What is it going to take to help this board find a pulse again?

Two cents: Contribute to the threads you can/want to. If you find the current threads boring, post something you find interesting/discussion-worthy.

I think most of us should be able to carry on conversations without mudslinging, concern over bans, and boo-hoos over who is/isn't still around.

No, it was the assumption that the previous regs had that TB wanted to flush them out to make way for "conservative" SAH'ers. In reality it looks like they are ramping up sign ups through their new app and need a friendlier peeps (and less full throttle bitching about fruit snacks) on all boards to gain clicks to generate more revenue. If the regs constantly drive off the newbs (aka clicks) drive off the regs to wipe a new slate to make it more general public friendly. The regs felt they had more clout than they actually had and more pull with the entity and thus came up with the conspiracy theory to make them "right" Really it doesn't take a marketing guru to see what is going on across the boards with the new TOU.

Not really.. You're using the most bitchy words you can find. Basically you're acting like an ass about who you perceive is filling the board.

Please find one "bitchy" word I used. Conservative leaning? Is that bitchy? Come on. I don't know who you think you are, but you are exactly the type of personality that drives people away.

ETA: Who do I think is filing the board? How am I acting like an ass about them? I didn't insult one single poster, I just said, what several others said, that it's boring here. Calm down.
If you can't figure out what part of your post was offensive to those who are not conservative, don't do meal plans and don't own, nor care for table cloths then maybe you need a self evaluation. On that note Encchanted, If you are part of rebuilding a community here, you could post here a bit more often.
My thoughts in this post are real, not just a dig. Get rid of some of the Stepford Wives feeling of this board and you might be able to bring it back to life.

Here I am going to wade into this.....

I am educated- masters level... worked and supported myself for years before I met my husband, worked after marriage, was a SAHW before being a SAHM ( this was more of because of IF treatments and then a high risk pregnancy). I was involved in politics and walked in protests- so I am pretty sure I have a brain of my own, and do not walk in the shadow of my husband....

that being said....

I have been on The Bump from the beginning of The Bump- before I was on the nest and before that on the knot. I have seen boards implode and then rebuild.... It takes time.

I also believe that if you want more current events--- then how about you post that.

Totally agree!!! It was hitting such a point before the big house cleaning happened that some were just pushing it past a line. I've got friends IRL that I met on TK that are on the FAR FAR opposite side of the political spectrum as I - however we knew we could have fun in a debate for debate's sake without turning it into a personal debate but one of ideas. There wasn't that line anymore. It takes a while to develop a new "identity" when it's a large group of internet strangers. Things need to calm down to the point that the nature of time will do its thing and everyone forgets about the house cleaning and an identity will develop from there...
