I won't write a book right now, but I will say that I was in early labor for two days with contractions every 5-10 mins, then active labor from ~9pm - 3am this morning, with contractions every 1-2 mins, and that I wimped out at 6cm/90% effaced and got an epidural. Contractions were brutal. Now BLISSFULLY waiting another hour or so, resting, until they come check my progress. Modern medicine is a fucking miracle. Might have baby for breakfast.
@snowbaby1214 I can't see sigs, how far along are you? Not much longer now! Enjoy the last few days - labor is a bitch.
Fwiw, I thought I was totally tough enough to do it all natural. I am not..!!!! And you know what, I'm ok with that. Huge respect for anyone who chooses to go through that willingly.
38w5days today.

Agreed! I have no desire to go without the epidural. I don't remember it being itchy, though. Good luck!
@bkmama - have them put 25mg of Benadryl into the epidural and that'll fix it right up. I had the same thing happen with my first. Kind of made me sleepy, but the adrenaline from having to push shortly after woke me right up!
@snowbaby1214 - no end in sight over here either, 38 weeks today. The doctor got my hopes up at my last visit! At least another shift is almost over where I didn't have baby on the floor of my unit. My coworkers are thankful for that.
Have to go out to celebrate my little sisters 21st bday tonight with my family, and I really don't feel like being the huge fat preggo at the bar that everyone stares at, assuming I'm drinking. Would much rather bump from my couch next to the fireplace!
Yay BK! Good luck to you! So many babies lately, suer exciting.
Zoe slept from 10-4 today, I fed her and she crashed again.. so I'm enjoying some coffee in peace! Drinking pumpkin spice coffee while I look at the Christmas tree and I'm getting sooooo excited for Christmas! Need to bake those cookies today I keep putting off...
(Zoe Claire- born at 33.6 weeks- November 19, '14 - 5lbs 15oz)
I got a lot done yesterday. I had another wave of productivity where I went through DS' clothes and put away all the 18-24 month ones. My baby is growing up! But that's ok - I'm getting another one in a month.
The next four days are going to be really busy - I'm working Monday - Wednesday, and we have plans every evening too. And then I have to make sugar cookies and broccoli salad at some point.
DH was also busy this weekend and got all the doors painted that he's making for the interior or our house. It looks like this LO and DS will have bedrooms with doors just in time!
We got our daughter's ears pierced last night. She was all about it, then she didn't want it, then she did, then she didn't... it was quite amusing. She ended up getting it done, but the production she put on was priceless. She woke up at 3am because one fell out. I couldn't fall asleep after that. Shitty night of tossing and turning. This baby was very awake.
Super productive day yesterday, but now I am paying for it. I clearly know what my limits are. 35 weeks today and I'm over this pregnancy thing. I need to bake like nobody's business today for all of my husbands staff. Nothing like waiting for the last minute. I got a call from my sisters yesterday while I was out and about. They were laughing because my 20 month old niece spontaneously had a melt down because she missed Auntie Miggy. And she wanted to talk to me on the "hi Pad". She was absolutely inconsolable. I love that little girl, I felt terrible because I couldn't face time with her at that moment. When I got home we chatted for a while. She is so funny, she is going to come over for a visit today. Can't wait. Let's get this day started!

Good luck! I'm just hoping you meant you might have baby *before* breakfast hope you start progressing!
DH wants to do a ton of laundry today which admittedly needs doing but I feel so unmotivated these days that I'm hoping he sleeps in super late haha. We have our hospital tour this evening so I'm excited for that!
@RobertJane33- not unless I want to cross the border into the states We don't have DD here. I'd have to go into Michigan. Which, btw, I'm totally not opposed to doing at some point down the road when I want a dang blueberry coffee. Maybe a weekend day trip someday. Shopping and blueberry coffee! Alas, I'm not into driving 1.5 hours for a coffee right now. My pumpkin spice is really good, though. It's Archer Farms (Target) k-cup.

