We feed DS solid foods 2 times a day (we have tried for 3 but that doesn't always happen). He is still on the pureed stuff and haven't gotten the feeling he is interested in finger foods yet (also has no teeth) but after reading all these food posts I feel like we are behind. He is getting about 24-30 oz of formula a day and I'm wondering if this is too much and we should try to move towards more solids. We have tried water in the sippy cup also but he hasn't quite grasped that concept and is only interested in playing with the bottle, not feeding himself with it.
How much formula does your 8 month old get per day?
Re: How many ounces for 8 mth old?
DS is eating 3 meals a day, and has been since 7 months. However, we have purposely been upping his solids intake without dropping his formula intake to help promote weight gain.
During his last growth spurt, DS got up to 32 oz a day, but he generally averages 28 oz daily.
