Bonus gtky: Does the size of your family (growing up) impact your ideal family size for the future? I think it does. I never got along with my sister. Probably because we were far apart in age. Which I guess impacts my desire to have lots of kids fairly close together. DH comes from a family of three siblings. I think 3 is the perfect number and he wants 4. But for now we're just working on #1.

I'm still holding out this insane hope that, if we get pg this cycle, I'll be able to find out before/on Christmas. Even though it'll be super early, we'd like to tell family in person while we have the chance...we'd tell them about a loss anyway, so...

Holidays and family get togethers were always fun, and, whenever I needed someone to talk to, I always had plenty of options. Growing up, I often wished that I had more siblings.

I've never had tha happen and don' get CM at random so it's annoying me. I thought I might get CH's today for CD 12, but that would be super early too. I have no idea what's going on!!! So when in doubt HIO.

My brother and I are very close and we're nto as close with my sister. I always feel like it's because she's 5 years younger then me (7.5 years from my brother) so in a lot of ways she operates like an only child. By the time she was in highschool my brother and I were both out of the house. DH says he'll be set with two. At this point I'd probably be good with 1...

I’ve had two high temps in a row – I thought Sunday’s was a fluke because I had a crappy night sleep, but I slept fine last night and temp is still elevated – well into where my post-O temps normally would be. I also feel like shit – nauseous and tired, which has lately become typical after ovulating. So I’m kind of wondering if I ovulated super early this month for some reason. I guess only my temps tomorrow will tell.
GTKY:
I’m the middle of 3 - older sister and younger brother. I wasn’t all that close with my sibs as a kid, and even though we are now, I still have major middle child syndrome and feel really strongly about not having an odd number of kids. I think DH would be up for 3 or 4, but I’ve always wanted to stop at 2.

@GoBigOrGoGnome I think it's just giving CD11 as a possibility. Since the temps before and after this day are very similar, besides the initial temp spike, I'm honestly not sure that you ovulated this cycle (and looks like FF isn't sure either). How often do you do the OPK's? Just in the morning? I seem to have a hard time getting a clear positive in general, but seem to get my darker ones in the afternoon.
@NachoBelley it hardly looks fabulous if that is any consolation.

They come on without warning and they are those take-your-breath-away sharp kind of pains around my left ovary. Ouch! Luckily the incisions are only just a little bruised now, so I was finally able to wear jeans again this weekend! Oh, also, it looks like FF finally has enough info from past cycles to give me more details, so yay!

The line yesterday was definitely there, but also definitely lighter in shade than the control line. I did it again this morning, and the line was lighter than the line yesterday. Is this bad?
GTKY: How many siblings do you have? Hah, I have a broken family, so here we go: I have two half-siblings. My dad, from his first marriage, had two kids when he met and married my mom. My sister is 16 years older than me and my brother is 18 years older than me.
Bonus gtky: Does the size of your family (growing up) impact your ideal family size for the future? Yes. I always wanted "real" siblings. While I love my brother and sister, I have no memory of them ever living in the house with me (except one summer when I was 5 or 6 when my sister came home so she could be a lifeguard while on vacation from school). I definitely suffer from "only child syndrome" where I'm really bad at sharing things (I never had to share a bathroom in my life until college, and I was not thrilled about it!) and can be a control freak at times, because I was always so used to things going my way. I always wondered - and sill wonder - what that connection feels like between siblings. I ask my husband this all the time, but he doesn't know how to articulate it to me. But I bet it's a hard thing to explain to someone.

Rants, raves, ransoms, questions, chart stalks: Gah, having frustration this morning. I got 2 +OPKs the last few days, then today a clear negative and a temp drop. I still don't have temps that reflect O. Last cycle, when I got the +OPK, I O'd 48 hours later. So, I'm hoping to maybe get a temp spike tomorrow...? Also, this may be a dumb question regarding LP. Last cycle, I O'd on CD 26, then got AF on what would have been CD 36. So, does that make my LP 9 days? Only counting the days in between O and CD1? Or, do you include O day and/or CD1 in the count?
GTKY: How many siblings do you have? 2 older brothers, yep. that makes me the youngest and the only girl. I was a tomboy.
Bonus gtky: Does the size of your family (growing up) impact your ideal family size for the future? Somewhat. I think I want to have 2 kids, DH thinks only 1. He's convinced he's old, and doesn't want to be too old to enjoy the kid and be able to do things with them (sports, be active, etc). FWIW, he's not old, not even close. So, he thinks by the time we could be ready for a second, he won't want to due to age. Whatev. For now, we're just focusing on #1.
also, about the opks - in my experience, sometimes randomly the second line will be darker, sometimes it will be lighter. it doesn't really make a difference until you get the positive! sometimes people will see a gradual darkening leading into a positive but some will not.

What you're doing: Hating my body, taking lots of ibuprofen, and trying to not to be too cranky at the kiddos at school.

I've never had sore breasts as a PMS symptom before, so that was a huge bubble burst, I was really hoping it might mean we hit it on the first try. Alas, we are not that awesome. Also, my period came a few days early and started in the evening, which is incredibly unusual for me. I always start first thing in the morning. And it was like magic. An hour after it started my boobs stopped hurting for the first time in weeks and my cramps took their place. It's kind of crazy.

Bonus gtky: Does the size of your family (growing up) impact your ideal family size for the future? I think so. I'm fine with two kids. I wouldn't want more than three. My husband is an only child and is pretty excited for our future kids to have siblings too. Thankfully we're on the same page in terms of numbers of children we want to have.

Bonus gtky: Does the size of your family (growing up) impact your ideal family size for the future? Yes, some what, with three of us it always seemed like there was an odd one out. DH grew up with 3 sisters, the two oldest were close in age and then his younger sister and him were great playmates. Obviously that is something you can never guarantee, but I can hope. Our master plan is to have 2 pairs and hopefully we will be starting on our second pair soon!

Alright guys. I'm getting frustrated. My body just doesn't know what she wants to do. I keep getting positive OPKs, only to then have my temp drop and the opk turn negative. I've pretty much given up on this cycle and I'm just waiting to start over...
I've had 1 other long cycle where I ended up Oing on cd24, but during that one I never got a positive opk until I was about to O. I've had about 5 random positive within the last week.

I grew up an only child for a long time, then when my dad married my step-mom he adopted her two sons and they became my brothers. I love my brothers. But I also liked being an only child, since I didn't live with them full time and we have a big age difference. I could go with one or maybe 2 kids. But I don't think we'll have a huge family...too much work.
