So we went to our 3d u/s yesterday and baby boy did NOT cooperate. My daughter didn't the first time either so I'm not surprised its just so annoying because of course it was like the only time that worked for hubs and I to both be there. Fortunately because they didn't get any good pics of his face they let us come back for free so we will go on the same day we are going to Boston for our anniversary night away. My husband wasn't thrilled since he wanted to leave early but appt. is at 11 and we can't even check into hotel until 4 so I don't think its a big deal.
But she did say he looked healthy and fluid levels were great and confirmed he's definitely a HE so all of that is obviously good news
Share one with me! I want a donut. Actually, I want a brownie with walnuts.
AW warning: Zoe had her appt and gained 2 whole ounces since being released They were thrilled with it her doctor said "keep doing what you're doing!" which kind of made me feel all fuzzy. I also nursed in public for the first time, so I'm all around just feeling like super woman today (I'm not really, but I was for 15 minutes!).

@shehulk723 I got the skip hop all in one tear away or something? I think it was like $60. I dont know if that is too expensive but it had great reviews and I love it so far, it has tons of room. On Amazon they have a skip hop on a black friday baby stuff 40% off sale right now, I believe the price was $48.00.
Good luck!
Thank you for the recommendation! I'll definitely check it out. I'd like to stay in the $60 range, but every one I keep seeing that I like is easily $150-300.
ETA: @MrsDigger10 I think it doesn't help that I'm just picky. I'm trying to avoid patterns so it will match most of my outfits, etc.
Welp, due to GD, my doctor said they won't let me go to my due date (1/27). So if this kid doesn't come any earlier, I'll have a choice between 1/21 or 1/23.
I also ate half a slice of toast before noticing a piece of furry mold on the remaining half. Yuck.
I got about 4.5 hours of sleep last night. I need to do some cleaning, start on the mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving and pay a few bills, but I just want to go to sleep.
@musicfanatic that is awesome! Those weight appts were always so stressful for me because M was never gaining enough-soo happy that after all you've gone through you don't have to deal with that More pics of Zoe please
Nora is currently obsessed with the Thanksgiving episode of Dora. Thanks to Boots (Dora's monkey side-kick for anyone who isn't well versed in kids' tv shows), she insists that we must have banana cream pie for Thanksgiving. Our menu, according to Nora, is turkey, bread, and banana cream pie. Since I don't "do" pies, I just called the grocery store bakery to see if they have any, and they do, so I guess that's where I'm going this afternoon to get one.
Yes, I'm indulging my child's Thanksgiving desert request because it's just too cute that she feels so strongly about it. :P
ETA: Well, shoot, the recipes I'm finding actually look pretty darn easy. Dare I experiment? Maybe that would be fun for her to help with.

I did a door buster grocery store run this morning....I was so glad that I did because it was getting ugly when I was checking out and the parking lot was nearly full. However I did forget the damn apples for the apple pie I am supposed to make. Ggrr. On a brighter note, the girl who bagged my groceries did a great job, she packed them like I would have, like items in the same bag. It makes me crazy when they put one item in each bag. That did make me very happy. I guess it is the little things.
On the topic of diaper bags I got a cheap one ($20) from walmart with DD and it was fine. I splurged for a skip hop duo this time when they were on sale with amazon (I think it was around $50) and I love it so much. It has stroller straps that you can clip around stroller handles or the grocery cart bar, just that feature was worth the extra money for me!
I slept horribly last night! Didn't go to sleep until about 3 (was watching the news in disbelief at what was happening in Ferguson, my heart breaks for all the police officers and business owners). Then woke up at 4 30 choking on acid, couldn't stop coughing and almost got sick from all the acid trying to come up (tmi & gross). Uuggggh! To make it worse I was sleeping sitting straight up in the recliner. I mean there's really nothing else I can do for this reflux! I'm out of options!

I made a banana cream pie once years ago and it wasn't that hard and it was freaking delicious. Could be fun to make it yourself!!

Have you tried Nexium? I've been on it since Friday morning and I haven't had one issue since starting it. It's like a WORLD of difference...

Ive been taking zantc twice a day (plus tums a couple times per day and in the middle of the night), maybe I should ask the Dr if I should switch. It was working to begin with but obviously not so much now. Etd: spell check messed up my words.
@musicfanatic, that made me tear up! what a beautiful pic
on an unrelated note, I had mentioned a few months back how discouraged I was regarding my billables and my bosses concern that I would need to adjust my hours or pay in the spring if I couldn't keep them up...well two months later and I've been working my butt off and have DOUBLED my billables for the year...needless to say I'm impressed with myself being that I'm definitely still not working the hours I normally would and I'm pretty sure I won't be hearing any flack going forward yay for showing that moms can do it all!

I was taking zantac before the nexium and wasn't having much luck with it. Doctor told me to make the switch. I think asking your doctor wouldn't hurt at this point. I'm sorry you're so miserable

Impressive regarding the billables! That's awesome!
@LadyXaverian, this one looks super easy. It uses a frozen pie crust (or you could do graham cracker crust to make it even easier), instant pudding, bananas, and cool whip.

