I was eating a bagel this morning in the car. DS was crying, and I asked if he wanted some, and he yelled, "No! I want Daddy!"
Then like 20 minutes later, he asked for some of the bagel, but it was gone. Sorry, DS!
Work is busy. I am going to be relieved when I finally have this baby, not that it will be a vacation, but I'll enjoy something different for six weeks.
We have had the Christmas tree up and lights on it since the Sunday after Thanksgiving, but I haven't done ornaments yet. DH asked me about it last night, and I told him that it just seems like a lot of work, and then three or four weeks from now, it'll be a lot of work to take it all down, so maybe we can go simple this year and skip the ornaments. He was not on board.
Spent this weekend doing a glorious amount of nothing. Got lots of sleep. Ate half a pint of peppermint bark Talenti gelato last night. I have another pint in eggnog flavor waiting for me in the freezer...
We still don't have all the furniture we'll need for the baby and I am getting really anxious about it. Several family members have promised to send checks/gift cards to help, which I very much appreciate, but I hope they're not waiting for Christmas! My EDD is 12/31, so that's cutting it a LITTLE close. We may just go ahead and buy all of the stuff ourselves now, and if we get gifts later, well, great.
@bkmama where does one buy such amazing sounding gelato?! I had plain jane dutch chocolate yesterday and now I just don't think I can go back to that after hearing about the peppermint bark!

My DH was upset when I said that I was going to skip putting out the Christmas "linens" (i.e. bathroom handtowels, kitchen dishcloths) because we normally only use them for our party that we aren't having. Not upset enough to actually put them out himself though. (And I'm totally thinking of skipping the tree)
Welp my growth scan went well and LO (if I can still call him that) is estimated 6lbs already (at 33 weeks!!). I know those can be off, but dang! At least it makes sense why I'm sofa king uncomfortable, he's already estimated almost the size DD was when she was born!
Also I have a killer headache and really want to go home. I am still waiting on my 24 hour urine results and I know that HAs are a symptom to watch out for but it's so confusing with my migraine history. This one doesn't feel exactly like a normal migraine (no light sensitivity), but seems more migraine than regular headache... who knows. I sent a message to my OB nurse so we'll see what they say.

I got them through a grocery delivery service called FreshDirect:
I bought a box of 50 assorted munchkins this morning to thank my office for my baby shower on Friday, and got irrationally upset when I opened the box and saw they only put 2 different kinds in it.

