Okay, here's a different one. I rarely clean my grill tools. The grill tongs and spatula usually just stay outside and I blow the dust off and use them. It's fine.
Also, I'm eating mashed potatoes and gravy for breakfast.

We are the same way. I think I wash our cast iron skillet and pot more thoroughly than DH but we definitely are lacking on keeping up with the seasoning.
Last week my boobs were super sore and I was all moody so I decided to take a test. BFN. I was so bummed.

It won't hurt the pan to use soap. But not using soap preserves the seasonings of the food you cook. Some people (my mom included) brag about having 100 year old cast iron skillets with 100 years of seasoning. It makes your food taste better! :-)

I feel this way too even though I know general consensus is that stress doesn't cause infertility. I still feel like it does something (maybe bloodflow or hormone related). I'm not taking the unexplained infertility so well so I'd rather think that it's the crazy work stress I've been under.
While I get the desire to blame something, stress does not make a person infertile unless you are so stressed that it is causing other physical issues.
It's not a consensus among the board, it's a medical fact.
Uh, yup, fully aware of that. Which is exactly why my feeling is often a UO here - because science doesn't necessarily back it up. Hence, my FFFC.

I tried bribing my cat to snuggle with my by giving her treats as positive reinforcement. The cat still doesn't give a shit.
This is why I don't like cats (besides being allergic to them). They're so mean! I can't take the constant rejection. (
I know this isn't a confession but the mean cats made me think of my cousin's cat in this picture. She tried to dress him up for Christmas and he literally looked like he was about to murder her! I laughed for an hour I feel like...I'm still laughing at this picture.

I totally get this. Just letting my family know there are some hormones out of whack has stopped all questions and them telling me to "relax and stop thinking about it". Now they are way supportive and best of all-quiet.

@grandiosequestion I knew "general consensus" wasn't the correct phrase. I know it's medical fact, it's just hard to shake the feeling.
Like I said, I get wanting to blame it on something. But trying to blame it on something that you know absolutely isn't the issue really doesn't accomplish much. If anything it may just make you feel worse for continuing to work there, which can raise your stress level again, and just makes life not fun for you.
Unexplained IF doesn't mean there isn't an issue. It means there isn't an obvious issue based on standard tests. Hopefully meds and IUI are enough to overcome whatever the actual issue is.
So is there an actual study that shows there is no link? I've been trying to read up on both sides of it and can't seem to find anything about stress NOT impacting fertility. There's a lot of "it's not clear if it does" and a ton of articles about how it might. Just trying to educate myself on the science of it.
I just searched some databases. The studies vary. Some say low/moderate doesn't. Others say it does. I just read something about alpha-amylase (a digestion enzyme) being released with increased stress levels (along with cortisol), but in a small study, the higher cortisol levels didn't impact fertility, but the higher amylase levels did - decreased the likelihood of conception (per month) by 12%. I didn't read the actual article, but I'm searching for it now. Mainly, it needs to be studied more because it's still just speculation. The article also discussed how these levels could stall a fertilized egg from implanting and something about perfusion.
I read a meta-analysis that spoke to the high rates of personal ancedote's of individuals who relax (go on vacation, "stop trying", etc etc) and who get pregnant during those times but that is highly speculative and there was no scientific data backing it up.

My FFFC is that...my boss is not here today (she has every other Friday off) and work is really slow so I may or may not be starting the Serial podcast, getting addicted and probably not doing much work, if any, today!
Thanks for the cast iron advice! I really want a cast iron pan for Christmas for the sole purpose of making steaks.
FFFC DH decided to save money by having me cut his hair. He bought clippers and got excited and made me do it right away. His hair has officially seen better days and I hope it grows back enough that I can fix it before Christmas. Guess I'll be watching YouTube.
We also usually go out on Fridays. I think tonight will be Steak 'n Shake.
I sometimes love public transportation because I get to people watch. I'm an early morning person. While riding the bus I often wish I could start an instagram compiled of people sleeping/snoring/nodding-for-cock, picking their nose, or kids doing whatever kids do on the bus.
I accidently turned off my alarm this morning and overslept. I was late to signing online for a webinar for work. When I signed in, I told my boss that I had been having internet problems and was resetting my router a million times and was on the phone with Comcast.
