Me too! MH and E have been enjoying it too. P... not so much.
I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, or if P is just much slower to pick it up than E was, or what. But BLW has been a massive fail all around. This kid just doesn't want to eat.

I don't know what I would do in your situation. I put food in front of M and she digs in. Who am I kidding? I put paper in front of M and she digs in. As far as M is concerned, the only thing that makes a thing better is if it's in her mouth.
I do remember reading some anecdotes that kids with allergies are more reticent eaters. Or maybe she just needs more time? Does she get behind purees?
C is a picky eater. Anything I put in his mouth he spits out. He's also learned how to fling food across the room.
I had to switch back the purees to get food into him. He will eat fruit, any carbs, yogurt and puree. I've also discovered I can shred chicken and hide it in his fruit puree and he eats it.
He will eat hummus, but I think he gets more on him than in him.
She is happy to grab food, but she just wants to squish it and then paint her high chair with it. The only food she actually readily ate was a banana, but then she had terrible poop and a rash.
I was able to spoon feed her oatmeal one day, and she seemed willing to eat it. But she has refused it since. Usually with puree type items, she won't open her mouth, and if I sneak some in, she spits it out.
At 7 months, could she really just not be ready for food?

Both of mine were like this, until we switched to milk at 1.
I know this. And I've probably given other people the exact same advice, haha. E was just SO into food. And P is such a chunker, I really thought she would love her some food.
Every kid is different, every kid is different, every kid is different.
Thanks.

And maybe next week she'll start chowing down on everything.
C doesn't self feed a lot, but he can down a puree or a good serving a yogurt in minutes.

Doing solids with DS was like torture. He didn't really come around to them until he was close to a year in age. We started with purees and as he got older, he had some difficulties chewing so we really did soft foods and purees for a lot longer than most. He was definitely more into them than any kind of food that would fall into the BLW category, though. He'll still ask for pouches at the grocery store and suck them down like no one's business.
I know my M is a month younger, but he is the same way, he likes to play with things and squish them but doesn't care much about putting it in his mouth and when he does he makes disgusted faces. For some reason I thought he would love food, but no he just wants to grab all of our food of of our plates and throw it on the floor.
The MSPI Mama salmon cakes with rice and salad plus her Cocoa Crinkle cookies for dessert. I wanted to bake the Who is Pat crinkles but didn't have enough cocoa on hand.
Those are gooood.
@Smallllmin, I made one batch with cinnamon sugar instead of powdered sugar and Oh.My.Gosh. The originals are delicious, but the cinnamon sugar is beyond delicious! To answer the question from another thread this morning, yes, crinkle cookies are an acceptable breakfast!
