Saturday Randoms- silly husbands edition

Well, my husband-face decided that I needed to wake up because "it's 10 o clock, sweetie". Yeah... It was 7am and he was sleep talking. Grrrrrr.

So here I am up earlier than I intended. Random it up with me ladies!

Re: Saturday Randoms- silly husbands edition

  • @Peledreamsofrain that is actually funny. I'm guessing he is still asleep now lol

I am up early because I picked up a weekend shift due to a co workers broken arm, while my husband is snuggly in bed. I was up anyways because apparently my body no longer wants sleep nor can get comfortable.

I did buy a maternity belt yesterday to help with my lower back pain, today is the first day wearing it to work. Lets hope it helps

@ LionelBtchy thats funny..i guess the baby already doesnt like her.lol
Its only 8:18 and i have already ate 3 honey buns!!..i so need to hide them bc if not they well be all gone before 9!!
  • I am chowing down my breakfast like it's my last meal.  I've had really bad heartburn and I heard that eating slower amongst other things can help.  For the life of me, I cannot eat slowly- I try so hard but I feel like a ravenous dog whenever I see food in front of me-just can't slow down.

    I'm still hungry.
  • It's 9 am here but I've been up since 7 thanks to the sound of breaking glass. Not just a small sound, but a loud one that sounded like a window being busted. Scared the hell out of me and dd1, and woke up dd2 who could sleep through a stampede. If it woke her up, it had to have been loud. Except now, I can't find any broken glass. I've checked every window, the dishwasher, the cupboard, and where glass could've been broken and nothing. It's creepy because it's not the first time it's happened, but last time our security system went off(again, nothing broken, cops checked every window as well). Checked it this morning and I think I forgot to arm it before bed. So tired of random stuff like this happening. Is it January so I can move yet?
  • @chilibeansm0m‌ - I hear you on the holiday party. I'm not going to mine because I can't bring my H and I have no desire to go and watch a bunch of people get drunk. And I don't even like the majority of people I work with to take time away from being with my H.

My H always leaves the screen off of the fire place. 2 years ago we had a small ember burn the hardwoods. He promised to never do it again. Last night I fell asleep on my love sac in front of the fire and my H starts screaming at me to get up. Once again he opened the screens and an ember popped out. I didn't get burned but my blanket and brand new love sac now have huge holes.

I am about to ban him from using the fireplace. I swear he is going to burn the house down. He is too thoughtless and careless too frequently. We are finally in a place where we can have nice things and he is ruining them!!!

  • Here's my random thought from this morning. I see on this board over and over again that middle names aren't really used so it doesn't matter if all three names flow nicely as long as first and last do.

I use my girls first and middle names all the time. I picked out middle names for them, why wouldn't I use them regularly? It's their name. I think I am in the minority here.

/end random "woke up too early" musings.

I use my daughters middle names constantly, they both flow great with their first names so it's a natural thing. They refer to each other as that too. We picked names based on how they flowed and sounded together. I'm like you, if I picked it out, I'm gonna use it.
  • @Skrittens‌ I had no idea what a love sac was - my mind went somewhere else with that name. So I googled it and I think I need one now.
    BabyFetus Ticker

  • @chaysefaith‌ I'm totally with you on the middle names. It would actually bother me if my kids middle names didn't flow because then I wouldn't be comfortable using them. If I give her a name, I'm going to use it.

  • @jacqueleen1‌ are belts best if you area on your feet all day? I'm thinking of getting one but I sit in front of a computer and don't know if it's worth it for when I'm walking around.

We have my holiday party tonight. I think we are going to go for a little bit since it's at a cool place. There will be so many people there it won't matter if we slip out after an hour.

We don't use middle names in my family (and my mom even forgot she gave me one) but I still think it's nice if it flows.

  • I woke up feeling like total shit and ofcourse there was like every sickness under the sun in the daycare I work at this past week so im going to the doctors now. Im not taking any chances or waiting for it to get worse before being seen.

So yesterday I mentioned to my boss that it felt like my LO was pinching me in my rib. She said he might have stuck his fingers in my ribs.....is that really a thing? Because I feel like that doesnt make any sense.
  • @chilibeansm0m‌
I work for a large company and our holiday party is employees only also. It's pretty cheap of them.

