I didn't know we were supposed to continue taking prenatal vitamins. How long are you supposed to take them?
FFC: When people try to stop me on the street for something or sell me something I pretend to not speak French. My husband gets so mad at me but I don't want to take the extra time for surveys or to buy calandars. I am also really afraid of strangers while with the baby.
Our province has a program called "Strong Start" which is basically a drop-in, parent participation playgroup/preschool program that's run by the public school system. I'm taking DD there for the first time on Monday and I'm scared. Not for DD, but for myself. I'm horrible at making friends. We've lived here for over a year and I don't really know anyone except for people FI knows from work. I'm starting to feel really isolated SAH and I really want some mom friends, but what if the other moms don't like me? It's really stupid, but I'm super anxious about it.
I understand that people do it all the time and it's your kid and all but it grosses me out when people clean off pacifiers by putting them in their mouths. There are worse things for sure but that's not my thing.
I mix her formula with water out of the tap. She's fine. *Shrug*
FFFC: I think people go way overboard with safety and babies. Obviously some changes have been for the better, like carseats, but most of the stuff I'm like, meh, she's fine. Like her paci.. if it falls to the ground at home I just rinse it off in hot water.
My babe is currently sleeping balled up in a blanket (even covering her face) because that's what she prefers. I'm right here watching her on the camera and I see her lil nose poking out.
H manages a restaurant and today I am not above offering sexual favors in exchange for him bringing me food for dinner. I blew our grocery budget on too many Christmas presents and I'm tired of eating spaghetti.

DD sleeps with a love now. It's a 12" x 12@" blanket with a little stuffed owl attached. She holds it and rubs it on her face. Sometimes she uses it to hold her pacifier in. She sleeps so much better with it and she is totally capable of moving it around.
I know there is a lot of no nos and articles about babies and TVs, but I put LO in his swing and turn on Mickey Mouse Club and baby development channel quite often. With H's weird schedule it really helps me get things done in the house, like cooking and cleaning without him screaming and wanting to be held. LO takes his longest naps during the day at daycare and cat naps while at home. MIL tells me it's for the colors, so I just go with that. Although he does love some red tractor that comes on the baby channel though, he babbles to it.
Tec! DD loves Tec!
YES! That is it, I should know that as much as I know the songs they sing on that channel. H just shakes his head at me.
FFFC #3: I've totally let both my kiddos watch tv. When DS wakes up around 4-5 I plop him in his swing in front of cartoon network or PBS so I can sleep a little bit more.
H and I did this actually just this week. Glad I'm not alone!
I totally leave the TV on and hold DS where he can see it. If it calms him down, I don't care. MOTMFY here.
The only reason I always rinse the paci when it falls is because we have dogs and no one wants dog hair in their mouth. I don't do thorough scrubbing on them though.
I have never sterilized his bottles. They get washed in hot water and soap. I did boil the nipples the first time, I think.
I win all the awards.
I never sterilize things either.. Even the first time I threw everything in the dishwasher. I also wash her stuff with mine in regular detergeant.
We had to stop baby channel... I couldn't take the damn Notekins anymore JFC. Actually all the shows started getting super annoying. And if I see the Honest Company commercial with "Ryan McGee" one more time....
H says the bunny on there has got to be on something, with his constant "mhm, mhm, mhm". He will sit there and just watch it and laugh.
I had a cavity while pregnant that I had to wait until after DD was born to have filled since I couldn't get x-rays. The hygienist told me not to put her pacifier in my mouth because the bacteria from my cavity would go into her mouth and could harm her teeth buds or whatever they are. I don't put it in my mouth anyway, but now I definitely won't. Her teeth will be bad enough if she gets mine instead of H's. Just an FYI for you mouth cleaners

Omg yes. It drives me insane that her supposed name is ryan.
