you just beat me to it emerald! I'm pumping, bumping, and renewing my defensive driving online. It has this timer that makes you stay on the page for x number of seconds. Tabs are my friend for this.
I can hear DS1 calling me from his room. He woke up grumpy about a half hour ago and I brought him into my room to snuggle. He didn't want to be in here, said he wanted his bed, and hopped down and ran back in there.
That's fine with me, and I told him to come back when he needs me, that I'm staying in here because baby is sick. I'm literally across the hall from DS1.
So stop calling for me and come in here! I can't be in two places at once, kid. ...oh wait, he's snoring? Guess he's sleeping again so I'm spared. Toddlers, man.
I'm going to need some sort of treat for dealing with man cold today. Doughnuts, cookies, pancake platter SOMETHING. It's only 8:10 and I'm ready to throttle him....
I want some to for this epic baby cold!! Please share.
The Screamer slept in his crib in the nursery last night! It was so nice to not have him right next to my side of the bed. He still woke up twice and was up for the day before 6:00, but I'm going to hope we can manage a repeat performance tonight.

send his ass to sleep outside, with all his other shit you don't need to deal with a man cold too.
Baby snuggles this morning. She is not feeling well today. I don't think I will get much done today but being able to comfort her is more enjoyable than I thought it would be!
Does anyone else's baby squawk in their sleep? DD does this all the time. Last night I heard her panting and the she let out one squawk.
I was thinking it was go time and was rolling over to turn on my light to get ready to feed her and then all was quiet on the monitor and she was sound asleep. She slept 2 more hours. I'll take it.

5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
S has his 2 month appointment at 10:30 ET! When DH got home last night I asked if there was anyway he could come, and thankfully he chose to work from home today. My anxiety gets really high and the pedi because I think all the things are wrong.
Hoping for a sleepy baby and not a whiny baby post vax. I'd like to bake cookies and finish our holiday cards today. 75 cards down and I'm wondering why I ordered pre-made cards only to write personalized messages on the back of each. I wasted S's 2 hour nap yesterday writing out cards!

I mentioned this in the MOTN thread, but DS1 was throwing up all night and has the cold sweats. He just now fell back asleep so I'm going to wash the pukey bedding while waiting to hear from DH if I am staying staying home or if he is coming home early and I will be going to work.
To top it off, DS2 gets his shots today. Happy day for all!!
Little man gave me a 4.5 hr stretch last night! Baby girl gave me 2.5. Ugh, I hope they can get on a more similar schedule soon! On a good note though they are becoming more efficient eaters in the overnight hours. Less than 45 minutes most times & less than 30 minutes sometimes, I'll take it!
Me: 37, DH: 42 Married March 22, 2003 TTC since early 2006, Fertility treatments since 02/2013 First Pregnancy with Twins EDD 10.24.2014
So after reading one of my baby sleep books I'm trying a schedule and I'm up at 7 for the day. This is an attempt to get DD to sleep longer periods at night. We shall see how it goes. She always gets way overstimulated. I don't know how to prevent that. Everything is over stimulating!

I feel stuck at this age. I either feel like he isn't stimulated enough or he's over stimulated. #-o
@MrsBabe614 good luck with the schedule, keep us updated I'm curious to know if it helps!
I'm close to having a melt down, what an earth made me think moving house with an 8 week old the week before Christmas was logical?! I've been surrounded by boxes and a crying baby all day, now he's fallen asleep so I think I will to... Packing is on hold for now.
Does anyone else take Metformin for either PCOS or diabetes? I just started it yesterday. The LC I have been working with gave me a book about ways to increase low milk Supply, and one of the things it mentioned was milk supply can increase while taking metmorfin if you have PCOS. So I am giving it a try. I searched the 3T and TTGP boards for threads about the side effects but am curious if anyone here has taken it and what their experience has been like.
DH made a comment about how we're the only ones he knows that doesn't write a holiday letter. 1. 95% of who we send them to are people we see regularly. I'm not going to waste my time a boring generic letter of stuff everyone already knows. 2. I don't care. 3. If you want it, do it and the cards yourself next year.
@angeltennis3 I took metformin while pregnant for PCOS, the only side effect I noticed was weight loss. I normally have a very rampant sweet tooth but on metformin I did not crave sugar or chocolate at all. I stopped taking it about 3 months into my pregnancy so I have no personal experience on how it effects supply.
A friend of mine has diabetes and takes it and she had no supply issues with any of her pregnancies (3 of them).

I found that 2 hours of play post feeding and then quiet time keeps S pretty level. If he gets overstimulated before the 2 hours are up I stick him in the swing because he's content in there alone looking around and watching the birds. He doesn't always fall asleep, but he does check out!

@angeltennis3 I take metformin for diabetes and I took reglan for my stomach up until a couple of weeks ago. I'm formula feeding now, but while I was breastfeeding I didn't have any supply problems, but I certainly didn't have an oversupply.
@angeltennis3 Endo pulled me off Met as my tests came back good post baby. However, I was on it for 10 years prior. Main side effects were some weight loss when starting the med, some stomach issues for the first few weeks, and a GI intolerance if I ate eggs (I could have them in food but got cramps and diarrhea if I ate eggs for breakfast or had a hard boiled egg for a snack). That last one was a weird side effect but easy to manage, at least.

@starla487 I love our video monitor for that reason. C loves making random noises in the middle of the night and I like being able to see if she is awake or just in light sleep.
Originally I was just going to get an audio monitor but DH didn't want to have to go up and down stairs on a false alarm during the day.

We had s similar conversation. I like reading some letters, but when I try to write one I just feel like I'm bragging. And, like you, most of the recipients already know.
I hope everyone and their LOs begin feeling better and good luck to those with 2 month appointments today.
DH and I are leaving Noah with my mom today so we can go see Mockingjay (finally). It will be the first time leaving him for more than an hour (he's 8 wks tomorrow). I know this is a step I need to take, but still nervous.
Ugh. I need to whine a little. My parents and DH's parents live about 5 minutes away from each other. When we go to visit, we ALWAYS stay at the IL's because DH is more comfortable there (his old room is in the basement, so we kind of have our own apartment there). I always wish we could stay at my mom's because I feel like we don't spend as much time with her (he feels the opposite) and I have always been really close with my mom. I just talked to my mom about the plans for being in town next week and she started to cry when I said we were staying at the IL's. I feel sooo bad and plan to talk to DH about it tonight but I know he will put up a fight, even just to stay there for a night or two. My dad and his parents all get to "have" us overnight, so I think it's fair and not too much to ask to stay with my mom for a little bit.
Happy baby pre-vaccines!!! He LOVED the oral rotavirus vaccine and kept turning towards it for MOAR vaccine! The 3 shots? Not so much. Cried for about 30 seconds and then just wanted to be held. Now he's sleeepinggggggg. 23" and 11lbs 12oz!

@Sabby2 - DD does this all the time. One squeek and she is back out. I watch her on the monitor for a minute or so before I get up because often by the time I get to her room she is sleeping again.

I hope to make it to the pedi and back without any of us getting sick. Its always a crap shoot.
