1 yr bday party - my gosh time flies!

...so i already started the planning mode for mady's 1st bday party.

i know i still got time from here to april, but i like doing things little by little...and of course who doesn't get excited in planning a 1st bday party for their little one?

so i've come up with a theme....BALLERINA 1st bday party! please help me with ideas, lunch menu, invites, activities for the kids. it will be a small gathering of 40-50 ppl...only a handful of kids, mostly adults...so i don't want to get so carried away, just want to make it memorable.

and may i add...gasp...in no time i'll have a one year old! where does the time go?!!?!?!?!?!?

  • Small? That's a pretty big gathering! Stick out tongue I'm having about 50 people too and I'm like how the heck did that get so high!? I guess that's what happens with a big family with cousins and a couple friends.

(FYI: There are a lot of people on this board anti-big parties for the first birthday so you may not get a lot of responses.)

We are having it in a little room at the Children's Museum in my town. It's nice because we'll just have lunch and cake and then the kids (all ages) can go play in the museum. I won't have any games or other activities. I'll wait for that until my ds is bigger. I'm having it at the museum because my house is too small to comfortably accomodate that many people.

Good luck! I hope you get some answers! :) I'm with you, I think it's exciting to plan parties. I think i should become a party planner in my second life!
