@LimaBeanMOM - I've usually just waited until after the baby was here and we got settled to go get nursing bars for real. In the meantime, I just wore like the sports-bra type nursing bras and they seemed to be a little more forgiving in the size factor. I think it is bizarre that they didn't really measure you though. And that sizing seems odd- I was a 36c pre-pregnancy and I am a 38dd while nursing.

Thank you. I bought one thats like a sports bra for "sleep" -I guess I'll keep that and I already have a 36DD from B that I can use in the begining. Ill exchange the other 3 and get fitted properly after I give birth and nurse for a bit
Nordstrom will convert your regular bras to nursing bras by sewing a nursing clip into the strap. That might be a cheaper way to go.
@colieann31 That is great news. I think its good to wait until you know what you want to do and do a bit of research before going back to school. That makes it even more important to keep working though, so you can pay for school!
Agreed, I would keep working. I know it's hard, but I think the financial independence is a good thing for you, and whether you stay with Alex or not, you guys will be able to move out on your own and provide for your family.
Well with me taking this job I will be making a lot more per month then I am making now. If we were to move out and me continue to work where I'm working now we would be stretching it pretty tight. This new job will give us some breathing room for when we do move out. But with my dads health deteriorating they need our help around here for right now.
@LimaBeanMOM I agree with others. I'd wait until a few weeks PP to get sized. And fwiw, my boobs were bigger during pregnancy than while nursing. After my milk supply regulated I was back in my 36DD bras. While pregnant (last time and this time) I wear a 36G
I haven't even opened the spam thread until today so I haven't read the words, but I felt the need to announce that in honor of a brutal week of PMS (near divorce over a lost key. Not even kidding!) AF arrived this morning and I am in my glory in sweat pants on the couch, bad reality TV on, wine in hand and ice cream in my lap. DH is puttering around every other room in the house avoiding me. Smart man. This is my time, my time, down here.
Also MA moms I am going to the children's Museum tomorrow morning if anyone wants to meet me!
@classictwitch I use Nair for face! Have for several years. Works great!
Whew! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous for you, lol! And good luck tomorrow!
OMG this! I tried Nair on my 'stache when I was like 13 and had a chemical burn mustache for 3 weeks! That was awful and terribly embarrassing! I tried again like 10 years later on my legs because supposedly it had become more gentle and my legs were on fire in pain. It scares me now!
I'm in a funk. I found out that my friend's brother passed away today suddenly. He was only 34 and a community activist. She was really close to him. I can't imagine the pain her family is feeling.
My husband just sent my son to the bathroom to check on me because I've been here so long. I was done peeing 15 minutes ago, now I'm listening to the Psychadelic Furs and reading some NY Times stuff on my phone. While sitting on the toilet. Shhh son, it's Mommy's quiet time. Go get Mommy a glass of wine.
Hi yall. Thanks for the shout outs. Life has been insane topped with Tyler's double ear infection causing him to just flat out not sleep at night. Hopefully I will get some sleep tonight and some free time tomorrow.
@andreamarie77 - glad to hear that your mom is doing better!
The first day when my H left me with both was rough. I would be nursing, and B would be like "this seems like a good time to try to [fill in some crazy activity that would definitely cause bodily harm]". But we got in a groove pretty quickly. You will be great! And you always have us here to help you through those panic attacks
@ColieAnn31 I love Gs stocking! J is BIG into Jake right now. I got him the doll from the disney store and he hugs and kisses him all. day. long. He makes me make the doll march when we watch Jake on tv. J marches and i make Jake march. Lol If i put on Jake and he doesnt have the doll he yells "JAAAY" until i go get him. Lol
Lol G gets so excited when Jake comes on. Like stop what's he's doing and run towards the tv excited. It's pretty darn cute. And he also loves Mickey Mouse clubhouse. He's got a Pretty good hotdog dance haha and he tries to say oh toodles when they say it but it sounds like oh toooo when he says it lol
Can I just say how remarkable all of you are who have dealt with multiple hospital visits, baby surgeries and anything else baby-related in a hospital. I've spent the last two days coming and going from the hospital checking on a kid that isn't mine and I'm in shambles. It is so stressful and scary! I cannot imagine if it was my own kid. Probably not helping the situation, but I'm pregnant and the heart defect that Nixon has is hereditary (we don't know yet who's side it came from) so I may be irrationally scared that this could be me next.
Poor baby K!! I hope it's just croup and nothing too serious. I can't imagine what you're going through right now. Let us know if there is anything you guys need. Sending hugs your way momma!
I hope you get some answers and rest soon, @NaChelleBeck ! These June babies need to keep their little tushies out of the hospital and stop scaring us so much!
@NaChelleBeck - thinking of you and K! I'm glad they know what is wrong now so they can do something about it- but what a scary experience. Lots of hugs to you, momma!!
