Teaching Math to 4th graders has me stressed this year. We have a newish assessment calendar & pacing guide to keep us on track per quarter. We are already behind bc my group needed some review days early on, and now it's backfiring. I have to give a test today that I don't feel ALL the kiddos are ready for (2/3, will be fine) in order to get everything else taught in the 3 remaining weeks of the quarter before we have more assessments and Winter Break. Not to mention I'm trying to stay on pace due to a sub coming in at some point.
But, hey, today's my Friday and I plan on getting a latte after school. So that's getting me through my Math woes.
Morning! Yesterday I went to the doc and when the doctor was checking the heartbeat, my little guy kicked the doppler. It cracked my docotr up she said that doesn't happen too often and he's def a healthy little guy. She also estimated he's going to be bigger than my daughter who was 6.9 I really dont want a large baby out of fear of excess tearing. Although since my daugher had a complicated birth and pre-clempsia, I'm just grateful I have had none of those symptoms so far
I love when they kick the doppler, @bustysinclare - too cute!
@amandad715- sorry for the Math woes Hopefully your kiddos do better than you expect!
We have our first venture out of the house today- Zoe has a weight check at 8:30. Hopefully she's where they want her to be. My best friend has been visiting and leaves today, has been so nice to have her here. I wish she lived closer. But glad she came for a bit!
(Zoe Claire- born at 33.6 weeks- November 19, '14 - 5lbs 15oz)
DS is feeling better, so I'm headed to work. I'm kind of happy about that. Well, I'm really happy that's he's better and kind of happy that I'm going to work.
How long is it ok to leave the pumpkins and autumn wreath on the front porch? Do I have to switch it out for Christmas decorations this weekend?
Having sugar at night gives me a sugar hangover in the morning (a really bad headache). But I cant stop myself!! Lucky Charms as dessert is the best thing ever!
I'm 34 weeks today and feeling large and in charge. It's hitting me that this is really happening really soon. Our stroller and car seat are still in MD where we got them, but we'll be there this weekend and will bring them back with us. I'm crazy excited
It's coffee time! The 2nd best part of the day! (other than dessert time)
Nora, who is 3.5 for those who can't see tickers, usually wakes up every night at some point to get in bed with us or to ask one of us to get into her bed with her.
Yesterday, she slept until 6:20 a.m., and this morning, we had to wake her at 7:10. If only I didn't have to get up 3 or 4 times to pee, I might have gotten an amazing night sleep lol.
Today is my last day before Thanksgiving break, and we got permission to watch a movie adaptation of a novel we just finished reading, so I'm excited.
ETA: OH! And tomorrow is the house inspection on the house we hope to buy as well as our current home (for our buyer). Cross all the appendages, people.
At work I've resigned myself to wearing a white v-neck tshirt, blue scrub pants and a white jacket because nothing fits anymore. I'm pretty much "all belly", and you can easily see the movements baby makes these days. I was introducing myself to my (male) patient last night, who was sitting in a chair eye-level with my belly. Vivie apparently decided to try to claw her way out that very moment, and my stomach moved like crazy. The patient just stared at it in horror and couldn't say anything else. I excused myself and left. Awkward.
Came home to a raccoon trapped half in and half out of our garage. Giving him a little while to try to unstick himself before I call animal control.
I feel like absolute hell this morning. My BP is up again and my head is pounding. Today and tomorrow I had planned to clean the house since we have 17 people coming over for Thanksgiving but right now, I just can't.
Good news is that since my OB changed up my dosage of Glyburide, I've only had one bad number this week and that was after eating Chick-fil-a. I knew that it would be high (hello, carbs) but baby really wanted that chicken sandwich.
At work so boo to that. I have no appointments for the rest of the week so I'm on busy work until Thursday.
I have a DS related random though. He's been saying "gray is grease" over and over again for days now and I could not figure out what the hell he's been talking about so I just smile and nod. Then yesterday he points at his(blue) shirt and says "blue es azul."
Gray es gris, not grease.
My son is reciting his colors in Spanish not speaking gibberish. Do'h.
The rioting in Ferguson makes me sad. What is that going to accomplish? More people are going to die or get hurt.
Me too... regardless of which side you fall on I don't see how burning down businesses of people who have no involvement makes things better. My heart goes out to those people, I couldn't imagine waking up today and hearing my store was burned down right before the holidays.
I have zero motivation to be at work today. I am sure tomorrow is going to be worse, but I will not be staying past noon tomorrow. My guess is that there will be all of 5 of us in the lab tomorrow.
Today is my next to last day of work, so I decided to be a good employee and get a bunch of stuff done early this morning. Well, I went to use my boss's computer (which is something I normally do, because I work as her assistant) but my parting gift was sitting right in front of her computer, I definitely wasn't supposed to see it yet haha. So I'm going to pretend I didn't see it and do what work I can from one of the office computers. But I'm getting a nice sized gift card to BRU! Yay!
I've got so much to do today. I'm really just thinking I'll do the minimal amount and say eff it to everything else. I'm too pregnant for this, and I'm exhausted!
I'm up early watching the Duggars. I like this show, but I don't care for Jessa and Bens relationship. I think they are so young and immature. I feel embarrassed when I watch them together. I really like Jill and Derek though.
I got most of the Christmas presents wrapped yesterday! \:D/
I literally cried this morning watching the news about Ferguson. It isn't easy being a police officers wife when things like this go on. I can't imagine all of the families of the officers in ferguson and the neighboring towns knowing that their family members have to actually go out and deal with these people who hate them just because of their job. And I am so sad for all the citizens of that town who are being overrun by people who just want to cause trouble. Yes there are those who wanted to peacefully protest but I didn't see any of that last night...
Today is my last day in the office this week and I just realized that when I come back into work it will be December and that means its the month before most of our babies are due!! WAHOOOOOOOOO I hope time flies I am sooo ready for January!
@saiven I don't want to be the first Sunday Momma either not that I want to wish it on anyone else but the past two days, it seems that just rolling over in bed causes cramps and contractions. I'm not sure how much longer this little green bean is willing to stay put.
@saiven not at all That's usually one I always look forward to, but was super busy this past Sunday. You do a good job with the Sunday ticker change. I say we have the best!
@YaMrWhite - Congrats on your new Chipotle! I'm just sad that the Jerry's Subs and Pizza up there closed. I have been craving Jerry's pretty much all pregnancy but don't want to drive any further north than necessary.
@CrazyMonkeyBear - I'm glad you got the OK to work from home if tomorrow is crazy.
I'm just sitting over here totally freaking out because I give up on telling the difference between Gavin moving and having a contraction. I was feeling pretty crampy last night and my boobs are killing me these past few days.
I'm totally freaked out that I won't know the difference between movements/stretching and labor.