It's 7 and DS is still asleep. Why the hell am I awake?
Yesterday a couple of friends threw a small sprinkle for me. It was awesome and I feel incredibly blessed with the people in my life. @CuppyCakes721 came and she made LO a beautiful quilt. Seriously, I love all the kick ass people I have met on TB and I'm too emotional for all feels.
Im awake. Kids are awake, fiance is at work. Oldest son is playing on his xbox360 while me and my 7yearold are snuggling and watching cartoons while I attempt to nap. My tailbone hurts too much to sit on ( the joys of baby girls weight putting pressure there) lol. Hot showers/baths are my thing lately, especially in with all the BH's/contractions. At some point I need to finish wrapping gifts but it is still early morning :-)
Morning everyone. So I had to vacate the bed today and head in to town for a blood test. Dr wants to ensure that I don't have an infection of some sort as this can cause hectic braxton hicks. He gave me an antibiotic last week and I have to admit they are feeling a bit better. I took the opportunity to finish my Christmas shopping. Oh my word. People are so aggressive in the malls. Where on earth is the goodwill? Anyway, after being up on my feet for about 4 hours, I can't even waddle anymore. Too sore.
Wish i was having a baby before breakfast today...
@bkmama Good Luck! Fwiw I had an epidural w/pitocin with DS and it did not lead to a c/s. After they started the pitocin I was fully dilated within 3 hrs.
I'm basically back on desk duty after a very busy work week last week. I only have 4 work days left this month becuase we are closed on wed/thur/fri this week and next.
I've been so excited to see all of these beautiful babies being born. I totally kicked my baby prep into high gear as a result and I'm pretty much done getting everything ready now.
I am officially 38 weeks today!!! Hoping to make it through to 39 weeks with no issues as I plan to head two hours away to see my family for Christmas this week. Looking forward to my appointment tomorrow to see if I have made any progress at all.... so far no dilation at any of my previous appointments even with pretty consistent BH contractions for the last month or two.
I'm so cruel to my daughter. She hates when I touch the side of her mouth.. it makes her pucker up (like she's had a sour candy) and she closes her eyes and moves her head to the side. I think the pucker face is the cutest thing EVER, so I repeatedly make it happen. It's almost like she's ticklish there and doesn't like it. She's also lost some hair and has an old mans head :x I love her.
Had a crazy dream last night about my niece and a huge blow out. I blame my mom who was warning my DH about how his life will soon revolve around poo but I woke up and almost puked. Icky!
Get to see my parents briefly for lunch before they head home (5 hours away) and then my in-laws are arriving this afternoon for about a week (they live 8 hours away). I'm horrible and will totally take advantage of my mil cleaning and helping organize and decorate nursery for the final touches. I like doing stuff but decoration and arts and crafts stuff tend to stress me out instead of relax.
Good luck @bkmama! I hope you get to meet your LO soon!
@HappyMonkey817 good luck to you too. I have to get those swabs done Wednesday (happy Christmas Eve to me).
The only good thing about today is that I get to see my little sister. Other than that I'm anticipating more drama. I really hate this time of year. It was nice for the first week of December then my dysfunctional grandmother had to start shit. I won't bore you all with a long story but the short version is that my grandmother is a giant child and told everyone she wasn't coming over for Christmas and maybe even my shower (it's on the 28th) because my parents aren't doing a big dinner on Christmas Eve.... She wants Maine lobster tails and my parents told her that with all the money they have spent on her and her house ($3 grand) plus Christmas and my shower they weren't going to spend $15 a pound on lobster tails. She told them that before they moved to Georgia they always had a get together on Christmas Eve and ate shrimp and lobster tails (not true because I'm highly allergic to shell fish and she knows this!). The only get together my parents had was having my sisters god parents over. We would have a bunch of finger foods and get to open the presents they brought. I NEVER saw her or my great grandmother that day. She yelled at me for a good hour last night about how inconsiderate my parents and brother and I are and how she can't stand how we treat her like a second class citizen....I almost maxed out a credit card taking her 3 dogs to the vet to get up to date on all their shots and bought the expensive flea and heart worm shit because "you can't buy the generic stuff" (her words! Not mine). At the end of the appointment 1 needed xrays because his eye got some kind of infection (thank god it only needed antibiotics) but by the end of the appointments the bill was over a grand! All I got in return was "thanks hun, could you pick up some groceries on your way back?"...
Grrrrrr! I'm done. I promise. I said I wasn't going to bore you all with a long story. I'm going to focus on shopping with my sister! We are having lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant and the thought of their salsa is seriously making my mouth water! Lol
Mario brothers wii with DD4 and DS3 this morning then appointment this afternoon. It is my 36 week appointment and we are doing an ultrasound too. I imagine i will have the GBS too. Do they do that with RCS? I can't remember from my 2nd. I do remember they didn't go crazy with the internals which was nice. Had a dream last night that i was in the hospital for Christmas. . It is what it will be but i really want to get through Christmas and preferably through January 10th which is DD4's birthday party. January 14th is my scheduled Csec date.
Agree with all the ladies about the random wackos lately attacking us and looking for support, most of the time I stick to this board now, at least they all seem to stay out of it (because they don't get that you can actually post a question on here and not monopolize an entire thread for something RANDOM)
Didn't sleep well at all last night. But happy that my deposition got cancelled for tomorrow so I can get on the road around lunch time and avoid crazy traffic hopefully for our trip down to Jersey. SO EXCITED TO BE WITH MY MOMMY Seriously feel like a child, she was like aw I get to take care of my baby for the next 8 days, I said, you mean Mackenzie, she said no, you! thrilled to get a little spoiled because I am legit TIRED
haha @littlefoote, I agree, moving around in bed IS a workout! At least you can enjoy each other next week even if it doesn't bring the baby on! But hopefully if that's what you want baby decides to join you after some fun

Add me to the GBS + club. I was negative with my first. Boo.
Just sitting here at work trying to finish my last report of the year. People are pissing me off already haha....I really need a new job in 2015. :-)
@elleswarth You should get a really fancy mocktail just to confuse people and get their panties in a bunch...
I am trying to convince myself to go to the grocery store. I know it's going to be packed.
Had a good time making Christmas cookies with the kids yesterday. Here is Owen making his own. :x
Good luck @bkmama hoping pit speeds up labor for you and you will get to me baby before lunch
@bkmama go baby go!!!
@RobertJane33 good luck on Wednesday !!
@BabyStandish the fact that you even think about running inspires me
37 week appt today. I'm hoping for some progress even if that means nothing.
