@jennypm - That would enrage me, too! I do payroll as part of my job, and I really don't see why they couldn't cut him an off cycle check to correct their mistake. Lame.
@WAMOM I've been having the same fears... they're worse after a horrible dream I had the other night... somehow I was magically pregnant with 5 little ones, and I went into preterm labor and... yeah... it kept going from bad to worse... not good.
My random - I'm fighting back going off on one of my employees today. Months worth of excuses, mistakes, passive aggressive behavior, etc have built up to a boiling point. Being a supervisor when you're very anti-confrontational is a pain.
@jennypm that really sucks that they keep doing that to him. I hope they get their shit together soon.
@rquinlin and @Darbie914 I was just thinking the same thing when I got dressed this morning. But I don't really want to buy a whole lot more at this point, I only have 3 months left.
OMG! I am already getting sooooooo bored of my maternity clothes! The slacks and jeans are fine, how many pairs do you really need? But the shirts! Gah! I had to get more nice winter clothes this time, because DD was a summer baby and I didn't have much. I didn't anticipate my needs very well, either. Usually I just wear junky stuff I can do ranch work in, but now that DD is in school I'm spending more time dressing business casual to volunteer, go to PTA meetings, etc. I wish I had figured this out yesterday for cyber Monday. Oh, well. Guess I'll go online and look for some stuff. Where are you guys finding cute maternity tops? Everything I see is so boring.
I went to destination maternity and got a bunch of stuff on clearance. They were having 30% off red line stuff. Apparently it wasn't just a black friday thing, so maybe you can check that out.
I am so tired this morning. I had Boston Market for dinner last night. H bought me an apple pie too because, pie. I want to eat ALL the pie!
@jennypm I would be livid. I'm kind of dealing with a payroll issue with H as well, but he works for family and gets paid from a personal account. It's extremely stressful, especially with bills due.
@RQuinlin check out pinkblush maternity. They have so many cute things for good prices (same prices as I've found at target)
No real random for me today other than I'm watching Tom and Jerry with the two year old I babysit for and she's dying laughing. I wish these shows were on more rather than stuff like the regular show and annoying orange..
Yeah I'll ditto the "Maternity fashion is BS" sentiment. If it's not stripes, it's boring basics. I am also starting to worry that my stomach will outgrow all my maternity stuff. I already can't wear one top anymore. Jeeze.
Sorry for everyone dealing with payroll issues, that is extremely frustrating. I work as a server so I bring cash home everyday so I can't say that I necessarily relate. I am also on the over maternity clothes boat, so frustrating to wake up and not know what to wear.
AFM I've been MIA lately, we closed on our house the day before Thanksgiving, and now we are in the middle of remodeling the bathroom and painting bedrooms before we move in. I'm exhausted and so ready to be done, but sadly it'll probably be another 2 weeks before we are all settled in. I think what I'm most upset about is not being able to decorate for Christmas, I feel like my dd is missing out on some of the spirit this year.
I cant find any maternity clothes that i like eather. So i just go for my regular junior size shirts but always get them bigger. Also saves alot of.money. On the other hand went to Hardees at 8am because i was craving onion rings, the manager made them make them for me because of how.i am pregnant...have to love beening pregnant.lol :x

I got the best jeans ever (if you're short, anyway) from there. They are dark denim and look fabulous, and the best part is I don't step on them in the back at all. I've never had pants that fit so well. I also got a couple of plain 3/4 length shirts from there. I'm really bored with my clothes.
I recently discovered fleece lined leggings and they are amazing. It's like wearing pajamas all day. I got some cheap ones from Meijer and while they aren't maternity leggings, they have a wide band and fit comfortably over my bump.
My random: my mom drives me crazy. I don't know who taught that woman to text, but it was a horrible idea. She is so driven by her anxiety and is always trying to inject her negativity into my world. She has been worse than ever usual and it's stirring up all sorts of resentment and anger in me, to the point that I get irrationally angry at every little thing she does.
She sent three texts this morning reminding me to be careful on the roads, to have DH sprinkle salt on the steps, and to take care walking in the parking lot at work...it just filled me with rage. An overreaction? Maybe. But I am just really angry at her right now.

Old Navy was a good starting point for me, they have a lot of different styles and colors. I would also recommend getting one of their black jersey cotton dresses. I wear mine over tights or leggings now that it's cold and with a different scarf/cardigans/shoes/boots I don't feel like I'm wearing the same thing over and over again. Also, get some flowy open cardigans - you can wear them next fall/winter too and they will freshen up your existing maternity tops - I got a bunch at Forever 21 because they cost like $9.80 a piece; Kohls had cute ones too!
