Oh, and look at this precious angel of mine. I was super late to work this morning because I didn't have it in me to wake her up and take her to the sitter's. So I waited for her to wake up on her own. She better keep this up for the next 2 weeks I'm home with her...
@lizabethann06 I imagine Jack as a cat right now. Hissing and clawing under the chair, lol. FX it all goes well!
so much this!
lameFFMC? I'm sad that me buying a planner (weekly/monthly/whatever) would be a complete waste of paper and money. I loved using those things (colors! lists! anything is possible!). But now everything is online, which makes it SO much easier to use and share. But, but, but....
@altima80, Thinking of you. I had bleeding with Eliza at 8 weeks and it scared the crap out of me because I had just had a miscarriage three months prior. I hope you have the same results I did. A healthy happy little one.
@cshum24 I'm sorry he said that. That's not okay. Why can't he fold a freaking load of laundry?
Sorry to all the ladies that have to deal with overbearing family and or inlaws this week. May you have patience and grace.
@etoille, I had the same thought when I read the Australia story initially but I didn't want to believe that could happen. I hate the world sometimes. I hate that I think that initially. I hope she's either completely out of her gourd or she was possessed by a demon. I can't even imagine. I heard they are tearing down the house and erecting a memorial to those poor kids in it's place.
DH and I were up LATE baking last night. We made our infamous peppermint bark, peanut brittle (I almost ruined it @-)), eggnog cookies, and chocolate dipped meringue cookies. We still have to make our sugar cookies and our pretzels. Too much stuff!!
@lwrightenator, how are things? You've been so busy! How are rotations? Almost done?
Why don't they offer numbing spray here before jabs and blood draws?! Aka "some British nonsense" according to MAS.
I would love that! Why don't we do that? That's American nonsense. Since it makes perfect sense.
Oh and Haddocky, any reason you can't print from USPS.com? I print a bunch of my postage because lazy. Also, walgreens has stamps. When I got some holiday themed stamps last week the guy at checkout seemed so incredibly put out by it. Dude, they're in your cash drawer. Not that big of an inconvenience for you. Get over it.
@sparkymcgeee I didn't even think about doing that! You're so smart
@biggunsbo that's annoying >:D< maybe you should make mean waffles notes for him when he acts like that. Maybe slide it across the floor and then put it in the bag, j/k...
I'm sorry that there is a thundery grumblepuss at your house today. But you describe it in such a hilarious manner. Thank you for adding a smile to my day.
@altima80 - thinking of you with lots of hugs >:D<
@cshum24 - that's awful. I'm sorry that you had to hear ish like that. You don't deserve that. (
@amparo1981 - kudos for getting out to play in the cold weather. Hot chocolate sounds good too.
Good luck with all of that cleaning @stephyfaith. Sorry about the sadness. It sounds like the nightmare \ night terror stuff. It's so hard to get them to calm down.
@biggunsbo - sorry your H is being difficult ( That stinks. Mine always asks about grocery lists too... apparently they can ONLY be compiled if you have a V? :P
You guys, I'm feeling like a fatty mcfatterson. I'm not thin. I've come to accept that. DH isn't either. However, he's lost 20 pounds this month. He went to only fruits, veggies, and roasted unsalted nuts. He's lost TWENTY pounds. He's looking better than he has in a long time and I'm really proud of him but geez I wish I could lose 20 pounds in 20 days. Now he's training for a 5k and eventually a tough mudder.

