Ok, this is an on-going debate Dh and I have. I INSIST the kitchen floor must be scrubbed AT LEAST weekly. We have four children and three dogs, who all track god knows what through our house.
He thinks I'm a freak about it (which, duh, germaphobe, but still), because the other women he's known in his life (his mom, friends, ex) only scrubbed when there was stuff CRUSTED ON THE FLOOR (which would drive me BATSH!T crazy!)
SO - what do you do in your house?
Re: Do you clean kitchen floors weekly?
Weekly cleaning of the entire apartment, including the kitchen. Everything gets vacuumed, mopped and scrubbed - except for MH's bathroom. He does that when he feels like it. lol! In between cleanings I use the wet Swiffer to keep things tidy.
Nope, I sweep a few times a week, but only use my swiffer mop maybe every 2 weeks or so.
Maybe I am a slob? LOL...
I sweep pretty much every day and detail floors on my hands a knees every week usually. But I hadn't done it in 2 weeks and wasn't planning on it again till baby came but dh had other plans! Stupid scuffs.
This is pretty much what happens at our house. I guess we also add counter wiping and organizing in between, but not serious tub cleaning/floor srubbing.
The swiffer sweeper mini vac is priceless with a dog that sheds! I have two big dogs that shed like mad. I sweep and swiffer vac to get all of the hair. Then I kick them out while I mop.
Doesn't everything get dusty? I hate when I can see dust on stuff. Makes me bonkers.
(FYI, I admit to my germaphobia freely, but knowing that dust is made up mostly of dead skin, just skeeves me the hell out.)
