What theme did you choose? We went with nautical - I'm a sailor and raced competitively throughout high school and college (small boats, like FJs and JYs and 420s) and we live not far from the water.

What color palette did you pick? Navy blue with white and shades of gray and pops of teal.

What's your favorite part of the nursery decor? I put a lot of effort into the canvases hanging over his changing table, so I really love those, but I also love the curtains my Mom custom made for the room.

I chose Dr Seuss for my Team Green baby

What color palette did you pick? Primary colors.

What's your favorite part of the nursery decor? I still have a few things to add, I just haven't felt like getting out the sewing machine. DD did some Dr Seuss puzzles to hang on the wall, once I glue them they will probably be my favorite.

That's super cute! Are you leaving the bumper on when s/he is a baby, or just there for decor now until baby arrives? We have a cute mesh bumper, but I'm only going to put it on after baby is rolling over on his own for it to be a bit safer.

I guess it depends in how old baby is when we actually move it to the crib. With DD I had to take hers off around a year because she would try to use it as a step to climb out of the crib.

So we aren't doing a full on nursery right away because what will be his room is on a different floor. We turned our office which is off our room into the babies room!

What theme did you choose? The theme is nautical

What color palette did you pick? Lots of navy blue, white and red with dark brown furniture and we got a grey rocker

What's your favorite part of the nursery decor? We don't have it hanging yet but when we were in MA a few weeks ago we went antiquing and we found this awesome vintage wooden ship wheel!

What color palette did you pick? Blues, greys, white. Paint is light blue, I want to get navy and white striped curtains.

What's your favorite part of the nursery decor? It is not actually put together yet except for the paint but the bedding is really cute.

Theme: ABCs

Color palette: Primary colors. We have the same Dr. Seuss bed sheets as @robsbabygirl08, but we won't use Dr. Seuss throughout. Just ABCs in general.

Favorite nursery item: Well, we haven't put everything together yet because we are moving the last week in December, but there is a canvas I want to get that is similar to this.

No theme.

The colors are aqua blue, white and sand (room was already sand with white trim and we're lazy).

I love everything but, my favorite thing is the prints I have to hang above the crib. We still need to hang those, hang some spice racks for books, put the sheets back on, store that shit in the corner and get better lighting.

Very cute ladies! I often get jealous of all the nurseries. We unfortunately rent, so we can't paint, plus the baby will share a room with Owen at some point. ... Maybe in a year or so. Until then, he'll sleep in bed with us, or in his own bed in our room.

I can't wait to buy a home again, so I can do what I want, and be settled.

Went with grey and a cherry red with some white furniture. (most of the furniture is reused from DS; his nursery was blue and orange with wood furniture).

Nothing I LOVE so far. Still need to pick some etsy artwork, so maybe that.

Mix and match blues, gray, and yellow. I need to find some more yellow to put on the walls. I really want to find yellow curtains.

My husband is a mechanic, so we went with a simple automotive/mechanic theme

Bold colors - blue, Green, Red, and walls are grey

My favorite part is everything lol. I got the dresser and changing table off craiglist for less than $40 and repurposed it the way it looks now

Everything in this nursery cost less than $200 (besides the bedding)

What color palette did you pick? Primary colors with a focus on gray and white

What's your favorite part of the nursery decor?

The cross stitch Star Wars patterns I'm doing. I've got one more and then they will be matted and framed above the changing table.

I also included a photo of the Yoda blanket that DH's aunt made us. We still have a few more things to put up and set up.

What color palette did you pick? Greens, pinks, furniture is natural/pine. We rent so no painted walls yet.

What's your favorite part of the nursery decor? We haven't even started to put it together. We have the bassinet in our room. I'm waiting on H to move some furniture around in his office to make room for a small nursery.

I don't really have a theme... I just want it to be calm and peaceful.

I'm going with a white, mint/turquoise, and grey color scheme. We're team green so I'm planning on buying a bit more decor after the baby is born, just a few splashes of a bright color.

I just love how soft and light it is. We have a teeny tiny room so I didn't want it to be too dark.

I'm planning on recovering the glider with a white/grey pattern, making a few crib sheets and changing pad covers with brighter fun patterns (the road to the nearest city with a fabric store is too icy to drive so I'm waiting for conditions to improve!). My mom is also making a stained glass lamp for the dresser, can't wait for that!