((Hugs)) H can lose weight very easily too. I've been successful with help from meal planning & doctor help. It's taken me 4-6 months though. Not 20 days.
Sometimes it feels so daunting when it's so much easier for our spouses. Sending you well wishes towards your goals. Positive self talk can help too. We are all "works in progress" !
Uggg, I don't feel good today. But I only have 2 days of work before a long weekend, so I really just need to tough it out. This pregnancy is kicking my butt. At least we're not sick... yet.
K was up multiple times last night. The first time I got up with him and he screamed bloody murder and pushed me away. Finally DH comes in and he settles right down. I guess I'm glad I got to go back to bed but I'm a bit miffed. He was up half and hour after DH got him down and I got up with him. He started to do the same thing but then settled. We heard him again at about 5:30, but he must've gone back to sleep because neither DH or I got up with him. Either way, I'm tired and at work while DH has 2 weeks off to hang out with the duder. I'm jealous
@sparkymcgeee Hugs mama! Gosh i can so relate. Prior to getting pregnant this second time, my husband and i were training for marathon....i had finally started losing weight but am a huge pregnant lady right now. He, on the other hand, has stayed on the weightloss training and 4 months later, is now 60lbs lighter and a workout fanatic. I so feel you, love! Huge huge hugs!
Sorry you're feeling low @sparkymcgeee. My H can drop weight like that, too. It's discouraging. I try to even the playing field with the fact that this body can make babies and that is freaking AWESOME.
In case no one has told you lately, you are a beautiful soul inside and out. I just love you to pieces. :x :-*
Thanks love. I really am proud of him. I'm just frustrated that even if I did the same exact thing he did I wouldn't lose the weight like he did. Plus, I can't do it like he did because I don't have a gall bladder and I know my body won't process the food like it should. So this January I'm going to do something but probably not what he did.
@biggunsbo - sorry your H is being difficult ( That stinks. Mine always asks about grocery lists too... apparently they can ONLY be compiled if you have a V? :P
I have major anxiety today. We are about to go spend a week with my ILs (ALL of them - kids, SILs etc) at ILs house in the middle of nowhere. I am so worried someone will offer the gherkin food, or eat unsafe foods carelessly, or use a utensil from a unsafe food in a safe food, or touch her after eating unsafe foods (sounds like overkill but this causes tons of reactions for the gherkin and poor things turns red and bubbles up instantly). And I think an ambulance would take ages to get where they live if anything bad happened. Uggghhhh I hate not having any control. When people don't have to think about this stuff, they don't in my experience. Or say things like "it's such a small amount won't it be fine" NOO. I just hope it all goes okay and I'm worked up over nothing. Her reactions were "abnormally high" to 2/8 of her allergies the last round of testing. :-S
@PIckleX FX everything goes well for you. When we started solids I specifically told MIL which foods were a no no (Strawberries, nuts, shellfish, eggs, etc.) and in one weekend visit she managed to shove all of that in his mouth. All of it. WTF?! Thankfully he wasn't allergic to any of it, but I was pissed/anxious/scared while I watched him like a hawk for signs of an allergic reaction.
As a sufferer of allergies myself I feel for the poor gherkin. Wash her face and mouth off regularly and remind everyone what she can't have ALL. THE. TIME. Be annoying with it. Don't let them forget, and if they do then I suggest heavy verbal shaming. I'd rather be THAT Mom than have an itchy baby.
So sorry, that is so not okay. @cshum24 [-X to the Mr. Perhaps you can share this graphic with him

@sparkymcgeee >:D< That's great your DH was able to see results so quickly but that doesn't seem like a sustainable weight loss method. I'm no expert but from my experience the quicker it comes off the quicker it comes back on.
@cshum24 I'm sorry your DH of a DH said those things. Whenever DH says something anything remotely close to something of that level I turn it into a back lashing of why he is perfectly capable of helping me do those things he thinks needs to be done. (I work 40 hours a week, though, and DH works like 8 so I have a LOT of ammunition.) Hopefully you can turn this around into a productive discussion on getting him to help. Not cool, Mr. Cshum, not cool.

I think he's looking at it as the jump start he needed. He's running and working out and eating better now. He was an athlete in school so he just had to decide to do it.
@PickleX I'm hyperventilating just thinking about it. I seriously hope all your IL's listen and respect E's food limitations. I think it's also so very important to talk to your H and have him be the spokesperson, per se, for you and E since it's his side of the family you're dealing with. Not to say that your opinions or voice are less of an impact (because they most absolutely are not!), but with it being his side of his family, maybe he can be more firm about it and they'll be more receptive of it? This is how we usually handle any potential issue or static from DH's side of the family. He's the one that delivers any firm messages about LO to his side of the family (No don't feed LO shrimp because chiboo9 is allergic to shrimp, No we can't make it to lunch because LO is napping at that time, No don't give her a donut now because she's about to have dinner in 30 mins, etc). Obvi not as severe as your situation, but I hope you get the gist.
I also like him talking to his side of the family for us because MIL is super sensitive and sometimes my delivery comes out bitchy.
But, with all that being said and done, if they still don't listen, then eff being courteous and just be outright. Which I have also done before with the IL's. Mama bear gone mama her bear.
Re: it's spam o clock somewhere
DH really really wants to take the kids to midnight Mass. I have been against it all abong, but At this point I figure why not, we don't sleep anyway.
I hope your day only looks up from here on out!
