Re: Three of Spam o'clock

  • So, I'm seeking your opinions.

My H's best friend and his fiancé are so different it baffles us. On top of other little things, one is a liberal atheist and the other is a die hard republican catholic. Can this marriage work out?

My H and I are very similar, especially on our thoughts of the big topics: money, religion, kids, education. But maybe some people find the differing opinion attractive?

  • I hope they have similar values, and that everything works out. It's just a very different relationship than what I'm used to.
  • @Mamasighs‌ - one wants kids, the other doesn't care if they have kids or not. One wants to send future kids to public school, the other to catholic.

The list of disagreements goes on and on. I can see where kids would create more disagreements with holidays, baptisms, etc.
  • Yea - I hadn't planned to do anything about it. I do think it is interesting though, and thought it might lead to interesting discussion here.
  • DH has been a bump on a log all day and wonders why I'm exhausted and don't want to go to his friends tree trimming party.
And I have to direct the christmas play at church tomorrow morning... He wonders why I want to come home early.

  • @lizbethann82‌ it sounds like we've had similar health problems this week. When I had it, I thought I might die. I didn't! It did take a good 4 days and 2 prescriptions to help me feel better though. Hope you feel better soon.
  • Scary @juliedave151‌! I'm glad she's better.

Does anyone know of a good thing for cracked hands? I have horribly dry skin on my hands during the winter and I have a bunch of little cuts everywhere. Has anyone tried coconut oil? I have a million creams and none seem to help too much. Thanks girls

I'm sure coconut oil would be great! DH loves using Burt's Bees hand salve.
*adding to say that he uses it at night because it's very greasy

This...O'Keeffe's working hands cream. It is seriously magical. In just a few days your skin is the smoothest and healthiest ever. They also have a foot cream and it is the one I use all the time. Works like a charm...I think the reviews tell enough. ;)

I just ordered the hand cream and the foot cream!!!

  • It's really ladies choice in the Mad group.  3 boys for Maggie and Claire to choose from.  Right now, Maggie is keeping her options open ;)
