I hate surprises, but I'm going team green. We found out with DS and it was nice because he was our first. Now we have everything we need and it's all neutral, not that it would make a difference if it was geared more towards boys or girls, we would use it regardless. I'm happy with a boy or girl and don't need to know to prepare for baby.
I think it's cool when people find out the sex during birth, but that day will probably be full of enough surprises for me. I can't wait to find out if DD is going to have a little brother or sister
My husband already has a daughter and he's dying for a son. He's driving me bonkers. He won't even discuss the possibilities of a girl until he knows it's not a boy. So we are most definitely finding out; I don't think I could handle him being all blue if SURPRISE, It's a girl at birth. Personally, on the other hand, I don't care if it's a boy or a girl as long as it's healthy.
Me: 24; DH: 28 - Married 09.20.2012
Blended Family since 2012.
Surprise of a Lifetime - Baby Butler EDD 07.07.2015
SD is 4. Super excited and wants a Baby Sister!
Daddy is excited but hoping and wishing for a Baby Boy!
I can't wait to find out what Im having, I'm doing the blood work at week 10 but because its twins if I test positive for Y there still a chance one is a girl. Can't wait to start shopping for outfits.
DHs family HATES me and they never have showed excitement with either DD or DS. They don't even show them that they care about them. It's all about the other grandchild who is 6 months younger then my dd and 6 months older the DS.
So we are thinking that if we wait to tell them we are pregnant till fils birthday 3/27 I'll be 23 weeks it might be more exciting for them not having to know so long. Also thinking there will be waiting on their toes waiting to find out if it's a boy or a girl.
I probably have too high of hopes for this and will be disappointed again.
If I had it my way they would never know I was pregnant till the baby is here!
I've always been impatient so I always said I couldn't wait and wouldn't even try, but now that I'm pregnant I like the idea of finding out in the delivery room. What a cool surprise. My husband was talking about not finding out the gender weeks before we knew we were pregnant and I told him he was crazy but now I kind of want to. I'm going to start out with that as my intention but I won't be surprised if I end up caving and finding out. We were always sure we would have boys because my husbands family is all boys and up until now now one has had girls at all but now two of his brothers just had girls last week. Even though it's obviously always been a 50/50 shot of a girl we just never thought it could happen.
I always said if we had another baby we'd be team green... But since it's twins I feel like I need to know. I'm a knitter so I've got projects to plan yo!
DH and I agreed that IF #2 is a boy (we already have DD), and IF we decide to have #3, we can be team green. Haha! DH is the impatient one in our relationship. All our gear and most nb clothes are all gender neutral, so I'm prepared either way.
we're definitely finding out the sex. I can't not know! We'll probably go to a u/s place early around week 15 or 16 again to find out instead of waiting for our anatomy scan. We did that with DS and it was amazing. The anatomy scan was so impersonal as the tech was there pretty much to get the pics she needed. I was glad we had elected to find out sooner.
Team green the first time, team green the second time. Finding out my son was a boy in the delivery room was one of the greatest moments that my husband and I have shared to date. I can't wait to do it all over again!
BFP 1/24/2012 - DS Born 9/22/2012 (11 days early!)
I want to be Team Green. We found out with DD and were Team Green with DS. I preferred not knowing. For me there was something sort of magic about not knowing that whole time.
Team Green here! My husband wasn't on board at first but I have convinced him! I couldnt stand him knowing and me not so its better neither of us know.
I've always been kind of interested in being Team Green, but I think since it's twins we will find out.

I'm an impatient woman. But we have one boy and one girl, so I want to wait until baby is born to find out! We have gender neutral clothes that I'm going to wash up for the first few days. So we are prepared ;;) I freaking hope that the ultrasound tech or dr doesn't slip up though! I would be so mad.
We found out at the anatomy scan with both my girls. But this time, we are mixing it up and going Team Green!

We are going team green. I was on the fence with DS and DH wanted to find out so we did. This time I want the surprise so we're trying it the other way.
I decided not to find out after talking with a mid wife. She gave us lots of reasons but I just think waiting is so much more fun and old fashioned. :-D
We were Team Green with our first two and will be with this one as well. I'm a little tempted to find out because we have both boy and girl clothes, I know we will have to get rid of one set, which would kind of be nice to do before baby, but not going to do it! Team Green is too much fun! We have always asked that our MW not announce and let DH do it. It was so meaningful to hear DH yell, "It's a girl!" "It's a boy!" we wouldn't have it any other way
I'm definitely going to find out! I'm obsessed with planning and there's no way I could wait. I love the idea of finding out in the delivery room, maybe we'll do that for our second or third.
I just don't care and am happy for it to be a surprise. DH is so thrilled with the prospect of ANY baby that we're going team green.
I think we were both so turned off by his brother being very openly convinced that HE COULDN'T MAKE ANYTHING BUT A BOY that we're making an effort to emphasize that we're happy not knowing. It was awful.

That sounds really cool to have DH say it. But just curious, did he announce before you saw? At least with my DD#2, she was born and they instantly put her on my chest, so I would have "seen" she was a she, before he had a chance to announce. Am I missing something?