  • So yesterday was quite possibly the worst day i have had this pregnancy this far :-( I was in so much pain i truly thought that something was wrong. My upper abdomen right under my boobs was hurting so damn bad. At first i thought it might just be gas but as the day went on it got worse. It felt like i was having period cramps times 10 in my upper abdomen. It was the worst when i was sitting down and i was at work and spend prob 80% of the time sitting in my car. I literally was almost crying. I never call my doctors office cuz it's seriously a PITA. You have to talk to reception and explain everything to them then they put a damn note in for the nurse to call you back (good thing it wasn't freaking serious) which took like 45 minutes. Then i got to re explain everything to the nurse which they didn't offer any explanation as to what it might be and just told me to drink water and take Tylenol and lay down and call back after 2 hours of it was still bad. Now I'm not against taking Tylenol at all but i guess in my mind i wanted to make sure it wasn't serious cuz i didn't want the Tylenol to potentially mask it until i found out what it was, i dunno. So i guess it made me feel better cuz if they were not concerned then it was prob ok. She was moving fine still and i checked her on the doppler and her HR was fine and i wasn't bleeding or anything just in A LOT of pain and at that point still had 4 hours left at work. My boss wanted me to go home but I'm still in that "my pregnancy will not effect my work" mentality so i toughed it out and by the end of the night the pain had moved to my lower abdomen. It was so bad even with Tylenol i was almost in tears trying to sit in my car and drive around town. I got home and laid down and woke up this morning and it felt better. I was able to fart a few times last night so maybe it was just EXTREME fucking gas. When i explained it to a friend she swore it was Braxton Hicks but i just don't think so. My stomach wasn't getting hard or anything and it was really painful and i thought BH weren't painful. Who knows. Ok sorry for the longness but today I'm better for now.

  • @drudolph11‌ - I'm so sorry you were in so much pain. The same happens to me - it's a balance - I don't want to call the doctor or not work every time I hurt- pregnancy is uncomfortable but I don't want it to interfere with work unless it has to. At the same time, I am nervous to ignore pain - just in case it is a real issue.

I don't have any advice - just that I can commiserate and send you big hugs.

Boss* not doctor. And she said it completely seriously.

Thats what I thought. Im like how the hell does my baby escape the sac to put his fingers in my ribs? Im just gonna smile and nod at my boss. Haha shes also due in march so maybe shes just experiencing pregnancy brain, too (I hope!).
  • I keep having this recurring dream (more like a nightmare) that I have had the babies and forget we have babies and go to work, or out for the day, and come back and they are hungry and diapers so dirty it's all over the place.

That is way too many and's in one sentence.
  • @drudolph I'm sorry you were in so much pain! Maybe next time take a tepid bath? That always helps me for abdomen pain and/or gas. (If that's what it is)

We've had a busy morning so far. I just learned that vaping is seriously more complicated than I ever imagined. I think we just stood in the vaping store for half an hour talking over the options.

At least this way my in-laws might kick their cigarette habit.

When D and I switched to vaping, we probably spent an hour picking out our tanks and batteries, testing juice flavors, etc.  We walked out of there $250 poorer.

I got my BFP 2 days later.

Haha, I hate to laugh, but that's something that would happen to me! We managed to keep it to 100, which isn't outrageous as a gift for two people. I just hope it helps, and that it isn't too complicated for them to figure out.

Yea my SO and i switched and we experienced that the first time. It's not as complicated as it seems lol. Just shit at first lol you know how something seems complicated but once you get the hang of it you end up wondering why people have such a hard time with it lol we just got him a fancy schmancy new one for Christmas and spend around 90$ just for his. Before though he had a cheaper one and was still smoking a lot now with this new one he smokes maybe 4 cigarettes a day (unless he is sneaking them lol) which is amazing for him. They really do help i was doing great with it before i got my BFP they just have to stick with it. If they have been long time smokers i would suggest they not cut out cigarettes totally right at this moment but work down. That what my SO has done and it has really worked for him. Good luck to them!

  • @ruemorgan @drudolph11 my doctor said it's pretty common in the third trimester; he said it's your muscles being pinched and pushed around because your lungs are having to push out to get air whereas they normally get filled by your diaphragm pulling them down. Mine feels the worst when I'm sitting or lying down, and has definitely gotten pretty bad sometimes.

I'm a teacher and we get out for Christmas break at 1:30 Friday. Our Christmas party is at the school, at 3:00, and no spouses allowed. Seriously, we want to get the hell out at 1:30, why torture us by making us stay. It isn't required, but it is frowned upon if we don't go.

I'm jealous of you nesters. I have absolutely no desire to clean anything. I also have no desire to decorate for Christmas. The tree is up, thanks to H and it's decorated, thanks to my girls. Other than that, you'd never know it was Christmas here.

Glad I'm not the only one not into decorating this year. Everytime I think about it, I think about having to put all the stuff away that much more pregnant.

I am not decorating for Christmas this year just because I know I have no desire to put all the stuff away this pregnant...

I didn't want to decorate since we won't be here for Christmas, but it didn't stop my H from coming home with the biggest damn tree on the lot. [-(

Eta I'm still not going to decorate. :p

Nesting kicked in yesterday. I cleaned the house from top to bottom. My H came home from work and asked what I did all day :| I was not pleased.

I think that earned him a swift kick to the shins.

It should have! I let him off too easy with a major guilt trip.
