@abbyful I have decided to make a shadow box of our LO's baby girl pjs because my husband LOVES them and it was the first outfit we put her in. I want to try to do it for him for Christmas. What type of frame did you get? How deep is it? Any tips for application?!?!!?
ETA: I suck at crafty things, so all advice is appreciated!
JoAnn's sells shadow box frames in their frame department.
Are all shadow boxes the same, just different length/width? I really am craft-illiterate.
ETA: I found an online tutorial I may follow. It involves fabric backing and cute pins to hold everything in place.
Has anyone read Babywise? A girl on fb just posted about it and claims it helped her 2week old sleep 6.5 hours straight last night. Wondering if it's worth the $10 kindle price?

Sleep training a two week old? No, no, no. Newborns are not meant to sleep several hours a night. They need to eat frequently in order to put on weight and facilitate proper development. Technically, after the newborn period, STTN for infants is defined as five hours. My ds2 would sleep for four and five hour stretches after six weeks, but it was on his own, wasn't my "training" him or filling him up with empty calories to get him to sleep longer (which is another way of saying inconveniencing or burdening me).
Babywise/Ezzo has been around for a long time, and there are a lot of opponents and reasons to reconsider it.

@JamieK1882 I've had several parents who swear by the babywise series (tolderwise etc.) I haven't read it but the parents who recommend the books had children who were excellent students.
H is usually the one to give our dog attention and play with him! Gunner our dog is so sad and just mopes around! I think he is taking this separation way worse than me! He gets up multiple times a night and all day he looks out the window over the drive way and waits by the door!
Have any of your SO's gone out with friends yet? Mine just asked to go have a drink with friends after work and I can't help but think he is a giant asshole because of this. When do I get a break? Oh right, never.

Mine was going out a week after LO was born. But I'm a doormat.
Oh man I would be upset but I'm a bitch I guess lol.

I haven't read the book, but I saw my SIL owns a copy. She has an Oct14 baby, her first kid.
Is this book where she gets some of the strange infant care methods I've seen her doing? Like she will only feed her baby every 4 hrs, if baby acts hungry sooner she literally says "still another hour before you can eat!". She already tries to force such a strict eating/sleeping schedule.
Bam! Now, let's see if I can do this in public.....
About sleep training, I dont know how you do it so young. Beckham will wake up twice during the night to eat. He eats every 2 hours during the day. I'm breastfeeding, so I feed on demand.

Yes, DH went to an event last Saturday that I was invited to and couldn't go to because of LO. Cue huge resentment and hurt feelings on my part. He came home before 10 and I was still really hurt. We had a good chat the next day but it was still rough.
@lovebuggies1 Hang in there! Things will get better with time!!
I was up from 3:30-7 AM last night!! As of today we will be trying Zantac!
My doctor mentioned using Dr Brown's bottles but we've invested too much into Born Free bottles so I'll have to skip that advice. LO drinks from my boobs 3/s of the time anyway.
My DH is super helpful one night and then not at all for 3 nights. I've stopped feeling upset about it and just deal. I feel like he's missing out on bonding with the baby but I know eventually they will be inseparable. He's amazing with DD#1 and with some things around the house so I try not to complain or dwell on the negatives.
I feel like I had more random things to share but can't remember now and I should probably go to sleep!

Men have it so much easier than us and I don't think they fully realize that. My husband came home at 830, which is really early so I am glad. We had a good chat also. I've just had a tough day so him doing that on top of everything sucked. I feel like a major bitch now though.

Ignore first pic. It wouldn't delete
@IndianaMommy08 big hugs!! Sucks that your H said that to you. I truly hope he apologizes and makes it up to you some how.
