Hiccups

My LO will be 2 weeks on Thursday and gets the hiccups a lot. Anyone else experiencing this with their LO? Is it something I should be concerned about. My girls hardly ever got them. He 2 week checkup is Friday so I will address to doctor but wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this.

  • thanks ladies. I wasn't sure if my LO was the only one. @Ashris13‌ I will let you know what they say.
  • Anybody have tips on stopping them? I don't recall DS getting them, but this little girl does all the time and it makes her pissed off.

  • My LO gets them too, sometimes a few times a day. He hates them and usually gets upset when he has them. I find that if I nurse him when he has them they will go away and it makes him less upset.
  • Addy gets them all the time too.
  • My LO hiccups all the time. Same behavior in utero as well! lol

  • I think gripe water helps get rid of them. This LO gets them occasionally, but my last one had them a lot more. If they were really bad and wouldn't subside, I would give her some gripe water.
  • They don't seem to bother him. I noticed he gets them after feedings but I've realized if I nurse him they will go away. I just didn't remember my daughters having them if they did it wasn't this much.
  • Mine gets hiccups daily. Her doctor says it's nothing to worry about, especially since she had hiccups frequently in utero, however, if she gets hiccups before nursing or going to sleep, she does get upset and fussy.
  • DD gets them a lot..also had them freq while I was pregnant as well. Like a few pp stated, I've noticed they stop when she nurses.
  • My little guy gets them often too after feeding. I usually lay him against my chest for a couple minutes and they go away. I notice if he gets upset by it he starts huffing & it makes it worse. His breathing usually calms down when he is on my chest.

  • LO is almost 6 weeks old and gets hiccups almost daily. Doesn't seem to bother her, but worries my DH. I remind him that she used to have them before birth as well.
