Magic Merlin Suit

Is it as magical as the name? Pro's? Con's?

I got one last week for DS and he seemed to sleep the same as he always has until last night when he slept for 8.5 hours without waking up! It was amazing. The suit is the only thing that is different so I have to give it credit! I hope it continues

Wet loved it. We used it when we stopped swaddling DS and it really was a life saver for us.

How many months did you use it up to? Did you find the transition from the suit to nothing was difficult? How did you know it was time to stop using it?

lol it does. I think this has the weighted effect to it.

Looks like a snowsuit to me. Why not just put them in a snow suit?

We used ours for our last baby for 7 months - it was awesome!  It may look like a snowsuit, but it has some special features - a scoop neckline to keep fabric away from face, sleeves are like 3/4 length so that baby can get to hands, no feet, double zipper for diaper changes, etc.

We love ours. We started using it as soon as she started rolling over. She slept great in it at first, but now we are having some other sleep issues. I still love it though especially for these cooler months. I got a small for my then 12 pound 3 month old and it was quite large on her. Her feet didn't even stick out of the bottom. Now at 13 pounds she fits perfectly. I plan on switching to sleep sacks before she outgrows it.

We used it up until about 6 months. We stopped using it because he outgrew it but we didn't have any issue transitioning him from the suit to nothing.

If you're looking for a transition from a swaddle, check out the Love to Dream sleep sacks. We are in love with them over here. They even make 50/50 ones where the "wings" unzipper so it's sleeveless at some point. Helps get your money out of it since they grow so quick. Make sure you look at length over weight for sizing too.

We started using one a few weeks ago to transition L out of the RNP and into his crib. It definitely helps him not startle as much, so it has helped his sleep a lot. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get him to nap.

We have one.  We started using it right as her 4 month sleep regression started (around 3 months old), so I wasn't sold on the thing (she was waking every hour).  However, her regression has ended (knock on wood) and we are getting much better sleep than we did pre-regression.  She only has 1-2 MOTN wakings and will go to sleep by herself (i.e. I don't have to nurse/rock/bounce/etc. to sleep).  Before her regression she would wake 2-4x/night.  Every night seems to be getting better, too.

    Final verdict:  Worth it.

We do footed pj and sleepsac. Transitioned DS from swaddle to a cozy quilted sleep sack form Baby deedee when he was 8 weeks. Slept straight 7 hour on day one, miracle!!
He sleeps so much better now. Not to mention he looks super cute in it.
