Welcome to the Been There, Done That Check-in!!! Check-ins will be every Tuesday. Your check-in leaders are @Carol77B and @Justone13.

This is check-in is for anyone who is past their 2nd IVF cycle (including any FETs) or if you have suffered multiple losses. If you haven’t made it to your ER but have done two cycles this place would be great for you!! After multiple failed cycles we aren’t as chipper and full of sunshine like we were during our first cycle. This group is intended to give us a safe place where we can vent, update, obtain info and bond with other veteran IVFers. If you are currently cycling or waiting on a cycle this group would be a great place for you! You are more than welcome to join the monthly group if you are currently cycling and if you are hanging onto a dream feel free to stay with that group also and can always post here too! Any questions or concerns just ask!!

@Buttmonkey34‌ that sucks AF hasn't showed!

We're still trying the old fashioned way, you know with sex and no doctors in the room. I'm not even sure if my body is cooperating. I haven't gotten a true positive OPK and my temps are highish but not as high as usual post O temps for me. Dr KK says my blood work looked good and OKed us to try on our own with pred, lovenox and prometrium. I'm already on pred but I'll throw in the prometrium and lovenox next cycle. If this ish doesn't work by February we'll go for IVF #3.

I LOVE target. I would go there everyday if I was rich.

Nothing new going on in O2 world. Just a bunch of little trips to keep me busy until I start Lupron again in January.

QOTD: I hate shopping. I don't know what it is but I hate it. Maybe it's because I'm super indecisive or because I hate crowds? I don't know.... I'm sticking to Internet shopping for the holidays this year.

Hi ladies,

@RunCC37 I am just so excited about your BFP, wanted to post about it again here! Woo hoo!

AFM: It is complicated. IUI was a bust. I had quite a bit of dark bleeding last Tuesday-Thursday so my RE nurse asked me to come in for the suppression check for a fresh IVF cycle. We did it on Friday, and there was a big cyst on the left (19mm) and only three micro-follicles. Cyst shocked me because I used ovidrel last cycle for the IUI and only had one 18mm follicle to release. I guess it turned into a cyst.

The thing is I have been having IVIgs for the past two months and been on prednisone as well to get ready for this IVF cycle, and did not want to wait until January. I made a scene at RE's office against cancellation outright. The nurse spoke to the RE and RE said that it is not the ideal circumstances but we will continue with the fresh cycle. And then, I had my bright red AF on Saturday so I am hoping that the cyst is not a functional cyst and getting smaller already.

So, I am on stims again. Woo hoo! Started on microdose lupron on Saturday and Follistim+Menopur on Monday. Will start on levonox once my AF is over. Next u/s, b/w is on Wednesday and then again on Friday, and hopefully on Friday I'll have more microfollicles and not a bigger cyst that is absorbing all the medication. Please wish me luck!

QOTD: My DH and I do not participate in Black Friday action at all. We try to spend a peaceful day at home after Thanksgiving and eat the left-overs

missmarypoppins good luck with the low tech attempt(s)! Target is one of my favorite stores, too! I will definitely visit it on Friday.

O2girl I think doing a bunch of fun trips is a great way to pass the time until you cycle again. I'm so sorry about the Lupron; I hope it goes easier this time.

AFM: I'm in the 2WW for my IUI on Friday and beta is on 12/5. I'm trying very hard to be optimistic, but we had a very disappointing drop in DH's SA- it was down to 8 mil and just 3 mil post wash (in June it was as high as 46 mil and in Oct it was 32 mil) but we did TI on the evening of the trigger shot and again the night of the IUI, so hopefully we had enough to work with. We probably only had one follicle in play, but my RE was hoping two smaller ones might join the party at the last minute. The timing is a lot weirder with this than an IVF, and I'm having trouble figuring out when implantation, etc. might occur, so I'm probably going to way until right before beta to POAS. We having a drinking-heavy Christmas party to attend on 12/6, so if it is a BFN, I'm going to drink my heart out!!!

QOTW: Sephora used to be my favorite store, but after reading ISWTE, I'm trying to avoid parabens, Phythalates, perfumes, etc. so it's not as much fun to shop there anymore (I have bought Alterna and Tarte, which both claim to not contain those chemicals). I also love a good thrift store!

9dp5dt and I got a positive on a digital this morning. DH and I are cautiously optimistic. Beta is still 6 days away on Monday which will be 15dp5dt. I called today because I take my last Vivelle patch on Thursday, they wouldn't move up my beta or check my estrogen levels so I had to order another box. I hate the little patches with their sticky residue.