How is it only Tuesday??!! I am SO over my job some days, I am holding out hope that I will be a little less burnt out when I get back from maternity leave, and that my position can change some and that will help. But man, I still have 5 full weeks and 2 partial weeks and that just seems insurmountable some days.
Good luck to the ladies who have appointments today and to all of us trying to slug through the short work week with little to no motivation.
Also I don't know how I missed that Zoe is home! Congrats @MusicFanatic that's fabulous news, hope her weight check goes well!
I'm thankful to have everything be a-ok this pregnancy so far. Man it'd be nice to lay in bed for a day or two. I know I know I DONT want bed rest! Treeking to work at 530 am sucks. And my stomach is so fussy that early whether I eat or not!
I'm really frustrated with the price of diaper bags. Every time I see one that I actually like it's twice or three times the amount I'd like to spend on one. I'm caught in the middle of hating the idea of throwing so much money at one item and knowing that if I have to carry something around allllll the time, I better like it.
@LadyXaverian
You're giving me all the hope. I can't wait for DS to sleep through the night without crawling into bed with us! And all the appendages are crossed!
I also can't wait until he realizes that 6:30 is not an appropriate time to sing Christmas Carols.
@bookitboo Now, tonight she could be back to her old tricks. She likes to give us false hope every now and again.
Krispy Kreme donuts in the office this morning! I had one. It was like 99% sugar, a little too much! But sooo gooood.
Had the worst dreams last night. All of my anxieties combined into this cinematic masterpiece of stress - I was in control of a company but got schemed by a guy and lost everything and it was all my fault, DH left me, I had nothing, and I was alone and devastated. It all took place in this Manhattan skyscraper with views of the whole city and was really beautiful. So weird.
anyone heard from @aerotigergirl? I haven't seen her post in a while but maybe I'm missing something. Hope she's okay!
Hey! Aw, it's so nice of you to miss me! I'm around, I just have been totally slammed at work lately, so I haven't been able to bump much. Hopefully things at work will slow down in the next 5 days or so and I can get back to my regularly scheduled program of keeping up with all of you beautiful ladies. I've tried to keep up via mobile in the evenings but that mostly just results in love tits and not much posting on my part (because autocorrect and I rarely see eye-to-eye).
1/2015 November Siggy Challenge - Thanksgiving Fails
My little man kicked the doppler at my appointment a couple weeks ago. Yesterday, he did a nice big roll over for the nurse practitioner while she checked his heartbeat.
Christmas has invaded my house and I LOVE it! I didn't put everything out this year, just things I can easily put away after the new year. I just have to put ornaments on the tree and set up the village. I usually decorate sooner but with the baby shower and DH's family visiting I held off a little later this year.
Re: the diaper bag thing - you can try a bag that's not necessarily marketed as a diaper bag. Just look for a tote type purse that has lots of different pockets - that would totally work.

@bustysinclare my LO did that too about a month ago. Kicked the Doppler 3 times in a row!
@Britt1406 I'm working Friday and I think I'll be one of maaaaaybe 4 people. But I'll get a lot of work done because everyone assumes we are closed.

Maybe if he knew more of the Carol than 'Jingle Bells.' I can only take a small percentage of jingling bells before coffee.
