Hospital Bag Question

OK, this might be really stupid, but should I be packing a book or some magazines in my hospital bag? I'm guessing I'll be busy the whole time I'm there, but then again, I plan on getting an epi and I know labor can sometimes last a really long time - should I bring something to pass the time?

    I'm bringing a small book. Who knows if I'll read it, but at least I'll have it.

    Definitely bring it.  With DD I was in labor at the hospital and was watching stupid TV shows because there was nothing else to do for SEVERAL hours.

    I'm bringing a book that is fun and easy to read.  I figure I might be there for a while and I don't want DH to feel like he needs to entertain me the entire time.

     oh man, how annoying could that get?!? I think I'll bring something for DH so he won't be driving me nuts.

    We are bringing the laptop as well so we can watch DVDs.  Our hospital has VCR players!  lol
