My belly button is still an innie and I don't have that dark line that runs vertically on my stomach :D I make up for it in stretch marks.

My belly button is still an innie, which looks awkward to me.
As far as the dark line. ...I have a little, but my belly is covered in hair! I look like sasquatch!
    :((
My stomach has gotten hairier too! I thought about shaving it but that might make it worse.

I'll admit it, I shaved! I had the same concern about it getting worse but between my VERY noticeable linea nigra and my belly button looking like I've rubbed dirt in it constantly I couldn't handle all the dark hairs too. So far it hasn't come back (I shaved it maybe 3 weeks ago).

Side note: our car seat was delivered today!!! I wasn't expecting it until Thursday! :)

@grumpycat88‌ that's adorable! I attempted to dress my cats up last year on Halloween but they ripped each others costumes off and tore them up...not a fun night

That is so cute! I can't even clip my cat's nails without a major struggle. Last time we did, years ago, it took 5 people and a towel and my mom still walked away with a huge scar on her arm. I don't even want to imagine trying to get an outfit on him.

DD literally squealed when she saw this.  You made my first grader's day!

The key with the nail clipping is starting when they are kittens. He's gotten to the point where I can just pull him on my lap, clip the sharp ones and off he goes. The other cat is more willing to wear the costumes but doesn't look nearly as pathetic about it as the boy cat. :)

My cat is a rescue. I was his sixth owner by the time he was 4 months old. A previous owner tried to clip his nails and cut them too short. He still associates it with severe pain and trauma, 10 years later. He doesn't scratch the furniture, or people, so it's something I've just never cared about.

  • Random side note: clipping a newborns nails while awake = no good.  Clipping them while they sleep= 1000,000x easier.  I'll be doing that next time.

I'm watching some TV right now.. can you believe I've never seen Grey's Anatomy? I'm watching it on Netflix. Season 1. Just a little behind, eh? I like it.
Could have told you this... and then whenever you transition to getting her to nap in the crib? Good luck figuring out when to clip the nails. Carry a spare set in the baby bag for the inevitable naps in the car.

C - just this week - started siting still and letting me clip her nails while awake. And she'll be 15 months on Wednesday.
NO ONE TELLS ME THESE THINGS lol.. but I figured it out.  After I tried while she was awake and I was so afraid to cut her little fingers. She moves all over. Totally worked in her sleep, though (even though it still makes me fearful- that'll get better, right?).

I always clipped DS' nails while I was nursing him. Now I just let our DCP do it (shameful, I know).
  • I did cut one of my boy's fingers once (can't remember which one, bad mommy!) and I was so fucking traumatized that I avoided clipping nails for a long time after.  I felt like a ginormous POS.

So nice of DH to try and help by cutting the pizza that was the only vegetarian thing I cooked for dinner.  Too bad he flipped it right onto the floor.  I ended up with a cold cheese sandwich while they enjoyed pepperoni pizza, sausage and baked beans...

  • I made a pillow fort using 3 pillows. One at the top two king size on each side. Beat sleep on 3months. Who says you need a body pillow!
  • @MusicFanatic‌ enjoy Greys!!! Favorite show- I've probably rewatched the seasons on Netflix at least 5 full times- it doesn't get old!
  • I clip ds nails while he sleeps and I use a headlamp. I started doing that after I clipped his finger a little, because I couldn't see well enough. He naps on a mattress on the floor, but it's getting harder with my big belly to crawl around and give manicures and pedicures to him. I also trim his hair while he sleeps. Usually he has a day where he falls asleep in his high chair every couple of months or so, when he does it's hair cut time!

I officially can no longer trim my toenails do I got a pedicure. The lady doing it is 5 months pregnant and tiny! She was so nice that when I asked for a design she made me a snowman on each big toe which was a huge amount of work for the dollar they charge. I tipped her extra :-)
