40 and 5 today

It's not official but will most likely be induced on Saturday. Christmas shopping is done and wrapped, house is cleaned. We'd like to visit family for Christmas but they are an hour away and with the impending storm and knowing baby can make her arrival any day we felt it was too risky.

Our BF's might come over though to do presents after they come back from their family shindigs. So it's just DH, Furbaby and I but thats okay, if were not in the hospital I could seriously be happy with a quiet day at home christmas movies and eggnog.

So now its just keeping up with cleaning, laundry and any other nonsense.

@nedralynn: My little one is weighing big too but doc hasn't said anything about concerns. I was almost 9lbs when I was born and my DH was 10 so I'm confident she'll be bigger but that I can do it. She has chubby cheeks too its so adorable! i just want to pinch them

@Cass005‌ oh I'm not concerned about the weight either not really sure why my doc is. My son I had vaginally was over 9lbs and I barely tore. My BF was 11lbs and his son was over 10lbs at 4 weeks early. I'm bound to have another big baby although I won't complain if she does come out a little smaller than her brothers.

Well, woke up with a headache this morning, so checked my BP. Lo and behold, it was elevated. Now, I'm hanging out in L&D for the next several hours. I fully anticipate being sent home tonight, but we'll see. Kind of wishing I'd brought something to do!!

Better late than never, so here goes!

I'm 38w4d, due New Year's Day, so baby should be somewhere between watermelon and pumpkin size. Getting very ready to meet our mystery baby (Team Green only gets harder with each week!), but still very much enjoying being pregnant. Although, I will be glad to have my bending-over privileges/abilities back -- very tired of dropping things in the floorboard of the car and the struggle that ensues to reach them.

Holiday wrapping and crafting is all but finished. Literally waiting on crap to dry so I can be done with it and stop stressing about "what if baby comes and I'm not finished". Otherwise, we fully intend to enjoy the three family Christmas parties, even if we didn't plan well and I'm going to be insanely pregnant for the celebrations. C;

If baby decided to come today, I'm certain I'd turn my mother loose on my house, to keep her sane during the excitement and to maybe get my housework done. We're not entirely prepared, but will we ever be?

40w6d -- still an inside baby. Don't have a fruit/veggie since TB had to be a jerk and start the countdown till baby's first birthday. Umm, I don't think so! So ready for baby to be here; every day is a repeat of the previous; answering 1000 emails/texts/FB messages/etc about whether baby is here, trying to do everything possible to get baby here, and constant questioning whether my water is breaking or whether I just need to pee. It's always pee. Le sigh!

Thanks for the well wishes for my induction everyone! I'm 34 hours in at 7 centimeters but our little guy is wearing out so if I haven't progressed in the two hours before my next check I'll likely be heading for a c section. I'm just trying to be calm for baby's sake but honestly I'm freaking out.

I'm 36/5 right now. Last ultrasound has them guessing shes going to be around 7 lbs. Am on bedrest until she comes on Friday (scheduled c section). No need to clean too much for the holidays, because I'm supposed to be as calm as possible- yeah, because that works this week with being a FTM. DH has been amazing over the past month with doing everything around the house. As for being ready, car seat has been installed, and have another nst tomorrow afternoon to make sure we are still good to wait until Friday. My biggest question would be how long c sections take to heal. My fur baby is a jumper, and loves laying on me. Also, if the inlaws live close, how do you get them to give you some peace and not be constantly down your throat?

So I guess I'm officially 40 wks as of right now!

Christmas prep is going well! Got all the fudge made and delivered (so I wouldn't eat it all myself), and most of the gifts wrapped- ran out of paper with only like 5 left to go :-w
We plan on spending Christmas with the inlaws, but depends on when baby decides to show up!

And I think we're FINALLY prepared for whenever baby does show up! Spent about 3 days working on final projects around the house with the hubs and I'm feeling pretty good. No more stress about things being left unfinished. And we really love how the baby's room turned out

As for how I'm feeling? Good question. I love having LO on the inside... not as anxious as everyone else around here to have baby come out...
I think it still just seems so surreal that at any moment I could be holding MY baby in my arms. It's hard to wrap your mind around how much your life is going to change when you haven't actually experienced it yet... But I know I'm gonna love it. And I can't wait for DH to be a daddy- he's going to be brilliant

Everything has been ready for a week.  I can relate to @aandkmom22 as I also declined induction since it was before my due date and not medically necessary.

Still here with you all! 40 weeks today and I was so hoping baby boy would be here for Christmas. 2cm dilated at yesterday's appointment and had a membrane sweep. Hoping to see something come of it...

Officially overdue now. I was disappointed my baby is not here for the holidays, but if he needs more time to cook I am going to wait however long he needs.

I'm still here. Due date is today! But I'm honestly hoping he waits till after the festivities tomorrow so I can spend Christmas with my SD & DD. I don't want to miss out on the fun...so selfish

I've had a lot of gross stuff happening "down under" implying that progress is being made. I couldn't bring myself to take a picture for you ladies though, sorry. I'm totally prepped for him to arrive...any day now baby....