Cute! You should totally make it with her; you'd both have fun! (And, the store has back-ups just in case! )
DS1 has been obsessed with having cream puffs for our Thanksgiving dinner because be saw a picture of them in a Thanksgiving book. I bought a package of frozen because I'm pretty sure that there is no way cream puffs are easy to make!
@musicfanatic Great picture! You and Zoe look great! I am happy to hear she is doing so well.
@MKateG I had to switch to Nexium too. Zantac only worked for so long. I was having acid reflux so bad it HURT. I have NONE now, as long as I remember to take the Nexium. Definitely ask your doctor. You do not need to suffer!
I was having a lot of BH this morning. We have a first aid room with a chase lounge in it (and a door on it), so I filled up my water bottle and laid down for a bit to see if they stopped. The contractions stopped almost as soon as I laid down, but I *may* have fallen asleep for a bit. Whoops.
As soon as I finish this last load of laundry, I'm going to finish packing my hospital bag. After that, we need to clean and install the car seat, and then we'll be ready for baby girl's arrival!
I went on the biggest grocery shopping trip ever yesterday, and bought enough food to last us over a month. After that, I decided to rearrange my kitchen cupboard to make everything fit neatly. Needless to say, I was in a lot of pain last night. Taking it easy today!
I painted my toenails this morning, and plan to count that feat as doing yoga/stretching/exercise.
@Firefly3911 teething molars is the worst DD already has her first set and has been working on the second set for months. They'll break through a little, raise all kinds of hell in the sleep/mood department, and then go back down... WTF!! I hope C's come through quickly and you all are back to sleep soon!

And (insert whine) I thought C was too little for molars!? What happened to the rest of her poor little teeth? Bah.
Yeah DD got her molars way early too. She had all 4 of the first set in by her first birthday and seems like the second set have been coming and going since then. Teething sucks!!
thank you for thinking of me @saiven and thanks everyone else for the support! It has been super stressful but I feel like I have proved that despite adjusting my time I can still earn enough to "keep up" with the guys... Now I won't feel to bad taking the full week out for Christmas to relax with my daughter before we are a family of four
I had another panic attack last night. Usually it's totally gone by morning, but this time I feel like I'm still recovering. I can't get my heart rate down. I'm wondering if I should go get checked out, but I feel too crummy to drive anyway. I'm tired of this crap.
Oh boy, I'm sorry @HappyMonkey817 Is there anyone that can give you a lift? I wish those would stop for you, they must be unsettling and suck.
And thank you all :x
I'm only made up because we went out in public, and I semi tried to look half-way decent for it. I really just threw on clothes and lip gloss, lol. Admittedly, after so many weeks of bedrest in the hospital.. I'm kind of enjoying getting dressed and wearing a little makeup. Plus I need it- in reality I'm tired as hell and something needs to hide the bags!
(Zoe Claire- born at 33.6 weeks- November 19, '14 - 5lbs 15oz)
I have been nauseated since dinner last night. Today I thought maybe I was just super hungry so I ate lunch, big mistake. It is physically impossible for me to throw up because of a surgery I had a few years back, so I can't even get any relief from the feeling. Ugh.
I've been over doing it today. My hips hurt so bad I can hardly move. I get contractions the second I move it seems like. Luckily I'm almost done, just a few more things to do.
Then I need to run to the store.
For now I'm relaxing with a heating pad on my back. I tried my exercise ball, but it's too small, so I'll need to buy a bigger one. Hopefully that'll help my hip pain.
Good news: My double stroller arrived in the mail today.
Bad news: I couldn't wait to set it up and now DD1 is DEMANDING I push her in it... My house is not made for stroller freeways...
My double stroller gets in this afternoon too and I can't wait to set it up when I get home!! Looks like a quick walk after work for us, even if one of the seats will be unoccupied!
My baby boy(10mo) is officially walking! He can walk the entire length of the hallway(30-ish ft) without falling. I'm feeling like such a proud mommy today.
He has also just figured out how to open cabinets. So it looks like I'm going to be spending the next couple days child-proofing my house(I know, I should've done this sooner!). At least for now, they are safely sealed shut with I (heart) bacon duct tape.
@HappyMonkey817 I'm so sorry you keep having panic attacks. I know how terrible and scary they can be. I really hope they stop and that you feel better soon. Sending you lots of good juju!
Re: Tuesday Randoms!
I'm trying to get my office ready and organized for my leave, but everyday I come in all gung-ho and 2 seconds after I sit down... I am done.
And there's cheesecake and pumpkin pies in the lounge- with delicious catering of yummy Mexican food coming our way by noon. My fatass is in trouble.

Ooh that one looks even easier than the one I found. Thank you!
Feet and ankles and hands and everything are all swollen. Ugh. But, I bought peppermint bark and eggnog, so life is still okay.
And both my classes are canceled tonight! I get a normal-person evening with DH! It never heppens.
Then I need to run to the store.
