Yes--black tie at a country club. On a Thursday night. Expected that you will stay out until about 2:00, and then be bright-eyes and bushy tailed in your office ready to work hard the next morning at 8:30 am! Silly--but that is "how it has always been done!"
Yes, and yes, we're going. Our parties are pretty extravagant and are held on the club level of Raven's stadium. Every year is an awesome theme - last year was Mardi Gras, the year before that was a winter wonder land and they literally brought in a portable ice skating rink and had professional ice skaters do a show. It's also open bar with tons of food, and there is usually at least one special guest (usually a Baltimore Raven). A few years ago it was Ray Lewis, and a few weeks after the party is when he announced his retirement. That is something I'll remember forever! Working for a large tech company definitely has it's perks!
We have one for our department but we pay for it ourselves...$37 for lunch! I work for the big boss so I kind of have to go. The president of the company has one too. I went for a little bit. It's at the end of the day/after hours and I didn't have anyone to watch dd.
Yes and yes. My staff all agreed on a date after Christmas because holiday schedules were too crazy. We will get together for a potluck at my pharmacy manager's house. Families of all of our staff are invited too.
the company i work for is too large to have a company party. we have smaller departments, and we usually do a potluck or something..my direct line is doing a lunch here at work..but nothing fancy.. i saw a sign posted in one of my areas that everyone is meeting at a casino this friday....does that count?
Re: Work Christmas Party
LO then (2 days) and now (1 year)
It is held at a country club on a Saturday night. If DH isn't working and we can find a babysitter we will probably go.
