DS keeps picking my feet up one at a time, saying strong and then flexing to show me how strong he is. I'm trying to relax so I'm letting him continue. The record for this behavior is half an hour.
DD and me are cuddling and rocking the virus recovery with Sesame Street and doc mc stuffins this morning. And Gatorade. She is so cute and good for mama.
BFP #1: It's a GIRL! DD born October, 2012 BFP #2: m/c at 7w, February, 2014 BFP #3: It's a BOY! Please be our rainbow! Due February, 2015 *everyone always welcome*
@jennjilljoite I first read that as DH displaying his strength and my eyebrows furrowed and my head pulled back questioningly. Then I re-read it and realized you wrote DS! Lol
Your DS sounds freaking adorable (and smart, I'm still floored he decided he wanted to try potty training)! I hope my DS is half as cute!
My spam: I vaguely remember waking up in the middle of the night last night, breaking into the cookie jar and stuffing my face with a few gingerbread molasses cookies. I wish I didn't do crap like that! I try super hard to eat well and balanced during the day and then my half asleep self dreaming sabotages my work at 4am! I wish I could say this is a first time occupancy but embarrassingly this happens several times a week! Wtf! Ugh.
We spent a lovely morning having our Christmas morning. Ella loved all of her presents.
After DH had a nap, during which I refrained from strangling him the whole time, we are now watching some Star Trek as a family while Ella plays with her new Minnie play camera.
I may have given DD a cookie for breakfast because I was too tired to move. I'm laying on the couch trying to get her to play with her toys because my belly has been hurting and I don't want to play.
Thanks @CogDis. I laughed so hard at the thought of DH displaying his brute strength though feats like lifting one of my feet that my stomach started hurting. I'm sure your DS will be just as amazing (even more so in your opinion). I wish my body would wake up eat on is own so I didn't have to wake up to do it.
Feel better all you sick people! We are knocking out the last of our Christmas shopping today. We have had so much fun stuff going on these last 4 days and I think it is starting to catch up with the kiddos. They have had a blast but have been up past bedtime every night (and still waking up at the same time) and are a bit cranky today. I think we will stay close to home and take it easy. We have treats from my cookie/candy exchange yesterday and a ton of Christmas shows on the DVR. I think that may be it for today.
I was able to get the evil border off the last wall and put 2 coats of paint on the nursery last night! All that is left is the brown "chair rail" type stripe that we couldn't do till the paint was dry. Yay me! However, I paid for it because my back was killing me all night and I woke up every couple hrs to switch to a new position. I still think it was totally worth it, it's driving me nuts not to have the nursery set up yet.
Relaxing in the middle of making chili. Because cutting veggies wipes me out these days. Ugh. Other than that, just doing some chores and errands today. DH was totally "nesting" last night. For like 2 hours he was up cleaning, even things that usually I take care of, like the kitchen. Swept it, wiped down the counters, ect. I guess I've really been failing there. Oh well.
We also finished painting our bedroom last night, which is a huge win. I'm calling flooring people today to schedule for people to come out and give us estimates. Still have the guest room to clean/fix and paint, but we can wait to do that till after the floors are done.
We did our grocery shopping and are doing laundry right now. Also waiting on the nursery furniture to be delivered (hoping to post a couple of progress pics soon).
Other than that, trying not to fall asleep. Yesterday took it out of me and sleep wasn't the best. Finally ordered a Snoogle. I really hope it helps.
Awaiting our bundle of cute chaos.

@lizjennings81 you will love your snoogle! I spent the first 7 months using just a regular body pillow and convinced myself it worked just fine.... but after being in more pain than usual lately and waking up a billion times a night (ok maybe just 6) I finally caved and bought a snoogle. The difference is huge! I love this thing! I feel like it snuggles me, which is kind of weird, but I love it! I kind of want to sleep with it forever, not just while pregnant. It makes sleep so much more comfortable in my opinion!
Lack of sleep, Willa not eating, and tomorrow's weight check sent me into an ugly cry spiral. I must have sobbed for at least 30 minutes. Sobbed to the volunteer coordinator at church. Didn't even go inside for the service and instead watched from the mother's room. Sobbed talking to another mom with a daughter who has feeding issues.
I know Willa's lack of eating is not my fault. It is a not an indication of my parenting skills…but it still makes me feel like a failure. It makes me wonder what in the heck we are doing having a second kid.
I just want tomorrow's appointments to be over with. I want my headache from crying to go away. I want my sinuses to return to normal.
I want to eat my feelings since I can't drink away my pain.
I'm sorry you're going through this. DD was in the hospital for awhile due to digestive issues so I feel you a little.
Y'all need to stop. No more tears or I'm gonna have to go get an IV for dehydration.
I'm going to try and take a nap once I can get at least one side of my nose to open up. I just want to BREATHE!!!!!! I should be better once I get some rest.
Hot shower, stat. Great way to get that nose to cooperate. Relaxing, too.
Awaiting our bundle of cute chaos.