Still here Due today, nothing seems to be happening. Walked two miles this morning, had sex last night...REALLY don't want to go to the inlaws' house for Christmas Eve tonight, so fingers crossed something starts happening soon!

39+1 still hanging on. Being due at the end of the month makes time seem to go even slower.

At Monday's appt I was 3cm, 50% effaced with a very soft cervix and baby very engaged at a +2 station. Midwife said she would guess baby to come in the next few days...still waiting! Just hoping I don't go all the way to 42 weeks.

This is exactly me except my appt was today. Dr thinks this weekend but well we will just have to wait and see.

I'm still here, too!  EDD is Friday... I had kind of thought he would arrive before then, but he apparently has had other plans so far

40+3 today and I have a doctors appointment. I don't have my Christmas baby but at least I wasn't in the hospital for Christmas either. I think I will give in to the induction plan today. if the doctor can move someone I will be induced one the 29th. I really don't wanna go into the New Year at this point. I'm so sick and tired of everyone watching me like I may go into labor at any given minute but I am showing zero signs. Especially with the holidays and having to see all of the family that topic just doesn't end.

@aandkmom22 that's the exact same plan I have with my OB. We wont schedule induction until I'm 40+3. Hopefully your LO will come before then, but its nice to know there is an end day in sight if baby isn't here

Due New Year's eve.....still pregnant. Was 3cm dilated on the 23rd.....so now just waiting. It seems really weird this time, DS was a preemie (for reasons unknown), so there really wasn't any waiting. Just more of "oh, no my water broke....and we have nothing ready." Whereas this time, everything is ready.....just waiting on LO to make her appearance.

@aandkmom22 I don't post often but I wanted to say we are in the exact same position. I am also 40+3 today and I also have an appointment today where we will schedule an induction for Monday 12/29. Good luck to you! I'm hoping this baby comes over the weekend, but at this point I'm happy to have an end date. Like you, I'm really not trying to go into the New Year either.

Good luck @marsavary‌, hope it goes smoothly for you. @summerluv12 I'm glad to commiserate with someone. I have been waiting for what feels like forever for this baby to come. Hoping he would do it on his own and nothing. I am frustrated with everyone saying any day now and stuff of the like "Oh you look ready" etc.. Everyday I keep getting texts and phone calls like I have any control or an idea of when it will actually happen. At least now I know the end is near because it has felt like there would be no end to this pregnancy. Plus I feel disheartened when I hear of people due after me have already delivered and here I am no baby yet. Sorry just needed to vent.

Good Luck @marsavary! I feel your pain @aandkmom22!! My phone has been going off almost non stop these past couple of days. I know people are just excited but the comments are getting irritating. Since I'm still at barely at 1cm, my induction will be starting on Monday evening with Cervidil, unless baby comes before then of course...  Hang in there @aandkmom22!!

I'm still here with an inside LO too. And I'm sick of people staring at me like the baby is going to fall out any second. I was told by some random stranger today that I shouldn't be driving? Fucking weirdo.

I have not been keeping up - hope everyone is doing well! I was called into L&D at noon on Christmas Day after my 24 hour urine came back with high levels. Currently on my second round of cervadil (spelling?) after being on pitocin since 8:30 this morning.

After getting to the hospital yesterday I got wicked congested and that in combination with a massive headache has made sleeping not an option. With the exception of a few (2) hours this afternoon but they had given me something for the pain and it knocked me out.

Hoping that switching from pitocin but to cervadil does the trick - at last check was still only 2 cm completely thinned and wicked having fun aka miserable contractions.

Stay well ladies! Think baby!

PS - do not forget your Chapstick!

I am right there with you in the waiting game. Getting induced today just waiting for an open bed. L&D is packed. Contractions started last night but not intense yet. Enough to make me uncomfortable at times.

Hello. Is anyone else left in the waiting game? My induction is scheduled for tomorrow so now I'm a bit anxious plus having more signs of impending labor and zero contractions. Just feels so confusing.

I'm still here! I've been having prodromal labor for 6 days now but no signs of actual labor in sight. I'll probably be the last to go because I wouldn't get induced (if it got to that point) til january. Do I get a prize for coming in last place?

I'm still here too!! @saintelizabeth we are in this together! I've been having prodromal labor also for a couple weeks now. Drs appt tomorrow see if anything more has happened.

@nedralynn‌ and @Saintelizabeth‌ I think prodromal labor at least helps you dilate so it's not for nothing hopefully. I was hoping baby would decide to come before induction date but nothing so far. The only signs of labor I've had are cramping and diarrhea sorry if that's TMI. Hopefully it at least makes the induction easier because I am afraid having seen so many failed induction stories. Thank you and Good Luck to both of you! You get a prize for patience for sure.

I'm still here too! Next midwife appt is tomorrow morning, due date Tuesday. Hopefully something happens soon.

If I do end up getting induced it wouldn't be until January 13th so definitely might be hanging out for a while...
