Bah. So I know this is going to sound silly but I have arthritis in my toe. My big toe. So bad weather makes it act up. I don't understand why the weather does what it does but my toe suffers for it. Sometimes the only thing that helps is stretching my toes and flexing them. Well I did and my toe popped and it hurt like a mother! Like super painful thought my toe fell off or something. It wasn't even one of those "good" pops where you know it's going to hurt a bit but then you'll feel better. No. It just made it hurt worse and it sucked.

Damn toe.

Holy weekend. I cleaned so much this weekend and there are still more things to do. I thought about making a list of things that I did so that I could cross them all off, but that seemed like another task, so I skipped it. I might still do that later, though.

@juliedave151 I would do it for a few days and see if it is a real hassle or not. If it seems to go okay, I would do it. And I would do it for free. It's the neighborly thing to do. Doing it for free not only sets you up with someone to call in a favor with, but it takes the pressure off if you need to cancel or decide to change your mind.

It's a nice thing to do.

Well technically it would more rude to keep declining the shower if someone insisted on throwing one than to actually have one. So really it depends on the circumstances.

Like for instance, I was given a shower for Isaac at work. I made a point of telling people that he's my second and therefore I really don't need anything and was not expecting a shower. Then one day I came into the office and they surprised me with a shower. What then? Do I tell them no again? Of course not. You act gracious because they can spend their money however they want and if it's for a gift for my son then that's their choice. I declined at first and they insisted.

DD is joining the sick baby club. She woke with a runny nose and watery eye. She has been so clingy and then napped 2 1/2 hours. Her temp is now 99.6. I hope she is better for thanksgiving. I feel so bad she is not feeling well.

I tried to get Lucas to watch a Christmas movie to get in the holiday spirit, but we were not impressed with the selection on Netflix. So instead we watched Giada work miracles with Thanksgiving leftovers. My non-TV-watching child was elated.