@lawsonellis How are you doing today? I just caught up on yesterday's randoms. Thinking of you!
We made it home around midnight Sunday night. I am so exhausted. But we got to stop at ikea on the way home, and we got a new bed and dresser for us. Owen will get one of our dressers, and then the changing table/dresser will move into Sam's room so I can start unpacking baby clothes! So excited!
I wasn't looking forward to the trip too much, but it was nice. Even the 8hr each way car ride. It was nice to have the time with DH to chat and listen to music. I had been feeling a little disconnected, and I think that the time really helped us recconnect.
I need to finish organizing my house before I loose all motivation to do such.. I see that light coming closer and closer each day especially now since I get winded doing the littlest of things.. All I have left is the office and part of the kitchen!
For anyone who feels like their maternity clothes are blah, check out Pink blush maternity. I'm obsessed. The shirts are so soft and they have sales often. Lots of cute tunics, blouses and sweaters. I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them so I still feel cute. They have plus size as well.
I'm headed to my last nursing lecture of the semester. It's finals week and I'm ready for this semester to be over!
@jennypm I would be PISSED. I'd be *that* caller that I got to deal with when I worked in a call center for insurance :P
@MrsLaurenandDan thank you for the thoughts! (And everyone else too!)
My update is that I am in doctor drama hell. So specialist office called and said the earliest they could see me is dec 10 and their policy is once I see a physician at The specialist group, I have to stay with them unless my OB says I need to be switched in order to be seen sooner. SO I called OB office and the nurse said she told the OB and she's waiting to see if he thinks I should be ok to wait til dec 10th or if I should be seen sooner. If I *do* wait, I'll have to be on bed rest til then but can work from home (supposedly). But I'm burning through vacay days like it's candy currently and come time for maternity leave I'll have none left, so I won't get paid at all. I had hoarded like 18 days or something and I'm down to half that.
Speaking of maternity clothes, does anyone have any good experience with maternity camis? My shirts are all becoming boob shirts since my boobs decided to triple in size one week and I would like to cover up the cleavage with layering a cami but I don't know where to get some good deals or what works well and what doesn't.... TIA!
I just bought a maternity Cami from Old Navy for like 7 bucks. The reviews said it isn't low cut, which is a huge plus for me because I look like a hooker in anything but high cut shirts.
@lawsonellis I am also sorry you've been burning through your time off earlier than expected. Do you get new time after the new year you could use?
Thanks for the thoughts!
I accrue 1.5 days monthly, and I can "borrow" up to 3 days in advance. So, if she waits til march (which all signs point to feb, actually) then I could use 7.5 days max if I end up with no rollover.
Hopefully my company will let me work from home and save the remaining days that I have.
If it does come down to bed rest til she comes, that's about 3 months and then maternity leave is 3 months so I could *maybe* get away with long term disability? Gonna check on that.

I got these from Gap. https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=72485&vid=1&pid=749650012 They are comfy and fitted and smooth so you can wear them under things and not get too bunchy. Not sure if you have run into the problem of being able to see the black/navy stretchy belly area on dark pants and jeans through your shirt but wearing a white tank helps with that too!
@Darbie914 and @chilibeansm0m I feel the same way. I know that in the
end everything will be alright, but sometimes I feel like DD will feel
slighted. This is one of my biggest concerns about bringing home a new
baby.
Also in CA here. It started raining overnight and is supposed to rain consistently for the next 24 hours plus. I'm so glad because we need the rain, but it drives me crazy that people refuse to drive with caution. I had some idiot or other tailgating me the whole way to work. I'm just glad I get to leave early for my OB appointment and will at least avoid the nightmare of the evening commute.
I too am bored with my maternity shirts. I had to convince my mom to not get me more tops for Christmas though. It's only another 3 months and I would rather her not spend $ on something I don't plan to wear again. I've got a little rotation going on and it works. We hope to have more kids, but I seriously would not want to get pregnant again at the size I was/am!
I don't have a whole lot to contribute today. It's my first day back after 6 days off and it's a crazy, busy, 13 hour day. Blah.
