No way, I have a birthday 6 days before Christmas and it has sucked every year, from dual birthday Christmas presents to no one wanting to celebrate my birthday because they're too busy. To having finals week on my birthday every year. Not something I'd wish for my child.
I am hoping to make it to Christmas at the very least. Bubs is at 34 weeks now and I have been in hospital with contractions for the last few days . Am home on bedrest now. Hopefully all of this eases up and our little man waits till after New Years - but at this point Christmas would be better than now. Good luck to everyone! May we have complication free last few weeks.
Nope. I'll be 36-37 weeks over Christmas and New Years. I'm scheduled to give birth Jan 22, day before my due date. Wouldn't be opposed if he came on his own the week before but definitely not at the holidays.
No, I'd rather the baby waits until Christmas and new year had passed as my friends who have birthdays around that time say they never get to celebrate it properly as everyone's busy or away!
No - I'm due 1/19, and Christmas or NY would be too early. Plus I'll be at my IL's two hours away, and I'd probably have time to make it to my hospital, but I don't want to give birth at the hospital in their town.
Nope. Christmas & Christmas Eve birthdays suck because everyone is with their families celebrating the birth of Christ. How do you compete with the birth of Christ?? New Years birthdays suck because everyone is too hung over to do anything. My birthday is New Year's Eve, which is probably the best of the 4 options to have as a birthday. At least everyone is all geared up to have a party but who wants to share a birthday with their mom??
I'm due Jan. 2, so all 4 are definite possibilities.
I'll be 38 weeks on Christmas Eve, which is considered full-term for twins, so they very well could decide to arrive on Christmas Eve or Christmas day. I REALLY hope they avoid having a Christmas birthday, though. It's bad enough to have to share your birthday with your twin every year, but to have to share it with Jesus, too? I want them to have their own day.
I'm hoping for January 5th, 5 days early. my due date is 1/10/15 and my birthday is 1/16, so I hope Joshua comes early to spread out our birthdays. My husband wants him to be born on December 21st or 22nd to be able to have him home at Christmas with us.
I'm due 12/28, and hoping she doesn't come on a holiday! My birthday is 30th, so I definitely know what having a birthday near the holidays is like. She'll just have to deal with that (it's not so bad!), but I do hope she gets her own day that isn't a holiday......plus I don't want to miss Christmas with my boys because I'm in the hospital!
Due Jan 5, no RCS date yet, but I've said right from the start, this baby is gonna show up on Christmas. My son was born on my birthday, so what the heck, holiday baby sounds good lol.
I am due 1/5/15 and would rather avoid the holidays but would love for her to come on her due date because those numbers are pretty cool for a birthday.
I wouldn't mind new years eve but I overall don't want a Christmas or Christmas eve baby... however I have very little control over it so whatever happens happens!
Deffiently not christmas or.christmas eve. I dont want to br in thr hospital for christmas with my preschooler at home! Ds was 3 weeks early and if ds2 comes like his brother he would be born the 23. Im just going to cross my legs until the 26th haha. My birthday is the 29th and honeslty its not that big of a deal to have a holiday bday. I have lot of friends and family birthdays in dec ans we still celebrate all of them.
I wouldn't shove the kid back in if he decided to show up on NYE in time for a nice tax deduction... But I'd be even happier if he wanted to keep cooking another week or so since I am due 1/13
I'm due Jan 14th. I am sure hope he waits until then. I do not want this poor child to have a birthday during the holiday season, and I want my mom to be able to be at the birthing with me - she flies in on the 9th of January.
I'm due 1/4, so it's a possibility. My son's bday is 12/26. My sister is getting married 12/27. I'm really hoping I get through all this before baby comes. But it's out of my hands, so whatever happens! The tax break would be nice. We're celebrating my son's birthday in the summer because I just cant--financially or emotionally--plan another celebration.
No way! First of all I'm not due until 1/21 so that's too early PLUS I want to avoid a December/holiday baby all together. I think it would suck to have your birthday on Christmas.
I'm due Jan 1st so they are all possibilities. I really hope baby is late so it doesn't happen. I think it would be awful to have a holiday baby. I hope he gets his own special day. But babies arrive whenever they please
Not due until the 11th, but I would be happy if she decided to come before the end of the year. NYE would be a little early, but I will be more than 38 weeks so it isn't too bad. I don't want her to come before she's ready though and I definitely do not prefer a Christmas birthday.

Re: Any one hoping for a holiday baby?
I'm due Jan. 2, so all 4 are definite possibilities.
I like the idea of a NYE bday, but I'm totally fine with any day she decides to arrive.
