kismetjess Maybe I'm just mean but if my kid would have did that I would have just left them in their room screaming. Then came back once they stopped and tried to start over again. DD tries that crap sometimes on me now and I tell to come find me when she can stop and is ready to go.

Morning ladies! I had my shower on Saturday. It was beautiful! Only I didn't take one picture! My BFF and sister who threw it took pics of everything and all the guests, they even set up a little photo booth for people, but DH and I weren't in one. I didn't think about it and was so busy all day. Sad face. I'm tempted to redress up and have her snap a few next weekend. LOL!

I'm off today and have to wait at home for the chairs and tables to be picked up. I could unpack more stuff and organizer the baby gifts.......But more likely I will bump and watch Netflix:) Happy Monday!

Hey Hey Hey!!

Ive missed you all the last couple days. Ive been here but not really all that active. I had my growth ultrasound this morning, and my little tank looks like a real baby now. He is measuring 3lbs 2oz!! And the MFM has used a new due date of February 1st now instead of February 7th. So who knows when this baby is coming. After 37weeks I really dont care when he appears.

Hope all is well with everybody.

@schnitz9 -- trust me, she'll regret all this someday when she is having her first baby. It seems as though you and your mom have made it clear what her 'sisterly grown up duties' should be.

I would make it extra, extra clear to her at Thanksgiving (I would do it in front of everyone) that you are dissapointed she is choosing not to see you and baby in hospital. Bring it up and state your feelings, let it sink in, then drop it.

Like I said....I'm sorry you have to deal with this, and I'm sure it will work itself out

@Schnitz9 so you see it too??!!! OMG. DH looks just like his dad to me, and I keep telling him Dolce is his and his dads twin. But he doesnt see it. I mean the baby even forms his lips the way his dad does. I swear I had no part in this baby.

Guys I'm so heartbroken. Our dog bit a friends 2 year old yesterday, unprovoked, enough to leave marks. We need to rehome him. I am just a mess today. I love this little dog, and he's so sweet and gentle and quiet. He has never liked kids, growled at them on a few occasions. He was sitting on a chair with my husband the whole time so we could keep kids from trying to touch him, but it happened so quickly. I truly believe outside of never letting a child near our dog, which is unrealistic, we could not prevent it from happening again, so he needs to go. I just can't believe it.

So I am finding a lot of entertainment with this local garage sale FB group. Today someone posted "having a boy? Pm me" damn vague things can suck me in... So I clicked her page and her timeline photo is what I am presuming she and her family and a bunch of other people protesting circumcision stuff... Whatever your opinion is I don't care but having little kids (several 2-6 year olds) holding signs of words in bloody print publicly to push your opinion seriously pisses me off...

I'm so sorry @Ducktale. That is so heartbreaking. It's like losing a family member. Do you have any family, friends or neighbors that are child free who could take him? You would at least get the comfort of knowing he is well loved and cared for then.

@ducktale - omg that is devastating. I am so so sorry. Maybe you'll find a good "open adoption" type situation where you can still keep in touch and see that he's well looked after and happy. My heart breaks for you.

Thanks everyone. We're going to look into all options, fortunately since we don't have kids yet and it's easy enough to keep him from being around kids at all for the time being, we don't have to make any decisions too quickly. It seems tough from a legal standpoint, once you have a dog who has done this once, I think you are liable for anything that happens in the future, even if you are no longer the owner. I'm not sure though, we're trying to learn. We're going to make a vet appointment to talk about it and talk to the shelter that we got him from. It's possible one of our parents or other friends/family could take him, but they might not want to deal with having to keep him away from all kids for basically the rest of his life. We'll see. It's a sad day though, I'm completely devastated.

I'm so sad for you. We have to watch our dog around kids she doesn't know also. We got her long before we had kids, so she was very spoiled. We would be devastated if we had to give her to someone else. I'm not sure we could do it. Hang in there. ((Hugs))

Ella had fun on the Publix tour this morning, although she wanted to touch Everything!! Now I know why I usually keep her confined to a cart in the grocery store...

Afterwards we went to Michaels and I scored some amazing deals on scrapbooking paper. I am super stoked right now.

@lizzybean thanks, it's not just my hands anymore, the pelvic pressure from my extensive walking around the school is tear jerking, I think I have heel spurs in both feet (from pre-pregnancy) and now with the diabetes monitoring, it's just all beginning to be just a bit much for my position in teaching (I teach/work in 7 classrooms every day).

Hey ladies! I'm posting before reading because I don't know how long I can stay awake. I've been MIA for about a week, my parents are here and we have been busy!

TL;DR: My husband is awesome and we have the Christmas tree set up.

Highlights:

DH took me to a Stephen King book signing in Austin. My sciatica was pretty bad (I could hardly stand) but I wasn't complaining and didn't think he had even noticed. He didn't have a ticket, so he wasn't allowed on the line with me, so he asked an employee if there was anything he could do to help me during the two hour wait, thinking he'd get me a chair or something. They ended up pulling me out of line and getting me set up at the media table, then I was ushered to a back elevator and cut the whole line when he started signing. I have never ever used my pregnancy as an excuse for anything, but this was pretty fantastic.

My step father started painting N's room Sunday, so we had to pull the holiday decorations out of her closet. DH insisted that he didn't want to pull them out and move them this week, only to set them up Thursday night, so now we have a Christmas tree set up in the living room. I refuse to do the rest of the decorations until after Thanksgiving, but for now I am enjoying watching Home Alone by the light of the tree as I sip my hot cider. DS loves the tree, so I guess it was worth it. I did make DH promise to leave the curtains to the front window closed so our neighbors don't know we have our tree up.
