Anyone doing their genetic testing this week???

I am doing mine on 11/21 which i mentioned in a previous post. Nervous about the results of the abnormality but excited to know if baby is out of the danger zone with those issues and to also find out what i am having. Would be fun to hear from others that are doing it and to see what their results are

Can I ask a question regarding what may be mine? Last appt (Fri 11-17) my Dr gave me lab papers and told me to get them done in a week. She didn't explain anything and I didn't ask as I just thought they were regular labs as I have never had any done. After reading them (when I left I noticed they mentioned Chromosome Y-x...etc) Is this a genetic testing bloodwork? I have emailed my Dr office but they have not responded yet so I thought I'd ask on this post. Thanks

I did my NT ultrasound today, doc said it looks great. Also awaiting the blood test results, hopefully all will continue to be well as far as the chromosomal testing goes. They say 3-7 business days...

My DH and I had our's done last week! We did this testing called the family prep screen, where they test for over 85 different genetic issues that could be passed down to the baby. We are very low risk, but DH wanted to get it done for peace of mind. I am an Ashkenazi Jew, so I got tested for Tay Sachs, and it was the same price to test for all 85 panels.

Anxiously awaiting the results!

I have mine next tues 11/25. I am very anxious and hope it goes well or it will really put a damper on thanksgiving! For some reason I am obsessing over the possibility of getting a false positive :-/

I had my ultrasound today and bloodwork first thing tomorrow morning. I honestly didnt want to have the testing done because either way I will love the baby but dh really wanted me to have it.

I had mine done last week. The genetic counselor called today (6 days later) and gave us normal results and confirmed we are having a boy! Have our 12 week ob visit tomorrow...

I did mine today. I'm nervous as well! Doc said I should have the genetic results in 1 week and at that time we will also know the sex of the baby!

I did mine on 11/14.. they said it would take 1 -2weeks to get the results... im not worried about the results but I am anxious.. I just really wanna know what Im having!! I already have a boy and a girl so Im fine either way but my entire family have bets with each other!!!!!!! Hope the results get here soon!!

This does sound like it. They told me they check for a Y chromosome and if there is one then it shows you are having a boy and if they do not find the Y then obviously you are having a girl.

I have my IPS and bloodwork scheduled for Tuesday the 25th. My husband is coming with and I'm trying to be more excited about us seeing the baby on screen versus nervous about the results. I'm quite the worry bug. Get to see my midwife this Friday so am hoping to hear the heartbeat to tide me over! :-)

I'm having my blood drawn on Thursday and my Dr said she should have the results by my next appointment on Dec. 2nd. She said they will call me if they come back sooner. I am not too worried about any disorders at this point but I am anxious to find out what we are having!

I am 34 years old and 10+6 weeks. Had my bloodwork done for the Panorama test last Wed. They say 7-10 days for the results. I am as nervous as can be.

I also had the Panorama test done last Wednesday. I am so anxious to get my results back. My NT is scheduled for next Wednesday. I am so nervous!

I think family forgets sometimes that we have excitement but also worry especially if there has been a loss previously or any hereditary issues. My sister too has been excited she just had a girl and keeps saying all that she has for me but I have to remind her I'm still a nervous wreck till I get out the danger zone.

Blood work is tomorrow morning, including glucose test (hate that drink....) But I have to wait until December 8th for my ultrasound. Hopefully everything goes well, there is some concern about a heart abnormality and the waiting to know anything is torture.

For anyone who had the nuchal US done, how long did it take?

My clinic just told me I have an ultrasound scheduled at an ultrasound-lab and I should prepare to be there 2 hours. But i'm not sure which US this is and can't get answers from either end. Thanks!

I have honestly never had an ultrasound take more than 20 minutes. Every doctor is different though and may be running different tests if you have had losses in the past or any issues in the family that may raise a concern. They could also be doing other things besides an ultrasound that will take up that window of time. How far along are you?

We did ours yesterday for our 12 week exactly. Got some really great shots of Baby. They gave us some in 3D as well....they're a little creepy looking to say the least, but they did catch one shot of the peanut kicking, that was neat. Otherwise, they measured babies neck, all numbers came out normal, took blood... but we aren't getting the gender revealed through blood. We want to find out at the next visit, together.