I was thinking about it actually but got nervous about the different types of fabric. I'm pretty new to sewing and have only done a few projects (it's still a little over whelming). I'll definitely take a look at that website though!! Thanks so much for the suggestion

What nursery? LOL! We bought a soft gray paint color but we haven't even painted our baby's room yet. Thank goodness I'm due at the end of January because we have a lot of work to do!

(We're not quiet done decorating yet... and are waiting on the rocker to come in.)

What theme did you choose? I wouldn't say there's a theme, but I'm slowly starting to notice more and more sports-themed items appearing in his room.

What color palette did you pick? Navy blue, gray, and whites.

What's your favorite part of the nursery decor? Eh, I don't really have a favorite yet - I'm loving all the pieces and how it's slowly coming together. We will be adding a lot of DH's childhood sports items (baseballs, locker, etc.) to the room, so I'm sure that'll be my favorite since they have meaning behind them.

What color palette did you pick? Light blue and yellow and gray, with our furniture and couch kind of distressed brown

What's your favorite part of the nursery decor? The super cute wooden letters I got on Etsy.

Not asked, but my least favorite part in putting the nursery together was the wall decal. That shit took DH and I 2 hours.

We went with a fresh water fishing theme with blues and teals. This is what we have so far. Crib sheet has anchors on it. The furniture is mix matched (collected as we have been going along). I plan on putting baby's initials in the netting. There's a glider and matching night stand not pictured.

From what ive seen everyones nurserys are beautiful. I wish i could do mine the same but we are renting a brand new home and the landlord/owners arent alowing us to pit anything on the walls. They are strictly only letting us use scotch bright wall aadhesives which dont hang photo frames or canvases very well and not to mention are so OTT in price. I would Loove to do a mural on my baby girls wall or even wall stickers are soo cute and so awesome. Im such a creative bug this white wall house makes me sad sometimes. Rant over just thought if i wrote a little piece about it my mind would be partially put to rest for all the brilliant things i had in mind for my baby girls room. Oh well next home (:

We went with a vintage airplane theme.

We have multiple colors but mainly grayish blue, gray, orange, (furniture is dark chocolate).

Does it count if I PIP my pinterest board? We won't decorate the nursery until baby is 3 or 4 months old. We'll need the room for guests before then.

What theme did you choose? I think I'll go with Elephants, but perhaps hot air balloons

The crib we bought looks the same as the pictured one, but has a wood colored base. We'll paint it gray like the pic. That balloon mobile is my favorite! I will definitely try to make one if I go the hot air balloon direction.

Theme: lion king. It's what we had for dd (team green with her) and I see no need to go buy more crib stuff... Plus both the rooms are painted pale green.

Color palate: pale green, yellow, beige/tan, splash of orange...

Favorite part: the comfy glider I have for this one!

@mom2case where did you see that mobile? I'm going for an airplane theme and was hoping to find a cute mobile with clouds so I can add my own planes.

@ellbellbr It was on etsy. Clouds aren't hard to sew though, if you know how to sew. If you type "hot air balloon mobile" on etsy, you'll see a lot of options. Some have black stitching around the clouds so you can see how easy it would be to make some yourself.

What theme did you choose? We're doing an understated Harry Potter theme

What color palette did you pick? Red, yellow n dark browns

Our upstairs is all real wood, the walls the ceiling, just all wood lol (except we put in carpet) so we went with a dark brown crib, changer, glider n armoire (no closet and dresser built into the wall) have a few HP blankets, red curtains, red crib sheets and sham, yellow mesh bumper (if he needs it, for now it's for decoration) floating brooms, wands, lots of owls... it's cute, wish i could upload pictures..

What's your favorite part of the nursery decor? Definitely the mobile, my friend made a few felt HP pieces like the goblet of fire, the sorting hat, a snitch and these electric candles that dangle as well and u just click 'on' n it's like a floating night light, its great.

We have a tiny room that we're trying to make work as a guest room and nursery. I think we made the most of the space though even though it's a tad crowded! We also wanted to use colors and things that the baby could grow into even in his teenage years.

Every piece of furniture we picked off the curb that someone was throwing out except for the daybed. Yeah, we're thrifty like that. Sanitized and painted. Glider fabric reupholstered was only 10 bucks. Super proud momma over here! More photos on my blog.

Finally just about finished! Just one small piece of furniture and artwork to acquire. Was going for classic/preppy.

All the furniture was used in my daughters nursery, the dresser/changing table is his great-great grandparents' dresser.

I'm in love!