@ChickenOnSunday Love to the chicken family. You're a great mom and you work your ass off to take care of chick and egg. Mom's like you are the ones who should have more than one kid. Go do something nice for you and take care of yourself. Headaches are no joke when pregnant.
Cable went out and won't be fixed until tomorrow morning. So I think I'm going to make thank you cards this afternoon for the gifts we got yesterday at the shower.
My MIL came over and took all of our dirty clothes to wash for us since our washer and dryer aren't here yet and I can't. So sweet of her!!
@ChickenOnSunday big hugs being sent to you and your family!! You are doing a fantastic job, I can't imagine the stress it must bring when she won't eat and you know she has weight gaining issues. I hope you are able to get some rest. Being sick and overwhelmed is just the worst thing ever. Love ya!!
Please tell me somebody else has seen the new kmart commercial with the dancing pregnant women!?!? There is no way I would be able to flip down and back up like that without the urge to hurl.
I slept terribly and was awake from 1-4:30 this morning. Having a bit of a tough time as it just hit me hard the last couple of days that DH and I are really on our own for this out here. I've been a bit of an eeyore.
However, I got cake today and DH and I had a fish sandwich and a lovely walk.
The dryer hasn't been working well lately. Last night I finally mentored it to DH. He fixed it while I finished dinner and I did 6 load of backed up laundry today.
Loving reading the fun threads on here. Much more fun than normal weekends.
I feel like I was hit by a Mac truck. No symptoms I can put my finger on, just 0 energy. We haven't seen the sun in 8 days now. I'm thankful that the temps are finally warm enough to melt the snow we got a month ago, but the fog is heavy and oppressive. Did I move to Seattle???
I went a little crazy this morning and made an entire box worth of waffles this morning since DS is on a waffle kick. He also prefers his waffles frozen so I put them on a plate in the freezer that he can get to so I don't have to. I may or may not have eaten 3 of the giant waffles in the process..
We were gonna try to brave the mall for Santa and a movie with DS today but he's just wanted to snuggle on the couch and watch cartoons all day so we're doing just that! It's so nice when he's mellow and quiet like this!
Gonna take it easy today and hoping he goes down for a nap in the next hour so I can get one, too

Best MIL award goes to... @mom2xover2002. What an awesome MIL!
My little sister has a pregnancy fear. As soon as she knows someone is pregnant she can't come in contact with them physically. It's weird considering the number of pregnant women she's been around. I love her so much that I try to record video of hiccups and movement for her. She hates it. I've made a game out of trying to trick her into watching these videos. Tonight I got her. She thought she was watching DS give a raspberry but instead it was baby hiccups. Mwa ha ha.
@jennjilljoite I know right!! Swear our relationship has gotten a zillion times better since everyone is in their own homes now.
So I totally forgot about some amazon gift cards I had racked up using Swagbucks in January/February. Was goofing around online to see if I could find the pack n play I wanted for less. Totally found it on amazon and had enough in gift cards to where I got it for 30.00 out of pocket and 0.00 shipping should be here this week!!
@ChickenOnSunday I hope you are feeling a bit better now- I'm sorry so much is going on. Keep us posted on W's feeding and how your appointment goes tomorrow.
I woke up totally sore (feet, back, shoulders) and still exhausted from my baby shower yesterday. I'm glad we didn't wait until jan to have it! I organized the gifts and started thank you cards. We also went to Costco.
Biggest excitement was when the old and mentally feeble beagle across the street got loose and then attacked a woman walking a boxer on a lease. I felt really bad for the woman, but everyone seemed unharmed. DH went to the owner's house and told them their dog was loose and harassing people but they didn't seem upset by this at all. The beagle isn't a bad dog, just senile. I hope the county doesn't get involved, but the owners need to be a little more cautious with their dog.
So DH and I went to our childbirth prep class at the hospital today. Generally good info, lots of "here's how you can tell the difference btwn fake labor and real labor" and "your pregnant wife isn't just a complaining wuss, this is actually wicked hard." Which was great. But... Ugh I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but please tell me none of you ladies are planning on having a camera crew in there with you to record the birth. I just.... Other than a forced screening before your kid goes to prom, what's the appropriate time to watch that video back? Who do you show that to? I can't think of anyone I'm that close with that I'd be like "hey, check out the crowning! It's my vagina!" Am I overlooking something that would make me want that video?
DH played golf today so I organized and went shopping. My feet, lower back and legs are so dead tonight. I seriously dread standing up from the couch. It's like workout sore. Ow..
@Izzy0927 I should clarify in advance-I want no camera crew-but my doula was telling me at some of the hospitals around here they won't let you film the birth for liability reasons I suppose. This was in response to me asking if she would be willing to take pictures-not of things getting real, though!
@ChickenonSunday - You are an amazing mom, I'm so sorry you are going through this.
I just need to complain for a minute...I'm sorry I have been so negative lately but these illnesses have been so constant! I'll be back to my regular snarky self soon (hopefully).
I finally went to the doctor today and was put on antibiotics for a viral infection. I thought that I had thrush because my tongue is covered in sores but it turns out they are just canker sores and are a weird reaction the virus plus pregnancy hormone weirdness. They seem to be getting worse and worse, I have probably 7 on my tongue , 2 on my lip, and swollen gums. It hurts so bad that I can't eat. DH just brought me back a slice of cake from SIL's birthday and I I want it soooo bad but I know how excruciating it will be so instead I'm sulking!

No joke, my oldest sister has a video of the birth of her first daughter that I have watched...get ready....WITH MY EX-BOYFRIEND. She wanted the moment caught on tape without the money shot but my other sister was filming and got like full-frontal video. I don't remember the reason for us watching this video (it was probably about 8 years ago) but I remember laughing hysterically as he nearly cried.

My husband just asked me why all pregnant women want sex all the time except for me... I want to either laugh or punch him. Probably both. Ugh. Where do men come up with these things?

I packed the diaper bag today
Need to still move DD's keyboard out of her room and into the dining room & go to the local Once Upon A Child to see if there is a PNP there.