QOTW: I hate Black Friday shopping, crowds and I don't mix well. DH loves it, he'll be hitting up Target and Best Buy for sure (he's buying a new gaming system for his Christmas present)

Hi everyone! Happy Turkey Week!

I am *supposed* to order my meds today, but am dragging my feet big time. I am having doubts/second thoughts/anxiety about this IVF cycle. I know it is all fear based that it will fail again. We made a decision when I was rational so I know I will stick with it ultimately, but for the next hour I am going to be a whiny baby mess about it. Then I will put on my big girl panties and let go of the fear long enough to pick up the phone and place the order.

Tomorrow I start the Minivelle patch and Thursday I start 3 days of Ganirelex (EPP).

QOTD: No Black Friday shopping for me. There is nothing I want bad enough, or no savings big enough, for me to deal with all that. One time a few years ago I stupidly went to WalMart for a digital camera, saw the line in the electronics dept, and promptly turned around and went home. That was the beginning and the end of my involvement with BF.

Oh, wow! Congrats @blueeyes233!!!! FX for a very strong beta; I'm sorry they wouldn't move it up. My clinic is pretty strict about when they do betas (16dper) and I've had to wait 19 days before (because they won't do them on weekends or holidays).

zeynsom good luck! I'm sorry that your body is acting all complicated, but I'm very glad your RE listened to you and you are moving forward with your IVF cycle. FX that there's no further complications! Is this going to be IVF 2.1 for you? I want to update you in our team roster.

IfMamaAintHappy I'm sorry you are feeling like that. I completely understand and you are definitely allowed to feel anxious after a failed IVF. I hope you start feeling better about it, soon.

@Carol77B My original IVF 2.1 is cancelled in August because of the same situation: a cyst and only two microfollicles. So, I guess this counts as IVF 2.2.

Well met with my RE yesterday to determine the new protocol, along with a very long list of questions. I was originally seeking a second opinion tomorrow, but I just don't have a good feeling about switching right now. It's like a damned if I do, damned if I don't situation.
So I am on BCPs for IVF #3. At least we qualify for assisted hatching this cycle...so maybe.

AFM: As type I'm stirring/making homemade cranberries. I hate making these things but they are freaking good! I've been trucking along on my Del Estrogen ... waiting for my check on the 30th. I have been going for acupuncture the past week and really enjoy it. Not so much action in my life now.

QOTD: I am not a store shopper on black friday but I can get down with the online shopping seriously! I ran into Target this morning and they had some of their stuff already knocked down for black friday SO I took advantage of that! lol

Hi Ladies!
I am trucking along in this horribly slow 2ww, I am 7dp5dt today, beta on Friday, going beta or bust due to the holiday and work.

QOTD: I usually end up having to work on black Friday so don't go out (I refuse to get up at 4am to go shopping before work). Often DH and I will go in the evening on black Friday and the stores are not crowded and most of the deals are still there.

@fizzachaudhary I'm really sorry you have to worry about the thyroid cyst. I had one (it actually looked a little like I had an Adam's Apple) early twenties and it was benign, so I'm very hopeful yours will turn out to be nothing.

Hi ladies. I hope you don't mind me chiming in here. I've been lurking trying to decide if I want to join the group after my failed FET #2 this month... But I just wanted to respond to @fizzachaudhary. So sorry you are having to deal with that! I know how scary it is not knowing. I won't lie -- the FNA is not fun. I was one of the unlucky ones and had thyroid cancer (almost 6 years cancer free), but I remember from my research and what the doctors told me at the time that the vast, vast majority of nodules are benign, so try not to worry too much. I know, easier said than done. :-) I hope the results come back good for you! But the worst case scenario, scary as it is, is manageable. Take care!!

@fizzachaudhary I hope that the nodule is benign and you do not have significant immune issues so you can move forward with your cycle.

Update on me: just had the u/s and b/w after only two days of stimming. I am a slow responder and DOR and was not expecting much out of this morning's app but I am quite happy because 1) my 19mm cyst is now down to 16x8 and blurry which the technician said is a good sign that it is disappearing, 2) I had only three microfollicles last Friday during my baseline and now I have 1 follicle less than 10mm and five more microfollicles. Woo hoo! I hope that most of those microfollicles grow. Next u/s is Friday.

We got beta #2 back today at 709 (15dpo/10dp5dt). That's up from 367 two days ago (13dpo/8dp5dt). We are over the moon! I'm doing an extra beta on Friday for Dr. KK's office, and the next one after that on Monday with my RE. My first ultrasound should be December 8th.

