    I hope and pray that I do not have the same nurse for my delivery that I have tonight. She is seriously pissing me the hell off. She pulled my sheets off of me and rearranged them the way SHE liked, she won't let me get comfortable and keeps propping me with pillows all cockeyed and stupid (I'm not even on the monitors so it's not like its to get a better reading). I didn't want the TV on but she walks in, turns it on and then turns the volume up, I said I didn't want it on, and she said "well I turned it on for you" and then left it on. Maybe I'm just being bitchy, but I don't like her.

    Laying down and drinking water hoping these contractions are just the typical BHs although they feel different then the typical. Although I'm almost at 36 weeks, Miss Skylar needs to bake a little longer.

    Thanks.  First ever therapy session went good today, but took a lot out of me.  My two year old is actually asleep before midnight tonight (I've been having a horrible time getting him to sleep at night) so it's time for me to go get some rest.

    I hate this game. At least when I had Pre-e with DD it was definitive, no questions about it.
    Me too with my DD, and I was 39 weeks when it came out of nowhere so it was show time... None of this waiting/dreading/worry. Hope we both end up with different outcomes this time!

    Do any of you teach high school? My students (an honors class, my 2nd year teaching the same group of kids- I moved up with them from 9th to 10th grade) told me they want to throw me a shower, but I don't want them to. It's a sweet gesture, but it just doesn't feel right/appropriate. So far, I've just laughed it off, but they're starting to hold my feet to the fire about it. How do I tell them no nicely? I have no trouble telling them "no" to all kinds of things, but I know that this is really well-intentioned, and I don't want to be rude about it.
    Here's a thought...they want to do something sweet and nice for you in honor of your LO. Perhaps they could sponsor an angel from an Angel Tree or donate to the local Children's Hospital or charity of their choosing. That way they are not gifting you and your baby directly, but are honoring you both with a grand gesture and supporting the spirit of giving for a charity or cause.
