I love all the strong names on here! We just found out it's girl, and my only requirement for a girls' name is that it needs to sound good with CEO, Esq. or MD/DO after it. I am not a tiger mom I swear, I just don't love cutesy girls names. We are going with Claire.
Our son's name is Henry Alfred (after our grandads) and we will probably go with Madeleine Eloise for this little lady uterine resident, after my dhs late grandmother I will call her Malou since my grandad used to call me m'lou after an old song by Paul Robeson. Other contenders are Amélie, Charlotte and Lucy. My dh is francophone and I'm anglophone so the name has to translate well. We will wait to meet her before finalizing though.
The baby names board had a field day with it, but IDGAF.
This exactly!! I asked opinions on a few names Gunnar/Gunner being one of them and got a few not so lovely opinions. I appreciated them all, but it won't change my mind on liking the name.
I am not personally a fan of the Gunner spelling. Gunnar is Scandinavian and very old. It means Warrior in Old Norse.
I don't think they are pronounced the same either. Correct me if I'm wrong? @scoutfinch13

Technically no they aren't, but I just can't see myself saying Gunnar and it being pronounced Goo-nar.If we go with it we will just pronounce it as Gun-ner, because like she said I don't like the Gunner spelling.
My husband and I had been set on Lillian Mae but my grandmother is suffering from late stage pancreatic cancer and will most likely have passed before the baby comes. My grandmother and I are very close and so to honor her, my husband and I are going with Lillian Margaret. (Margaret is my grandmothers name.)
I'm not sure about a first name yet. I love Liam, Sean, Ryan. There are a handful of other names I really like but they start with the letter C, which I'd like to avoid as DS is Corbin...not big on doing same letter first names. Middle name will be Bradley after my grandfather.
If this baby had been a girl she would have been Aubrey Victoria. We decided on that during my first pregnancy before we knew the sex but we ended up with my boy Corbin instead
Nothing is very close to definite but for a girl we like Zoey. I love Eloise (nickname Elle) but my husband isn't sold. I hated Eloise at first but it grew on me and I love it now! Middle name either Jane or Catherine after my grandmothers. Rocco for a boy after my great grandfather. Middle name probably Charles after my Dad, Poppop and husband's Pop. It's tough bc our last name is one syllable and we want a first name with at least two syllables.
We've decided on the first name: William, Will for short. It's my dad's middle name and FIL's first name (but he goes by Bill).
We haven't chosen a middle name yet, mostly because we haven't decided on the last name. I kept my maiden name, and I would really like to hyphenate baby's LN. H is completely against it. So much so that he would prefer baby just have my LN rather than hyphenate, but he really wants it to be his LN. He won't even discuss hyphenating, but I'm going to give it one last try...
I also kept my maiden name. DH *hates* this. The compromise we made was that our kids will have his last name and at daycare / school I'll also use that name.
That's the thing. He was totally fine with me keeping my maiden name, but when it comes to baby, I guess he feels differently...
Boy - Archer (Archie) Joseph or Maxwell (Max) Joseph
Girl - Zoey Ann
Big brother's name is Elijah but we call him Eli. Someone told me Archie is the name of Eli Mannings dad, I don't want people to think we are crazy Manning fans is my only worry.
We are having a little girl, her name will be Freya Her big sister is Autumn
LOVE it! have you considered spelling it Freyja?
I only ever see this name on the baby names board, I've never heard it IRL. Is it pronounced "free-uh," "fray-uh," or "fry-uh?" I've always wondered.</blockquote
We have top contenders. Mila Celeste or Norah Elise/Elyse (don't know the proper spelling) for a girl and Lucas Grey for a boy. We also really really really want Eden for a boy but I'm worried about it being too feminine. It can be pronounced E-den or ED-en to make it a little more masculine. It seems to be a popular UK name for males. We also like Silas and Micah
I think we are 100% going with Claire Marie. We just haven't actually said it yet. But I've been set on Claire since college, and DH likes it. Marie is a family name.
If we have a girl, her name will be Eva. If it turns out it's a boy it will be a neverending struggle with my man, I hate all of his boy name suggestions. I'd name him Niko!
We have decided on naming our baby boy Evan. His middle names will be after our dads - Evan Robert James We are keeping his name a secret until he is born
As I posted in my aw announcement, we did make a final decision. Lincoln Denver. Family name and our hometown. I like announcing the sex and name all at once because I didn't want any suggestions or opinions. Lol. We did the same with my daughter so I thought we would do it again this time. Plus I didn't want to go back and forth for months on the name after learning th sex so we chose and are sticking with it!