I am a bit concerned about my Sjogren's/RA symptoms which are flaring right now. My most recent blood work came back with the same strong positive ANA (>1:1280) and elevated NK cells... I don't know what else to do besides what we are already doing. So I'll just breathe into it and let it go. Trust that we'll be ok.

Aside from that, I truly am enjoying every second of this! I am so, deeply thankful for so much right now... our Ninjas, my DH, you girls & the outstanding support in my groups, our large team of doctors and nurses, our donor, even my busted ovaries! Every painful second of this journey is worthy it, and I wouldn't change a thing. It brought us right here, right now, which is exactly where we should be

On another note... I don't really know what to do about posting on this thread... I feel like this is it, and I will officially go to lurker status... I will be rooting for you all

We aren't going anywhere particularly exciting. We are headed to a river tomorrow to camp for thanksgiving. Then H and I go to the mountains every Christmas for the holiday and ski. After that, we get home and the next day we head to the beach for New Years to camp with my cousin. My H wanted to go home to Switzerland, and he is pushing for it before we transfer again........ So maybe that will be our big trip for next year? I just want to go ski......

All of those trips sound lovely to me. Skiing in Switzerland sounds simply divine!! Please go do that before your next cycle - I'm pretty sure skiing is on the no-no list when you are pregnant, so you gotta fit that in while you can

Happy Thanksgiving Ladies!

I started spotting yesterday at 8dp5dt and got really upset, out of 4 IUI's and 3 prior transfers only once did I not bleed before beta, so figured it was the end. When I got home tested and got a positive, but this happened in April when I had a CP. I called the RE and he moved my beta moved up to today and it was 272! Holy crap. I feel like this might actually be real! Also thankfully the bleeding has stopped.

** Warning **

My BFP story so far, not sure how it will end. I bought 3 FRERs and 3 CB digitals with weeks. My beta was scheduled for Monday Dec 1st, which is 15dp5dt.

I had what I thought was implantation spotting on Saturday night, which was 6dp5dt. At 11pm I tested and got a positive FRER with a squinty line. I tested with a CB digital Sunday and it said "Not Pregnant", tested with a FRER and it was a light line, but a clear positive and darker than the night before. Monday, tested with another FRER and got same positive. Tuesday 9dp5dt I had a "Pregnant 1-2" on the CB. Wednesday I started cramping and bleeding bright red. Thursday heavier cramping and bleeding, I called the nurse and she scheduled me for a beta for Friday (this morning).

I was expecting the beta to be less than 50 as I assume I'm having a CP. The beta came back at 162 (12dp5dt). I'm not sure what to think right now. I go back in on Monday to see if the beta decreased or increased. I hate being in beta hell.

Update: cycle is moving faster this time. I am only on the fifth day of stims but have three follicles at 13mm, 12mm, and 9mm and one follicle less than 10mm but not measurable yet. Last time when I was at this stage I had five follicles, all less than 10mm. So, I am expecting retrieval Thursday and transfer Sunday but we'll see. Next check is Monday. Hopefully all four will grow and can be retrieved. Please pray! This may be my last cycle with my own eggs.

From my side, it is now official that we are going to do our first FET in January 2015 as I just booked my flight to go back to US and sent an email to my nurse to inform her about our plan to do FET.

I'm feeling little nervous as my goal was to gain 20-25lbs from September to December and I could gain only 5lbs till now. I'm going to see a nutritionist to find a diet plan that could help me to gain more weight in 1 and half month before transferring my embryo.

I have 15lbs you can have!!! Lol GL I'm glad you have a great plan!!

Congrats to RunCC and Shelbeans! FX for everyone cycling!

Sorry I've been MIA the last few days. I've been trying to enjoy a few days off before it's back to work and infertility stress. I got my period Friday morning so I started BCPs today and am still hoping for a January FET of our two blasts. I need to call my clinic tomorrow to schedule my saline sono and find out what kind of deposit I need since I should have a credit from my cancelled transfer this month. I also am hoping to squeeze in a quick consult with my RE to discuss the plan for my FET. I want to make sure we dot every "i" and cross every "t" this cycle since we have decided that this is our last cycle with my eggs. I want to give our last chance at biological children the best shot possible.

QOTD: We did some black friday shopping. We usually hit Walmart, Target, Kohl's, and JC Penney, but this year we ended up skipping Kohl's. I also did some shopping online at Walmart, Target, and Amazon.

My lining was 14 this morning. Nurse just said this was good?? Anything over 8 is good according to her. I never paid any attention to my lining other than it looked good while I was doing my other cycles. I start my pio on the 4th. They will call on the 7th to tell me when my transfer time is. Thoughts on my lining?
