This is a little random, but someone drove their car through a protest crowd and ran over like 10 people in Minnesota. The video footage is crazy; what is wrong with people. I'm not sure if it will make national news, but I can't believe how much has been happening in the 8 hours I've been at work.
I never said it was fair, I said it was not only white men on the jury. But since you brought it up, in your opinion, what do you think is "fair"? 9/3 in reverse? More women? Do you think that there would have been a different outcome if it was 50/50? Do you automatically assume that all the white jury members are racist?
I haven't had a chance to review all of the actual evidence released, do you think it was interpreted incorrectly?
I am honestly interested in others opinions, I'm not looking to argue.
I think in a case where the issue of race is clearly at the forefront, 50/50 would have been more fair. And while just being white doesn't make you racist, everyone has unintentional biases, perspectives, and stereotypes. We all do. Denying that won't change anything.
Racism is alive and strong in this country. I agree wholeheartedly with @dorothygale01 that the fact that this isn't even going to trial makes me sick to my stomach.
I am trying to find the evidence that was actually given to the Grand Jury. It was suppose to be released correct? It's just really hard to believe anything in the media anymore. I have only heard the statement given when the decision was announced yesterday. Does anyone have a link?

NPR has them. It's a lot to look through, they're currently reviewing them but are inviting readers to point out interesting info:
Hate has caused many problems, but it has not solved any either. Love.
I have a house that is 4 miles from all this. You want respect? Give it. You want love? Share it. You want to be treated like an equal? Act like it. God does the judging. Live and love life. Be a follower of Jesus. Sin not. Remember the commandments God gave us. Pray for them and their hearts. We all have differences of opinions in who is wrong/right in regards to Wilson and Brown, but it is not our place to judge. Everyone does things differently, thinks differently, acts differently. That is what makes us awesome. We are our own unique fingerprint. Celebrate differences. Love one another and peace will find you. (Just trying to find some happy.) As an african American woman married to a Sheriffs Deputy with an African American son on the way, I totally understand both sides of this tragic situation. No one wins here. I think we can all agree as mothers, we wish to never know the feeling of losing our children. I pray for healing and peace for his mother, the city of Ferguson, law enforcement, and our nation.
It's a horrible tradegdy all the way around, for both sides. I try to avoid & stay out of this sort of thing given the fact that I deal with this sort of conflict on a routine basis. No one wins here. Having been familiar with this sort of thing, all I can say is don't believe everything that's portrayed in the media- from either side. Unless you were there and saw it happen, there may be little to no truth on what's being reflected in the media. I have seen it time and time again in high profile cases, homicide or not, where the media doesn't get it right from minute one. At the end of the case, we are left wondering where the hell they got some piece of information. Shoot, I've given press statements before & read what they published & know for certain that's not what I said. Grand jury proceedings are essentially secret & we'll never know, as the public, what actually transpired & played out in there. I've never had a situation where the prosecutor sought indictment through a grand jury, but there's a damn good reason why they choose that route with charges, versus the more traditional route. Don't believe everything you read folks & as previous posters have said, while the officer may not be charged with homicide in a state court setting, it's not over yet for him......

I encourage people to please read the transcripts and evidence reports. There is a great deal of misinformation floating around. The media has been manipulating the situation from the start. It's a shame.
