sex today, and I'm trying to walk and clean and do a lot of errands. Had off and on cramping today, but not a lot of bh contractions. No other signs anything is happening.. but I'm incredibly ready and getting more uncomfortable by the day. Good luck to everyone with appointments tomorrow, hope to hear updates!
EDD tomorrow. Had an appt this morning and almost 4cm dilated, 70% effaced and baby low at a +2 station. But still no real or timeable contractions. Hopefully something gets moving soon! We're so ready to meet this baby. I think being Team Green has been the worst this past week or so knowing that were so close.
Had my appt this morning, no further progression except for baby moving down slightly. Dr expects me to still be pregnant next week... Still holding out for my due date on Wednesday! :-)
@mc0113, Team Green has been the best and worst idea ever. lol
I don't have anything new to update (Dr's visit isn't until tomorrow), but my little one seems to have had a burst in activity this week! Seriously. What happened to "expect less kicks and movement"?? lol Appleseed is showing off its killer legs by shoving them into my various organs.
Had my 40wk OB appointment this morning. Still 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. I have a growth scan tomorrow morning and a NST January 2nd. If there is still no change on January 2nd I will be induced the 4th or 5th.
Hopefully LO will come on his/her own, but at least there is an end in sight!!

I'm still here too. I've got my 40 week appointment today, but unless something goes wrong we won't start talking induction until 42 weeks (around January 11). I have Braxton Hicks at night for sure, and I think I've had some random daytime contractions but nothing I would consider serious prodromal labor. It's getting hard to get comfortable sitting or in bed, but overall I'm doing okay!
Went to the doctor yesterday. 1 cm dilated at this point, induction scheduled for today at 4pm. I so wish I had been able to go into labor without drugs, but thems the breaks. Hopefully I can still deliver vaginally, I reeeeeaaallllly don't want to get cut open.
After my drs appt yesterday spent a few hours in L&D doing a non stress test and urine samples everything was fine. Have another appt tomorrow see if any more progress has been made over 4cm dilated and over 50% effaced. The doc I saw yesterday wants her out by new years so pretty sure he wants to induce tomorrow but I see a different doc than that tomorrow so not sure if they are on the same page or not.
Still here! I had my midwife appointment yesterday evening... baby is doing great, I'm healthy. Baby is engaged, I'm about 2cm dilated and and I think about 75% effaced. Just gotta keep waiting for baby to make his appearance. I'm feeling so antsy

I'm such a wreck right now. Went to my appr today assuming my drs communicated the one I saw monday wanted to induce today, the one I saw today refused to and scheduled me for an induction on Tuesday which is fine whatever but I'm honestly so sick of people everyday asking about the baby and telling me she needs to hurry up get here!
Today is my due date and I have made no progress. Not even enough to attempt a membrane sweep. They don't let you go past 42 weeks at my practice but at this point it is unlikely that induction will be successful. Why won't this baby come!? I'm thinking of buying a mini trampoline for the living room...
Being induced this morning at 41wks. I was 4cm at my check up yesterday, so hopefully it's an easy induction. As a STM, I never thought I would be a week late (first was politely on time). Hang in there @nedralynn and @amedbery, waiting screws with your mind - and people harassing you about when baby is coming is beyond annoying.

I feel the same way as a STM! My son was 4 days before his due date so I just never thought I'd pass my due date this time.
Looks like I'm having a January baby!!! I had my 40wk appointment on Tuesday and there was no change since the week before. I went for a growth scan and fluid level check yesterday. Tomorrow morning I go back to my OB for an NST. At that point we will schedule an induction date. I'm still hoping that I go on my own, but I have this (and have had for a while) gut feeling it would come down to induction. I'll know more info tomorrow! Hang in there ladies!

@amedbery and others waiting, for what it's worth, when my water broke last week, my cervix was still high and completely closed. They say cervical position, dilatation, etc. Isn't necessarily an indicator of timing, and for me it was definitely true. I'm sure it's frustrating watching your due date sail by, but it will literally happen any time. Good luck passing the time without driving yourself insane! Xo

I was only 1 centimeter dialated and no effacement when I went into labor. I did lose my mucus plug but from what I heard that is no determination of imminent labor so I kind of blew it off. I guess that was not the case for me. I had no prodromol labor pains prior to the day I went into labor either. My contractions started at 4pm and I delivered at 2:07am. Good luck to you ladies with inside babies. The end is near.
I didn't really understand what prodomal labor was until this morning. I thought I was in early labor last night from 6pm until 12:30 am. Nope, I'm officially past due(not medically, I guess), and my body actually feels sore from the contractions last night. I have a newfound respect for the ladies that dealt with ongoing false labor. Good luck to everyone else that is still waiting, also.
40+2 today and still hanging on. If no baby by Tuesday then I go for an ultrasound for fluid check. Then if all is good I'll buy myself another week of waiting before induction.
We made it to January also! Appleseed is still hanging out, nice and cozy, with no apparent intentions to move out. This is good practice for the next 22 years, right??
I have an appointment scheduled for Tuesday January 6th, and if I have not gone into labor naturally by then, the doctor and I will schedule an induction date.
Saw my OB again today for an NST and membrane sweep. A cervical check showed no change, but when I came home after my appointment I lost my mucus plug, which is nice My OB induces at 41 weeks, so we have my check in set for 1/6 in the evening. Still hoping baby comes before January 6th!

I'm still here waiting. I saw my midwife today because I was having some weird pain last night. Baby is doing great. I, however, am super exhausted and uncomfortable. Hoping our baby will make his appearance soon! I'm 41 weeks today. Our midwives aren't concerned, and we haven't talked about induction yet.

I'm still here, too! I go in on Tuesday and I'm guessing they'll set an induction date. For y'all who have a scheduled induction - have you made much progress? Are you concerned about the likelihood of a successful induction?

End rant. Sort of feel better but not really.