I have about a month to go and am really starting to feel it! We just finished moving in to our new home which is great but the last three days have been draining. I am at work today and my boss is just being short with everyone. My tummy is so sensitive my shirt hurts to touch it.
However despite all the bad things I found out I got 100% on my two finals I already took. Plus I only have two weeks left of work!
Also is the a page that has talked about freezer meals yet? What are some easy dishes?
I had a doctor appointment this morning and she again was shocked at how much my baby was moving. I keep telling her - this baby moves all.the.time. She did confirm that the baby has dropped and that's why I'm feeling so much pressure down low. Also she thinks the baby may be on the smaller side so I'm going to have a growth scan next week also.
I scheduled the rest of my doctors appointments - I go weekly from here on out. Crazy. Work is insane so even though my doctor told me I should try and slow down, I can't really - not this week at least. I'm hoping to be able to work once a week from home from now on though. We'll see!
Also, it's freaking freezing here. The wind makes it so much worse.
I don't know if it's today, but I've got an itch to pull out all the baby clothes and get them washed and hung up. Also, I've been wanting to wait until after all the Christmas gifts are bought to buy a dresser. .... But I may just have to go buy it this weekend and get it all set up.
I had all my other boys at 39 weeks. ... which means I've got 6 weeks if I follow my record. 6 weeks! I've done nothing in preparation and I've been OK up until this very second.
Also, I have 2 pies in the fridge. I'm gonna go have a morning snack.
I very well may drive to Portland to get his coming home outfit today, because it's been bothering me that I still don't have that.
Last night I had a dream that I was in bed and H got up with the newborn baby and changed the diaper. Then he laid the baby on my chest to nurse. Every bit of the dream felt so real. It was the best feeling having our little family all together and H and I working together. If a dream felt that real and amazing, then I can't wait for the real feels!
My work through me a baby shower last week and gave us a very generous Visa gift card! We used a majority of it over the weekend to get a couple last needed items.
I finished my Master's two and a half years ago. I wrote up a paper for publication then, but it has been sitting on my advisor's desk since (he had 3-4 different responsibilities within the department at the time). Well, he has been working on it, and we are hoping to submit it for publication this week! I am really happy about that! I don't think the second paper we were planning on publishing from my thesis will happen, but at least this one will get out there!
Welp...Just got a massive craving. Guess I am getting dressed and heading to my sisters now, McDonalds is on the way! I generally dont like McDonalds but man an egg mcmuffin is sounding delicious!
Mmm... I am craving a BLT and will def be getting that over lunch.
My family "themes our Christmas". This year it is your favorite character from a Christmas movie. I came up with the perfect costume for my husband and I. We will be Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye when they dress up as the Haynes Sisters in the movie White Christmas. We can wear regular clothes and a Blue glitter butterfly headband an blingy bracelets and I just ordered powder blue feather fans off of amazon. So excited.
@MrsFaFa2 White Christmas is my all time favorite Christmas movie. My sister(twin) and I always do that dance and sing along every Christmas Eve when we go see our parents. We are probably far to old to still be doing that but we have no shame. Lol
Had a dream last night that we had a little boy (we're having a girl) who had the same color eyes as DH, the prettiest blue. We were carrying this little boy around, showing him off to everyone. People were just "oohing and aahing" over how adorable he was! I woke up happy that we had a healthy baby, but now I have this irrational fear that our Dr has gotten the sex wrong all these months.
January '15 January Siggy Challenge: Newborn/Baby Fails
@caitylady12 it is my favorite too. My sisters and I would sing it and do the dance. This year being almost 9 months prego at christmas I didn't really want to dress up but wanted to participate, so i figured this would be easy.
I'm 37 weeks today!!!!!!! So not ready for this baby to come, but determined to finish everything up within the next few days just in case!
DH and I just realized last night that DS1 is only one pound away from outgrowing his car seat. That means that we need to buy him a booster seat, and he won't be in a 5-point-harness any longer. I'm not happy about this......he can't be that big yet, and it definitely doesn't seem safe enough for this momma!
I discovered the most amazing ice cream this weekend! It's banana ice cream with peanut butter swirl, and I'm ashamed to admit how much I've eaten within the past few days. And, I totally plan to go buy more when it's gone...
I made an appointment tomorrow about my hip and back pain. I just want to get an Rx for PT, but they want to see me. I have to bring my 2yo because we have a Christmas party to get to. I'm really hoping the appointment doesn't take too long. I have my regular appt later in the week so I'm not sure if they are going to combine it all in one visit or not.
I need to start planning my son's birthday party, but I just don't have any motivation. I feel bad because I don't want his birthday to get overlooked.

I could hold you for a million years
to make you feel my love.
Just found out my 24 hour results came back ok (250s which is high but not in pre-e range yet), so that's a win! Also OB is not worried about baby's size, but he does want me to do the 1 hour GTT tomorrow because I failed one of the draws on my 3 hour last month. I guess in a way this is a win too because I thought I was going to have to repeat the 3 hour. I know I'll probably be repeating all of the pre-e labs after my next appointment, but I'm trying to just tell myself that right now everything is fine and focus on that!
@bookitboo always makes me lol! meant to comment on the what will you eat after your not pregnant thread when you posted sangria that i love you for reminding me to add that to my list! yum!
Had my 36w check up today. Dr was surprised to see me and said she doubts I will make it to next weeks appt. GBS was negative (whoo hoo), but BP was elevated so now I get to pee in a bucket for the next 24 hrs (boo). She also did a cervical check and I'm dilated to 4cm, 75% effaced, and baby is at -1 station, also my bag of waters is bulging. Makes me a little nervous to sneeze, or cough, or leave the house. Ha ha
My belly button is still an innie and I don't have that dark line that runs vertically on my stomach I make up for it in stretch marks.
My belly button is still an innie, which looks awkward to me. As far as the dark line. ...I have a little, but my belly is covered in hair! I look like sasquatch! (

My stomach has gotten hairier too! I thought about shaving it but that might make it worse.

I've been shaving it. I've only had to shave it twice the whole pregnancy, it grows back pretty slow and I much prefer my belly without the extra hair.

That is so scary! I'm glad baby looks perfect!
My random: I walk around my house in my underwear and a tank top. My neighbors can definitely see me. I'm not skinny to begin with and IDGAF.
