  • devow27 You shouldn't feel bad anyway. Some days, there just isn't enough time or energy to go around!
  • I'm on modified bed rest/pelvic rest and spent a good portion of yesterday cleaning the house :| not vacuuming or lifting anything heavy...just putting away dishes..clothes etc.

When my fiancé got home from work he was so upset/frustrated that I hadn't stayed in bed or on the couch all day. Eppp!!
  • I kind of (a lot) would like to send our dogs, or primarily one of them, on a long term vacation far away.  Among other things, I really really hate the loud barking.  The littler one never does that crap unless she starts it, and it is such a loud jarring bark and it makes me super anxious and kills any calm I might have had.

    All Welcome

  • I have zero self control this week.

I wanted a slice of cake yesterday.. ended up buying the whole 10" round. Ate one slice, then two.. this morning finds me eating the cake out of it's container. Alone. With Netflix. And it might be mostly gone. I've reached a new level of classy!

I'm glad someone got to enjoy cake yesterday! Erm and today.

I have two confessions today but one is more of a rant.

I'm wearing the same pair of yoga pants for like the third day in a row.

Also my MIL is a really flaky babysitter. Have plans with DH tonight to finally start our Christmas shopping and MIL's mom is in the hospital (I get it this time. It sucks that grandma is in the hospital) but every time I ask to babysit there is some conflict that I have to work through that usually ends up with us canceling plans. I'm pissed that she won't watch my kid without question. Especially when we give her plenty of notice when we ask her.

Me too! Haters be damned, they're stretchy and comfy!

As long as your crotch and butt stay covered, more power to you.
I'm a recent leggings and tunic convert
Totally covered. Tops worn with leggings usually come down well into the mid thigh area. No hiney peeks or VPL here

Wearing a shirt as pants would be weird.

all my dad wants this christmas is really extreme right-winged gun/politics related stuff. he's getting crazier and crazier and i feel really uncomfortable getting him anything like that.

i'm trying to remind myself it's christmas, and it's a time of giving. not a time of arguing about how offensive this shit is to me.

    but....ugh.
My dad sort of is too. I just get them a calendar of pictures of my kids from the year. They love it and I don't have to buy anything weird.

  • I spent $250 getting two family pictures custom framed for MIL and FIL for Christmas.  DH was pissed but I think they're beautiful and his parents are totally worth it.  I bought my mom a robe from JC Penney on black Friday for like $18.  It's what she specifically asked for.  Oh god now that I wrote that down I feel kinda guilty... Am I a horrible daughter?

  • My confession is just the amount of lazy i have been. Now i was sick again this week so i have a a lot to do but i don't want to load up bedding and go to the laundromat... but i don't have a choice bc my dad is coming up to do some demolition in our store and he's going to need a place to sleep. -__-

I'm just so over chores. And DH helps but man... i just don't want to clean.

Please don't do that. Animals are not disposable, and if they aren't behaving the way you want them to, it's because you haven't trained them to behave the way you wish.

I would never do that, but I sure feel that way when it comes to her.  She was DH's long before we met and we have been working on the barking...but it's a slow process with her.  She has some serious seperation anxiety among other issues and is quite high strung. So high strung she's knocked me over several times, once leading to a concussion.   I think there is such a fear in her from what ever happened before DH rescued her, about being abandoned since it seems to happen when we are either getting ready to go somewhere or coming back from a vacation.

Also I am just not a dog person.  I have tried...but I am not.  So after these 2 go, there will be no more dogs.  And very sadly because DH is allergic...probably no more cats.  :(

I've read about anxiety vests to help calm dogs with really bad separation anxiety. Have you looked into anything like that? We have a dog with a separation anxiety problem and have been working in his behaviors with quite a bit of success so far, but we never leave him more than a workday at a time so far. Not sure how he'll do when we're gone for a week or two while the house is being remodeled. /:

  • Wearing "leggings as pants" means your butt and crotch aren't covered.  You can't say you are wearing leggings as pants if you are properly covered.  You are just wearing leggings which is not really much of a confession.

