  I hope all goes well with you and you find relief! I believe my SIL had this same issue many years ago after the birth of her son. I will ask her about it and let you know of her outcome (she also had a wicked sense of humor about it because, well wtf.)

  Sorry gals, I keep trying to update the original post, but it's not showing up, so here's my update:
  
  Wow, you ladies are awesome! I didn't expect such an outpouring of love and support for my poor little butt, lol.
  
  Surgery went well and seems to have had no effect on baby whatsoever. I was completely numb from the waist down but could still feel him moving like crazy. Still frozen from the local so not sure what the pain will be like, but I'm sitting on a donut and hoping for the best!
  
  Thanks for all the well wishes and so sorry to those of you who have dealt/are dealing with similar issues... I'll keep you posted and let you know if the pros outweigh the cons
