@gutsymama, next thing you know you'll be at a McDs playplace or the MALL.
Nevaaarrrr. The HORROR!
FKA mimi4347: diaper rash magician and unofficial expert on excrement
This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
I'm taking DS to a play date in the morning at 10am. The other mom just sent me a text to make sure we were still on. She followed up with, "Do you drink? Is 10am too early for mimosas?" I told her that it was 5 o'clock somewhere. Hehe. (she lives in the neighborhood, so we are walking over)

You have @lizabethann06 and all the other chi bumpies, you're good!
A mom can never have too many drinking mom friends.
Totally random, but if anyone is in the market for a Sleep Number bed or bedding, I have an exclusive company coupon to use. PM me for info. I can't post it here due to the company code needed.
@atvol enjoy your date night! We had friends from out of town, and all the adults went to a wedding and the kiddos were left with our babysitter and her friend. One of my friends was worried because her little guy had never been left with a sitter before but out of all the babies, he did the best! I'm sure he'll be fine, and I hope you guys have a great night out!
Also, I had a random Wed off over the summer so was able to have a playgroup with some of my SAH parent friends and they all brought mimosas. I know being a SAHM/D is hard work, but they made it look pretty awesome
I am starting to get annoyed with LO's daycare. It's in a school that goes up to grade 8.
In the last week we've been sent home three(!!!!) flyers and catalogues with fundraisers for some junior high trip to New York City. I know fundraising is a fact of life but three in one week!
Isn't sending your kid to school fun? I get the same 4 for each fundraiser. Each of the 4 sells one thing each. I can't keep asking people. I end up buying it , I'd rather cut the school a check. Here's $100 leave me alone ..however delaney will be selling Girl Scout cookies. Anyone want some

I heard Diem Brown died from her cancer battle - she is from MTV's Challenges. I used to watch those back in the day.
She had a people.com blog that was really inspirational (at least to me).
That made me really sad when I saw it on Fb. I didn't realize she was only a yr.ish older than me. I went back to see when she was first diagnosed and realized she had been dealing w/cancer on and off for almost 10yrs. Awful. It made me hug d.d. glad that I have a family and am healthy.

I do. Do you deliver to central MA? l.o.l. We never got the ones d.h. paid one of his students for.
So I was a total grump about snow yesterday. But today, it makes my heart happy! Why the change, you ask? Because there's Christmas music on the radio!!!
@missymr We got that catalog too. P had fun ripping it to pieces lol. That's the first one we've ever gotten and I don't know why they sent it.
Major case of mommy guilt. DH is working on an online exam for his master's class abd I'm super sick so I put P in the PNP. I put toys in there and he's honestly playing quietly and having a ball. So why do I feel guilty?
Who else married a workaholic? Mine is. He doesn't neglect us--he's really involved as a dad. But he is also up past midnight working most nights and thus exhausted.
I am just worried about him and wish he wasn't so exhausted and therefore subdued and stoic all the time. And that he didn't want me to watch both kids solo for at least half of each weekend day so he can work. I feel like taking an hour or two alone totally puts him out even though I do it for him. Unfortunately his employer doesn't return the love.
TL DR: Wishing I could have my husband in a well-rested state more often.