I'm so confused... If they are covered aren't they called tights? Are tights and leggings the same thing?
My confession: I have never owned a pair of leggings, I'm more of a jeans girl. Maybe I should invest in my first pair of leggings... :-?

we tried the thundershit...it did nothing for her.  When we leave for long periods of time, like on vacation, we have to either have DH's parents watch her or neighbors that can take her or she will do so much harm to herself trying to get out of her kennel.  We don't crate her, so she won't feel so closed in, we have a huge kennel in the basement instead.  We tried leaving her out downstairs, we tried the laundry room, all no gos.

What we do now when we pack up for a weekend trip or anything like that is we will do it the night before and after we put them to bed, we take everything to the car so in the AM we can leave like it's a normal work day.  Just when we come home is when you have to watch out, even when we give her time to calm down in the kennel before letting her out.

I wish I could find a way to convince her that the world isn't ending and we aren't leaving forever and she won't be abandoned and left to starve in her kennel.

hope your doggie does ok during the remodel.

That's not a confession. There's nothing wrong with not waxing!
I thought I was the exception. Brazilian waxes seem to be all the rage. I landscape, just not with wax.

If that's flammable, I'll be right there in the fire with you.
Your hair situation is between you and your husband! Whatever works for you. And it's mostly up to you, he gets to express an opinion but that's it. Just like I express an opinion about when DH should trim his beard but I'm not the boss of his face. (except for our wedding, then I got to be the boss of his face and hair situation)
OMG @somerandomchick‌, you just gave me the best idea ever. DH refuses to shave his beard and I hate it. Despite my protests, the beard persists. I will now suggest that he is right and fur is in season and I will show my support!! >:)
Tried this once... didn't work. Bothered me waaay more than it bothered DH.

This. I got my eldest from the Humane Society 10 years ago. He's an awesome dog (although I'm convinced he's autistic...), except when he thinks he's left alone. He ate our couch just a few months ago because he didn't realize I was downstairs. Poor guy has some serious issues. Separation anxiety and barking. We kennel trained him, and he goes in his kennel when we aren't home. He was pretty beat up when he'd arrived at the shelter, so I'm not sure what his previous owners did to him :-( I get what you mean by being frustrated. We all get frustrated with our pets and kids... Like I said, I've had him for 10 years and he listens to every command except when it comes to barking. Sometimes there's nothing you can do.

I have a dog who has horrible, horrible separation anxiety. If I leave her crated, she'll self mutilate. It's BAD. She barks too, when I leave her. She's an amazing, wonderful dig otherwise. My vet has been an amazing resource in helping me find ways for both of us to have a peaceful life. We ended up putting her on fluoxitine daily, and then have xanax as needed if it's a really bad day. I'm not a big advocate for medicating.. but it has made all the difference in my world with my dog. I thought there wasn't anything else to do once I had exhausted training, specialists, etc. Maybe you can talk to your vet :-)

I already confessed to not being able to stand some of my inlaws but I'm going to confess that I am so pissed off at DH right now that I folded all of his dirty underwear that were in the laundry and put them back in his drawer. Not nice, but I don't care.

When I'm mad I give DH the smaller piece of food. (smaller half of a sandwich, smaller pour of soup, or I steal the extra piece of bacon etc).

It's not that mean as passive aggressiveness goes but it makes me feel guilty later
I won't be feeling any kind of guilt when he puts dirty underwear on tomorrow. In fact, I'll probably laugh hysterically. It's been a rough week and he pushed me over the limit.

Haha! I do the same. I'll give him the piece that doesn't look as pretty or the slice of bread that's a little harder because it's in the front.

PS. I always get the extra piece of bacon, even when I'm not mad.

I did this. My DH had this crazy idea that when our house flooded he wouldn't shave until we had it back. That was a year and a half ago. He's the kind of guy who has a 5 o'clock shadow by 9am so after 2 months he looked like a lumberjack. We booked our honeymoon just before the flood (literally 2 days--without buying insurance). We went on an Alaskan Cruise. He thought he was going to fit right in. We had been living between my parents and his grandparents. A full size bed at one house and twin size beds at the other--kid you not! So he hadn't noticed I had gone on my own strike--down there. First night of the honeymoon he was flabbergasted! I said fair is fair and handed him the beard trimmer. I shaved and we haven't had the problem since. Thank god--he would look like one of those Duck Dynasty dudes by now!!

My FFFC...I just purposely burnt the sloppy joes I was making by "accidentally" dozing off because I didn't want to go out and get the buns I forgot to buy. DH and I were in a stand off over who was going. He just ordered us a pizza. I win.
