  • If you like the name why does it matter what we think? If you and your S/O love it then that is what matters.

  • Pacey is hott.  Not sure I'd want to associate this with my kid, but it's not my kid.

  • No. I feel like it sounds like pacifier. Also, if you love the name that much why are concerned about what internet strangers think.
  • My opinion on this topic does not matter one bit. It only matters what you think.

  • If you love it I say go for it. It's not that weird, better than blue ivy or apple. And by the time he is big enough to even think about his own name Dawson's creek will be soooooo old.

  • Definitely had an obsession with Pacey from Dawson's Creek growing up so I'm with you there.

Wouldn't name my son Pacey though, actually lets be honest, my husband wouldn't let me name our son after a character on Dawson's Creek.. haha

If you love it, why worry about other people's opinions? No matter what name you choose, someone will most likely have an opinion, so choose what makes you happy!

Blue Ivy and Apple will not really have a problem making their way in the world and won't be held back by their names because their parents are rich as hell. For the average human, might not be so easy with a weird name. This comparison is ineffective.
IL have to agree with you on that.

  • Think of your child's name on a resume. Would YOU hire a Pacey Landon? Or think of yelling at him to come in from playing outside. Would you be ok with yelling "PACEY GET YOUR BUTT INSIDE NOW!" all over your neighborhood?
I mean yeah like I said before I like the name i just want everyone else to be accepting I guess. I've definitely heard of weirder names....naming a child is so hard!!!
With a name like Pacey that will never happen. If you love it, use it. I don't really like Landon, but I prefer it to Pacey.

  • It's not my favorite, I remember the first time I watched Dawson's creek I thought "who names their kid Pacey?" But if you love it, go for it. I like Landon Pacey better. I would stick with ey, ee and ie are too girly looking to me.

I didn't but I'm at my last straw with this stupidity.

  • You guys are saying no,but don't have a reason....

Because the name is bad to begin with, but when you use the ugly, dumbed down, and kind of girly alternate spellings, it's 10x worse. Paycee? It's like you're spelling it phonetically for a dumb person who can't read. I notice from your other posts you struggle like woah with spelling. Please do not put that on your child, he'll have to live with the name. Can you just say you'll go with Landon as the first name please, even if you aren't, to put this thread out of its misery? Please?
Omg didn't know I was in English class! Whoa that was close! Hopefully when your child is in school they don't take the traits of a bully like their mother, if anyone needs to be on phonics it's you! Sorry using swipe on my phone didn't realize an English major had so much time on their hands. Or am I paying for your cell phone bills along with all your other expenses...what is this baby number 4 with baby daddy number 4?! Sorry thought this was a support group for mothers, didn't know this was the 411 for bitch fest!

    You, OP, are awful.

  • Hi- It's your son and should be yours and your SO decision. Don't let this community sway your love for the name. I say go for it!
  • Hate the name Pacey. I could see a kid getting teased about it by other kids. No one he grows up with is going to know it was a character from a show. I like Landon though

You should have chosen new poll that way it could keep track of how many people love the name and how many people hate it

I second that. I was wondering where out of left field that came from.

Well, if your poor name choice doesn't force the child into a lifetime subscription to bullying, his mothers attitude and choice of comments sure will. Not to mention, hopefully his father is better at putting sentences together...

Maybe she is naming him Pacey because she was hoping for a girl.

Haven't had the first sing of morning sickness and my boobs hurt at first too but not so much anymore. And I'm having horrible back pain!I find out what I'm having December 1st. I hope I'm having a girl!

She has also posted before and stated, "she doesn't have the time to post every 5 minutes like the rest of us".

Guise!! She is just too busy (asking stupid questions and not improving her literacy skills)!
    bwahaha!  She's a peach.

  • I am not find of it. I feel like if you want to go with Pacey you might do better to use a more common middle name so he has one typical name he can choose. Pacey Michael or something like that is less trendy sounding.
