Saw my doc today and 4cm dilated. Already?

I woke up at 9 with some watery discharge , just a little though. I thought my water might just broke or something, I had no idea. I called the nurse and she couldn't tell for sure. So she told me to come in at 2pm. I saw my doc and she said my water did not break then checked my cervix. Woh! She said I was 4 cm dilated. Really? I'm a tiny FTM though, didn't expect that. She said I might have an easy birth. Now I have no contraction or anything just Braxton Higgs. Baby can come any time now. I might stay at 4cm until my due date the 19th or baby might come tomorrow. Hope for the best. Good luck to you all.

No mater what size you are, I seriously thought we have to go through some pain or intense contraction to get to 4cm for FTM. For me it's a surprise cause I didn't feel any of those yet... Just yet. But I know what's going to come

Not gonna lie I didn't realize you could be a whole 4 centimeters dilated and not be in labor. That seems like a LOT. I thought 1-2 ok, but thinking about a gaping hole like that being there a couple weeks is a little weird. Maybe I'm completely confused about this dilation thing. Crap I need to go finish that book...
Please don't make me walk around crowning for days. Ha.

Feels like at this point OP is just love titting everything and providing vague responses.

At which point.. OP please go talk to your doctor. They know more of your medical history than we do...which would be helpful since every mom is different.

I do not. I understand why people love it, I just can't get into it myself. So salty, so greasy, so messy to cook. Bleh. MH thinks it's tragic because he, like most, would have ALL the bacon.

Tell me that's not excessive) but if I make it this way he'll still be getting his bacon fix AND I'll feel like I'm keeping him at least a little healthier

I cook it this way also. Best discovery ever! I put the bacon grease on my dogs food. They love it and it keeps their coats so soft and shiny. One of them is a huge brat though, and if I do it too often he won't eat without the grease.
