lurking from 9-12..escaping the crib.

i am deathly afraid of DS escaping his crib and hitting his head on the hard wood floors.  has anyone's LO started doing this and when did it "approximately" start with you? and if you have hardwood floors through out your house what did you use to possibly make the fall less painful?

I bought a crib tent.  Asher did this for the first time a little bit before he turned 1.  The crib tent I bought was from a company called Tots in Mind.  They make one for standard cribs, covertible cribs, and play yards.

My older son climbed out a couple weeks ago at around 26 months.  You could put a bunch of pillows on the floor around the crib.

DS did this. He fell out of the crib (more like catapulted?) onto the hard wood floor. Luckily he was okay. He did it a couple times around 10 months and I switched him to a twin on the floor.
