Argh, I'm sorry @TJHine. Is he welcome at your parents? I know that makes visits tough for you with T, but I can't imagine they'd let him keep sleeping in his car.
He is welcome of course. I just need to figure out what to do as far as staying here. Because of course since he was kicked out it means he's taking something, and I don't want T around that. So f-ing frustrating becaue I was planning on being here all week!
WHY THE EFF IS EVERYONE SUCH A MEAN DRIVER TODAY?
I almost followed a lady into GFS lot because she almost hit my car to get there. I wanted to tell her I hope all of her eggs are rotten, her milk is curdled and her cheese stops her up for days.
This reminds me of an Aziz Ansari stand up bit where he says his big insult to people is: "I hope your day is full of inconveniences!!"
Last week I walked in on DH's friend pooping in our bathroom. Today he walked in on me nursing my sick kid. It took him a good couple seconds to figure out I was nursing and avert his eyes.
Guys. I can't with these tantrums. My child has like 4 personalities and 3 of them are mean.
Yep. Is it wrong to ask your husband if your kid is the most out of control 14 month-old that has ever lived?
@Mommyxtwo1113 Yes, still loves the sensory board. We decided to mount it in front of the fireplace. It has so much to do that I think he'll enjoy it for at least another couple years.
Sorry Sing. I hate breathing treatments more than anything. The prednisone will help her so much, so fast, but the side effects suck. Yeah, she will be probably be hyper. FX it's not pneumonia!
Hi. Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone. We're still at urgent care. DH just took Maggie for a chest x-ray (I'm staying behind because pregnant).
Maggie has a 100-degree fever and probably bronchiolitis again. They said with the chest/neck sucking in, that means it's time for oral steroids, so they gave her (what I think is) a big dose of prednisone and then a breathing treatment. I've never seen her fight meds like that before and the nurse said babies never like prednisone, so be prepared to fight her for the next several days. Great. She also screamed and cried through the whole breathing treatment, which is unusual.
After the steroids and breathing treatment, the doc listened to her chest again and said she sounded much better, but now she hears something in the right lower lung which she's concerned might be pneumonia, so she wanted the x-ray.
Oh, and the nurse said the prednisone will make her hungry and keep her up, and will take about 4 hours to kick in. So right around bedtime. NBD.
Now we have to do another breathing treatment while we wait for the x-ray. My poor baby.
Oh poor Maggie! I hope she doesn't have pneumonia. Also fwiw they said the same thing about dd and the prednisone but it didn't have any side effects. She slept and ate like normal. Good luck!!!
@caishov. Have they talked about tubes for V at all? They have done wonders for L. Is the rash from antibiotics? So sorry things are hard right now. If anyone deserves a peaceful and stress free holiday, it's you.
@Sing2phins I hope that Maggie is on the mend soon with the prednisone and breathing treatments. So happy your DC was on top of things and called you so you could take her in. FX that she gets some good rest tonight and that there is no pneumonia.
@Sing2phins I'm sorry M is sick. Poor thing. FX for no pneumonia and hopefully an easy time with the prednisone! I hope you all get some good rest this evening. I hope it comforts you when she is better that daycare was so on top of this and looking out for her.
So A is super attached to his lovey. It's gotten to the point he wants it at all times. Meals, just walking around playing, whatever. He has named it Mama. But I only have one and I'm afraid it will get lost or damaged beyond repair. I saw a couple on eBay for $40-$50! It's just one of those little blankets with the animal head from a Target and couldn't have been more than $10. They have me by the throat.
Hope Maggie is doing ok!! Hang in there sing! @CFox815 I told MH that Jase was being an asshole this week. He totally was. No allergist for us today but it ended up working out for the best. I got an appt with CHOP in January instead. At first there weren't any for a couple months but they had an opening. I thought I was getting the stomach thing this morning but thankfully it subsided. And we are on day 2 of NO NAPS! I really hope he doesn't take after me and quit napping this early.
Sorry Sing. It's nearly impossible to get things done with A here, so I get it. You just can't be as productive, and it's crunch time. Good thing she is do easy going. Hope she sleeps well and is feeling much better in the morning.

Wait, you quit taking naps before you were a year and a half? I think I must have been close to 5. My 3 year-old sister was still taking naps and we had to go down right after lunch. Even if I wasn't tired I had quiet time where I had to stay in bed.
@ggandlee You're right. I know something will happen and we'll be desperate. We only have two Wubanubs, but I don't worry about toes as much because we don't allow them to leave his crib. He used to fuss but now he just knows. When I pick him up in the morning if it's in his mouth I tell him say goodbye Frog, you stay in bed. God forbid I try to quarantine his Mama to his room though.

tubes are our next stop, we're going to be talking about it with the pedi in January. It seems so sudden to me, the kid's had only one ear infection! I mean it's the ear infection from hell but still.
When the fluid doesn't drain they start talking tubes. Has he had to get a rocephin shot?
Also, I realize I probably do sound like a jerk about wishing Maggie could go to daycare tomorrow.
I didn't think so.
Me either. It's frustrating when you have a plan of attack for things to get done and something interrupts that. Not like you're mad at Maggie, just mad at a very unfortunate situation. at a normal time it would be frustrating, let alone 2 days before Christmas. @Sing2phins

I was about a year and a half, maybe. I was and still am a horrible sleeper. My mom often reminds me of this.
@tgrimes1980 I have tons of lovies and a few I bought in pairs JIC. Naturally, the one he chose as an attachment item is one that I didn't have the foresight to anticipate and buy another.
He just threw Mama in the bath, so I'm going to blow dry her and hope she's ready for bedtime.
Can I have hugs and positive thoughts and love? I'm in a really shitty mood, and it has to do directly with work. Ive decided I'm taking the rest of the year off. I can't take the stress and I'm tired of not seeing my kids.
/whine
You deserve to take some time off. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Dh pretty much decided the same thing and we don't even have kids to worry about. Take as much time as you need and recharge.
Tantrums. So our daycare lady got J this toy dog for Christmas. It is the fisher price laugh and learn love to play puppy. He has one at daycare that he just LOVES. Well tonight he was playing with it and got really mad at it and was literally beating it up. I have no idea why. So we took it away. Maybe it sounded different than the one at daycare?....
@CFox815 I'm so sorry. And I don't believe in ghosts but I do believe that people that have died can speak to us sometimes: I have had a lot of stuff happen since Tim died that is really comforting, starting with the night he died.

I'm sorry about your friend. I know I've had encounters with spirits. I think it's awesome that your friend is finding ways to comfort his family.
