I went to bed early with a horrible headache and woke up with it too! :-bd G sttn though!! Unless DH got up with him while he was home. Either way, I sttn.
Morning!! Sleep was good last night and now it's Friday! YAY!! Hailey has an ENT appointment and I'm crossing all my fingers that there is nothing wrong with her tubes...we really can't afford to have something wrong.
Ben was inconsolable last night when he got home. He didn't want milk, food, a ball or the dog, so we knew something was up. We gave him some medicine, and put him to sleep at 5:15. He slept until 5:30! I thought for sure hed be up a lot through the night or wake up at 4. Poor kid must have been desperate for sleep, though.
Yeah for sleeping babies! E STTN too. I feel like a new woman.
I've posted a couple of times about not getting a promotion at work. I am happy to report that I have three interviews with three different organizations between 11/19 and 12/2! One is in the city where I work now and two are 15 minutes from home. That's a 75% reduction in my current commute! I so excited! [-O<
DH's PCP referred him to an allergist for testing, so now we're just waiting to find out when that appt will be.
P's temp is still running 99.5-99.9, but he hasn't developed any of the UTI signs that the pedi's nurse told me to watch for and his temp isn't increasing. He slept all night last night so I think he's feeling better.
Work has kicked my butt this week. Half the time I was unsure what day or time it was. Looking forward to the weekend for sure.
DH won tickets through his work to the circus for tomorrow. I am so excited Allison is going to love it. It is also in a suite so she can walk around and chat it up with all of his co workers.
@casey78 - Can you find the exact same pair to replace them? I mean, I know they won't be the same worn-in wonders but treat yo' self, girl.
Everyone in my house is sick. I have been sick for a month, ever since I got back from vacation with various colds. Adeline got a cold on Tuesday and it's just ending and H just started getting sick with MAN COLD last night, he's just a joy to be around. After a night of nonstop complaining I reminded him that I have been sick while pregnant and taking care of A every day without doing as much complaining the entire month as he did last night. FX I make it through this weekend without killing him.
F15 Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward to Most After Baby Arrives: BELLY SLEEPING!
As soon as the nanny gets here I'm headed to the doctor. I'm pretty sure I have one hell of a sinus infection brewing. What are the chances that LO has one? Is it common for babies to get sinus infections? I'm new to this sick thing.
I just put everything in the crockpot and then realized it was only 8:30. I don't need dinner to be ready by 2:30. Early wake ups throw my time off.
Road trip in rented car today to Sunday. I ask DH if I can be added as a driver to the car. DH: I don't think you should drive the car. You're inexperienced and I don't want you to get in an accident. *immediately drives into a fire hydrant and tears off some siding.* Me: :-@ :-? :-w

So I'm watching the Today Show this morning because I'm at home. Elizabeth has an eye appointment at 10:30. Does Al not like Savannah? He wouldn't hug her when they were celebrating his world record.
Interesting. I didn't watch it this morning. I've never noticed any issues between them. Did she try and he refused or did he just skip her?
Just got back from the doctor and I have a sinus infection, yay! That's cool though because she gave me an antibiotic and I should be on the mend soon.
Got an invite for a shower that includes a few of J13's favorite things: Bring a book instead of a card, and bring a pack of diapers. Maybe they'll play the melted candy bar in a diaper game, and we can have the tacky trifecta! :P
Or sperm cookies with the baby's name on it like I saw on FB.
That sucks about the car, but I admit I had to laugh at that @picklex

Morning ladies! Hopefully this is the start to a good weekend... Our weekend plans have been altered due to stupid illness. We ended up at the pedi again this morning because DD ended up with a rash. Turns out she is finishing off her bout with roseola. DH's grandparents were supposed to come up to watch DD this weekend as we have a conference to go to and now they're not coming because of the illness in our house. Looks like I'm staying home this weekend! Unfortunately there is no one I know here that I would trust to watch DD for an entire day now that's she's no longer contagious.
@haddocky thanks! Unfortunately we called them to tell them she was possibly contagious before they left richmond and by the time we found out she was not contagious, they had already left for VA beach to party. haha oh well. I'm getting over a cold or something so it's not a big deal.
Friday. Thank you to the orbit of the earth in relation to the sun for making it Friday.
I'm pretty pissed at DH. He went to a friends house last night which is fine. I told him to go. I encouraged it and wanted him to.
What I didn't want was him to come home after 1am. Then never come to bed. I didn't know where he was. I didn't know if he made it home. I didn't know if he was alive. He didn't send a text or call or anything. I was restless all night because I didn't know where he was.
He says he came in and told me he was home and he was going to sleep on the couch (Eliza crawled into bed with me and was on his side) but I don't remember any of that because I WAS ASLEEP.
It's wrong to make your spouse have a curfew but I kind of wish it weren't at this exact moment.
I'm going to watch a band called Gangsta Grass tomorrow night with some girlfriends. I think this should be pretty entertaining and they're supposed to be good. We'll see! My SO is watching Haddock tomorrow eve/night and I'm interested to see how bedtime goes without me. It should be fine since Haddock just crawls onto my lap and falls asleep when he's tired but I'm not sure if he'll do the same thing for daddy?
The nanny asked if I needed help with anything during Haddock's nap but I told her to just take a nap with him if she wanted. She's sick, too. That's my good deed for the week

She remeasured herself because she thought the amount his head had grown must be wrong.
But, he has gained almost 6 pounds and 1.5 inches in less than 2 months! <:-P She's going to cut his TPN calories by about 40% since he's caught up so well. And we're hoping that will make him hungrier and therefore make meal times less of a battle. He is just much too busy to be bothered with eating right now.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
@gutsymama that's awesome! Haddock is and always has been in the 25 percentile for height and weight but his head is always much larger. He and Luke must have big brains
And the walking was not a fluke. After going back-and-forth and back-and-forth and back-and-forth at PT, we spent about half an hour at home practicing: 4-6 steps to dive into mom, then immediately grab both my hands and walk backwards back to his starting point so he could let go and walk to me again. Repeat, and repeat, and repeat, until he fell and bumped his face on the floor and then slept for 2 1/2 hours of the hardest nap I have seen in a long time. And then another half hour or so going back and forth between me and DH before bedtime.
I got soooo many good hugs yesterday :x

Oh, and @sparkymcgeee I let him sit on the chair and play with the toy in the exam room, and only sanitized his hands once afterwards

@atlvol Solidarity. You are making me feel better about buying tuna to make salmon burgers a few weeks back.
@casey78 sorry bout the pants. Sounds like a fun date night planned.
@mermomo5 belated yay for a positive appointment
@rmnam wow. You made it through a tough week.
We are reuniting with various old friends this weekend. Excited but lots of cleaning/groceries to do before they arrive.
@econmama - Advil, gingerale, and as much sleep as possible, repeat as necessary.
@rondokye - Congratulations and good luck!
