Well I lose a million dollars. Instead I get, "I will go return everything cause we are still out shopping...that way all the others can get the things on P's list." Is this an appropriate level of response to, "Uhhh...that list was for other people too."?? Who is the older person here??? This makes me want to cancel the order we got for them! Omg!! I have a similar story. When I was pregnant we traveled to Ethiopia and took a cab to the airport. I was not feeling well the morning of our flight...shocker!! So husband orchestrated getting everything into the cab. We get to the airport and unload and my suitcase with all my clothes isn't there. He forgot it on the bed.
So we wasted a ton of $$ with him taking the cab back home and then back to the airport. I was furious.

I am working on Christmas gifts for the grandparents. Footprints on a piece of paper..."mistletoes"...not turning out as good as I wanted but oh well.

Next year I will have to plan better. Paint footprints don't work the best on paper..it curls. Haha...then I couldn't find a stick of glue...so it's regular glue..and bumpy.

This was not a good day.

But reading about all your days makes me feel like a wuss. I didn't have a medical appointment like @econmama or @lizabethann06. I didn't have a health scare like @Altima. I'm not scared about upcoming travel because of allergies like @picklex . My DH isn't being an idiot like that of @biggunsbo , @cshum or @mamasighs . My kids are relatively healthy, unlike those of @ramy or a few others. So >:D< to all of you!

The good: finished grading! Baked four loaves of bread! Found gifts for 2 nieces, one nephew. Found my ID to enter daycare! Lunch with a friend!

The bad: warning - (this is a long complicated tl-dr story) involving the lack of stores with hinged frames for the boys' daycare pictures, and then the discovery that Alden's photo packet is missing the 2 5X7's I ordered expressly for grandparent gifts,so the hinged frame was useless and the whole idea undone. Then DH finding a hinged photo frame for me, but getting back so late that only one post office was open, and then battling holiday traffic to get there, and then being told that unless I spent $50, the gift to his mom wasn't going to get there until Dec 26. And then the post office lady laughing at me when I asked whether it would've made it if I got it there earlier. Or the same time if tomorrow morning. And then me almost bursting into tears in the post office.

Also, I feel awful.

And I spilled almost an entire bag of green beans on the floor. And the soup-salad combo at lunch said it would come with a slice of bread, but then when it didn't, and I asked for one - they said it would be an extra 80 cents.

Clearly @haddocky is a much more resilient bad-ass than me, who gets weepy just because she's sick and her MIL's christmas gift is going to be a day late. Also a badass: @mrshudson618 with her two babes on her back. Well really, pretty much all of you are badasses.

In the funny category:

Dinnertime was super chaotic- about an hour late due to post office adventure - ended up being grilled cheese and green beans and apples. While I was cooking it, S found my history textbook on the floor and flipped to the Ground Zero page...and proceeded to want to learn about the World Trade Center. Not at all heavy for a four year old. Meanwhile, DH decided to try and fix the lights in the dining room that have been broken for months today, and so we ate dinner in candlelight. I tried to channel S's newfound love of history to before there was electricity.

Tomorrow: work meeting at lunch. Getting DH's gift together. Baking two more loaves of bread for teachers. Sorry - this is a crazy-long post and I am about to sleep.

We are back at our house for a couple of nights before we go to stay with my parents for Christmas. My parents live down the street from H's, and so we left the cat at my parent's house while we were in town for Christmas with the inlaws.

Addie keeps saying "kitty?", "hi kitty!!", "bye kitty". Kitty is not here.

So cute that she misses her dearly. Not sure why she always calls her kitty instead of her name. All the dogs at the inlaws were named Kitty too according to Addie.

Maybe I'm crazy or not reading this right, but I thought it was really nice of her to buy everything on your list. Is it not possible for you to just add more things to the list for other people to pick from? Or could people just come up with something else?

I am totally your mom in this scenario. I'm not tech savvy so if someone directed me to an amazon wish list I would be just as clueless as a geriatric on how to accomplish that. Believe me, I know parents can be crazy frustrating, but I think your expectations on her figuring out the computer wish list might be too high.

DH made DS1 cry yesterday because DH accidentally broke the personalized mug we got him for Father's Day. Apparently it broke DS1's heart too.

DD is now obsessed with the toilet. She wanted to sit on the toilet so I took off her clothes so she could do it. She was so excited so she kept sitting on it, getting off, and then sitting on it again. Nothing came out, but she also wiped herself with little bits of TP. (Apparently all that time watching me in the bathroom is paying off!)

However, I'm now completely freaked out for when she does pee on the toilet. There is no penis so how do I make sure all the pee goes down?! How does one direct a vagina? The way she was sitting I'm convinced the pee is going to hit the seat directly and then pour out the front. I need girl PT'ing tips, Moms of older girls!

DH is convinced that DD is going to be a cake walk to PT. Considering I've been PT'ing DS2 for over a year and still clean poop off the floor on the regular I certainly hope so. I think I've earned one easy PT experience!
