Why the fuck is this still happening. We need new material.
Then quit feeding this thread. Trust me, I'm wayyyy more bored than any of you. I can do this all day.
Is there is reason why you feel the need to quote me and "attempt" to start with me? I did not quote you, tag you, or direct my very generalized comment at you. I did not read through the last 2 pages of comments that occurred since I last saw this thread, however I'm going to venture to guess that you commented something either super dumb, super bitchy, or super lame, causing you to be involved in an Internet argument with an entire group of people and dragging this post back up. You can do this all day? Sounds fulfilling.

I'm on mobile and mistakenly associated your post with someone else. I had the wrong person. My deepest and sincerely apologies. Carry on.
I felt my baby at 13 weeks also... I have been pregnant 4 times and I know what it feels like so congrats your baby is moving like crazy and you can feel it!

You read a lot into my posts..... Next time I'll use better sarcasm font....
Go ahead, reply. You know you wanna!
These type of comments are why you made my post-it. They are condescending and antagonistic. I have no problem with you asking for facts to back things up, or for calling things out for what they are, but the way in which you did it was wrong. Bored or not, sick or not, it's straight up obnoxious.
Okay, since this post has already reached silly status, I have a pressing question. When I first joined this board, I thought people were kind of harsh and posted passive-aggressively twice about my opinion. Then I read about how repetitive posts are annoying because they cover up important posts, such as posts about loss -- that made a lot of sense. I felt bad about calling people out. Still do. But this leads to my question: If the primary concern is to not spam up the board, then why post replies over and over again? Why not just dryly say "Already been posted -- use search function.", then drop it like it's hot? (Also, I realize the irony in posting this question. Hoping to get an answer, then watch the thread shrivel away and die.)

I totally get what you're saying and if everyone was on board with the policy, then saying it once per thread would probably work. However, as you've probably noticed, there are a number of users who feel that everyone should be able to make an individual thread for each and every question. The "rules" response would get drowned out by the other responses, actually answering the question and encouraging the behavior, and the "rules" response would be dismissed. Sort of like if you were speeding and the only thing that ever happened was that a sign popped up that said "The speed limit is 45 - slow down" but a bunch of other cars on the road were also going 65, you're not going to slow down. That's human nature.
As you pointed out, you didn't come to agree with the "no multiple posting" line of thinking until you read an argument about why it was actually harmful to the community as a whole. I think the best we can hope for is that enough people will get with the program in the second and third trimester that this becomes less of an issue.
To answer the OP's question...I have seen these threads a few times and honestly, I "try" to feel something, anything, happening in my belly to make me feel reassured, and I get nothing but some hunger pain sounds and notice that I should have skipped pants with buttons...I don't even feel gas in my stomach. I don't have a clue what you are all feeling and I understand that every pregnancy can be different but as a FTM, I have 2 baby books by my bed and two pregnancy apps on my phone..."What to Expect and The Bump...the science behind all of them say no, you can't feel anything yet. Regardless of what other people tell you, science is science. If you want to chalk it up to all the "experts" in these books and content teams on the apps as being wrong and those on these forums as being mean because not everyone is reassuring you, then fine, but expect a lot of eye rolling and snarky comments. If you believe what you are feeling is your baby, then fine, roll with it...but stop looking for reassurance on this forum because people are sympathetic to concerns and loss, but other than that, it's pretty fact-based here.
Well your name fits SensitiveSally. There are medical reports claiming that it is possible in later pregnancies to feel small movements earlier than new Moms. It may be gas but maybe it is the baby. If it makes you happy then who cares what Negative Nancy and Sensitive Sally says.. That's what I think..
When you feel elbows and feet and bums pushed up so hard you can visually see your baby from the outside... that's fetal movement. When you can't sleep because your baby won't stop moving or when you feel the baby has hick ups for the 5th night in a row and you get 0 sleep.... that's fetal movement. It's going to happen at all different times for us... and later for first time mommies. Relax... be patient.... enjoy every step of your pregnancy. And please do a board search to see if these have already been discussed already. It would be awesome to see the board without a million posts.
Re: when should you start feeling the baby move

Given that "interesting" is subjective, your request is not possible to fulfill. That's not how science works ;-)
I give you an A for sarcasm & snark though. Heh. It was witty.
But at least we're all in the all in the same boat... #firsttrimesterproblems