Good choice. We are naming our boy Lincoln Anthony. Lincoln was the only name that isn't super popular that my husband and I agreed on, and Anthony is my late fathers name.
Annabelle Grace... We decided on that name before I got pregnant the first time! Three babies later we are FINALLY having a girl. Although, the middle name was going to be Rose and at my 3D/4D ultrasound we decided that didn't fit.
Eve or Edward. We wont find out what it is for another week though. I had Eve picked out for years and he had Edward, so there was no real issue there! Middle names however were a different story.
Also the "This baby will never have a name." option made me giggle, probably too much!
Ugh I've had a girl name set for years because I'm a crazy person but H wanted an Italian name for a boy. He wants Vincent which is fine but Vinny! With the Philly accent around here! *cringe*
Does he realize how difficult it is to find an Italian boy name that isn't as common as Anthony but isn't as ridiculous as Guido?! His dad's name is Giuseppe! Sorry all the Lorenzo's and Mario's and Giuseppe's of the world, but no thank you! Not for me. Too much like a pizza place or the cast of jersey shore.
What about Alessandro? I have a friend with an Italian-born husband and her little guy is Alessandro, but goes by Alex.
I have also heard Nico.
To add to the Italian name help I work with a few Italians and and some of them have amazing names! one girl is named Natasia (which I think is beautiful) her brothers are Julian and Matthew ( her Dad is a Bruno) a few Michael's and yes I have a Vincenzo and a Rocco in the house as well.
My MIL was 2nd generation Italian so we have some good names in the family. H's grandfather was Nello. If we had a boy, his MN was going to be Anton- H's MN & another grandfathers name. First name was Jude, but that was from my FIL's German side. :-) Good Luck!
Our girls name is Joslyn Marie, Jo or Josie for NN. Our first is Rosetta Dae (both family names) and her NN's are Ro and Rosie. I think they sound so cute together! Plus, FIL is Joseph and goes by Joe. Rosetta was my MIL's name and we all called her Rosie. I'm happy I'll have a Rosie and Jo again. (Even if it is 2 girls! :-) )
It is fun to see what everyone else is thinking of for names. We are leaning towards Coleman Haskell, with Haskell being a family name. We are so close to being official, but then we get torn with just waiting till we get to see him. Who knows what what we will decide to do!
Elijah Fox is our final name choice. Elijah is a family name for us dating back to the early 1800s on DH's side. Fox because....why not?? We wanted an edgy middle name.
We still need to discuss but we've liked Serena for a really long time. I personally really like Merida (yes like the disney princess, i have some deep rooted scottish ancestry) but i don't know if the hubs will go for that. Hahaha.
We call the baby invader zim for now and she is my little alien. Hopefully after further discussion I'll be able to add to the convo again with a real answer.
Found out yesterday were having a boy and my husband finally quit with the ridiculous names and started listening to what I was saying. Anyway we were between Greyson and Levi... I wanted Levi and was ok with Greyson. Then my aunt yesterday was like Greyson's cute but... Gracie? And so then he was like never mind Levi it is. Lol yay for my aunt. anyway it'll be Levi Mikel. My great grandfather was a Levi (not why I picked the name just coincidence). And Mikel is my husband'a name. Pronounced mick-el. Not Michael. Technically it's meekel in Spanish.
We won't find out for a few more weeks what the sex is. Right now we are thinking of waiting for the baby to come to make a final decision. We have all the initals we like and some names written down. But just can't decide.

I love Evan! I think that would've been my first choice if we didn't have a friend with a son named that. But he's not that close of a friend any more so I'm still considering it..... Haha
Edited to say: Hmm, now I REALLY am thinking about it!! If we switch to Evan, I hope you won't mind!!
hehe of course I don't mind - we were set on Cameron for the longest time. It came up years ago when we were discussing "future baby names" and it stuck. Recently DH's office moved and he now sits beside a coworker named Cameron so he thinks it would be weird but hadn't ruled it out altogether. On the way home from our gender reveal photoshoot after finding out we are having a boy we were going through lists and when I suggested Evan we both kind of looked at each other and just knew. The next morning we both said how much we loved it and knew it had to be his name.

Levi and Greyson are on our list too but I'm leaning towards Greyson.

Some friends of ours have a daughter named Freya. I think it is a very pretty name.

It is pronounced fray-uh.
Corbin | born 4.19.12
Baby boy #2 | due 4.13.15
We won't be finding the sex out but we narrowed it down to two names for each sex.
boy- Kaysen Lucas or Kane Lucas
girl- Sawyer Elizabeth or Brynn Elizabeth