My DD woke up this morning and I turned on the Christmas tree to surprise her with it. She loved it. As soon as I got out of the shower, she brought me one of the ornaments (which DH said was fine to put lower cause it was aluminum). I went to grab it and it went out of my hand and fell all over the ground and shattered. Aluminum my ass, DH. So I am about to go on my lunch break and buy some unbreakable ornaments that we can put on the bottom.
Also, put me in the boat for bored with my maternity clothes.
Well, on the opposite side of everyone getting tired of their maternity clothes, im finally starting to need mine and my boss approved me to start wearing maternity clothes tmrw instead of our work polos. Woohoo!!
I just bought a bunch of maternity shirts that were $6 each, and used promocode ONSAVENOW for another 25% off. Between you guys and my Nov '12 group, I figure I've spent about $300 on random sales this week. At least my Christmas shopping is almost done.
Uhh is it bad I haven't got off the couch yet?!? I did register for my childbirth classes I wanted to take, that counts as doing something right? SO told me I could wait to go grocery shopping with him because grocery shopping is so hard for me pregnant!
@lawsonellis FX that they can get you in sooner, so you don't have to burn those vacation days and stay on BR any longer than possible.
All my maternity pants are starting to get really snug in the waist. I've only gained 10 pounds, and I thought my pre-pregnancy size would get me through. Ahahahaha!
So I just placed an Old Navy order for some stretchy lounge pants to get me through the next couple of weeks, until I'm off of my restricted activity and can go try on clothes myself!
This week is going to be like, my Christmas. Besides my ON order, I'm expecting the following deliveries:
Amazon x3 (Halo Bassinest, bed rails for crib conversion to full-size bed, crib mattress)
@tacocatmom I got the Brightwater Drive Adaira bag. 70% off!
@etoille I odered the butterbear, sex bomb, phoenix rising and northern lights bombs. Of those, sex bomb is the only one I've tried previously. I also got the bubble gum lip scrub.
@Darbie914, I just went to the Old Navy site and searched for the cheapest maternity shirts I could find. I think I clicked on the SALE link. Then when I was checking out, there was a box to enter a promo code, so I googled it and found one that worked. I got a couple of tanks and a couple of long sleeve fitted shirts.
ETA: oh, duh. I forgot to mention it was Old Navy in my original post. Sorry, I'm dumb.
Here's another random: This baby is making me stupid as shit.
Last week, I ruined a block of cheese because I put it away in the silverware drawer. Today, I decided I wanted to take ice cream for lunch and got out a pyrex container and the ice cream scoop before realizing it would melt before lunchtime.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who has pregnancy induced idiocy.
Since we're having a girl, all the nice neat bins of my sons clothes will now be donated (newborn-12mo). So I posted something on FB first to see if anyone I knew needed stuff before they went to Salvation Army and I had more responses than anticipated. Now I'm torn between who I give what to.
I'm also feeling somewhat guilty because my sons toy pile is out of control so I'm getting rid of everything except for a couple things for his baby sister. I can't handle the clutter, thank goodness he's too little to understand that his toys are gone. Oh he's keeping stuff that's more age appropriate like his hot wheels and building blocks.

Reading through the entire thread because conference call. Here are my notes.
@jennypm Ugh about payroll. My company messed up my paycheck once and it felt like the end of the world. I can't imagine 3 periods in a row. Hope they get it fixed!
@RQuinlin I'm bored with all my mat clothes, too. I barely have any and haven't bought A SINGLE NEW TOP with this baby. I bought a couple new pairs of jeans because the 1 pair I had was too big this time. I'm pretty lame, but Target has fairly cheap, relatively cute maternity clothes. I always look at Old Navy but never like anything. I just hate to buy more at this point.
@etoille I'm in the same guilt boat with Haden. It just won't be possible to give him the attention he gets now. I'm irrationally worried about it. But I know it'll all work out. Eventually he won't even want my time. He'll be outside playing with his brother and I'll be inside sipping my Magner's. Then life will be good.
@lawsonellis I'm so sorry things aren't going well. Hugs to you.
I have numerous randoms but the biggest is I think DH and I finally settled on a name. We're going with Hunter Harold so I know we'll take some heat for all the Hs but I'm ready. Harold is a family name so that was non-negotiable. So we'll have Haden & Hunter. Personally, I'm overcome by the cute.
Oh, also the #1 thing on my to-do list for tomorrow when I'm back in the office and have good internet is to order more fold-down yoga pants. That's all I wore after my CS with Haden and somehow I only have 1 pair I can find. Anybody have any faves?
These! Omg I love them! They're so comfy and soft.
