@willvilljill , yes! I see him. But last night he was a redhead and his name bracelet had some sort of error indication on it that the nurses refused to explain to me, so I had doubts that he was actually my baby! Kinda weird and scary but not as scary as a stuck-atop-a-train dream!

Fuck the flu shot! First time taking it yesterday and I woke up in the middle of the night hot and the chills at the same time. I ached all over and was burning up. I haven't been sick in a very long time, so was upset I took the shot. I don't know if I will ever take it again. I am calling my OB this morning, because I am worried about the fever I had last night. I am still achy this morning, but feel a little better.

This is why I've been putting it off!! Hope all dissipates today & you're back 100% soon!

Morning ladies! I slept like the dead last night but woke up with a sore throat..... Right after telling coworker yesterday I never get sick. Fuck. I hope it's just cause it's dry and cold here.

@michelle142, I hate when DS has no nap days because they always end that way except he doesn't know that he can tell me that I'm a bad mom or that he doesn't love me. I dread the first time he utters anything remotely similar to that. Fx that nap time goes well for him today.

@cls78 I'm sorry. That just sucks.

AW/excitement: Yesterday after DS ran into the bathroom to let me know he had to poop I decided that we'd try potty training. All day yesterday he wouldn't pee except during meals or nap time while he was wearing a diaper. He couldn't hold it to lunch this morning though because I pumped him full of water and juice. So after a few stints of "let's sit on the potty for a bit, it's been 20 mins since the last trip" he ran into the bathroom by himself. I went in and he was sitting on his potty so I gave him a puzzle app on my phone and we sat there for 15 mins or more but he actually peed in the potty! He felt like he needed to go so he went to his potty by himself! Then he waited patiently until he went! I feel that the exclamation points are warranted here, this is our first ever potty training success after a lot of attempts. I hope this means he'll be out of diapers by the time Rosalyn gets here.

Every time I get the flu shot, I feel crumby for a solid 24 hours afterwards. It subsides, and it's still better than getting the actual flu so I still get the shot.

My son just slept until 8:00, it is a Friday miracle! The only reason he even woke up, was because the heater kicked on.

Good luck to all of outer GD testers today. I had planned to test on Tuesday, but had my son with me and knew he wouldn't sit for the hour. I told my OB that I would come back the next day and test when my H can watch DS, but she said we would just do it at my 29w appointment. I had it last pregnancy, so I'm certain that I will this time too. Part of me just wants to get it over with, and part of me is doing a huge happy dance because now I can have a guilt free Thanksgiving!

Random question about the GD test:

Did I make a ginormous mistake scheduling my 1-hour 2 days before Thanksgiving? If I fail, am I doomed to be miserable on Thanksgiving or will it all be a-ok?

I passed the 1-hour with DS, but I'm scared I'm going to fail this time.

ETA: I'm not sure how quickly they have you do the 3-hour if you fail the first time.

I have no idea what's happening at this point. I'm just rolling with it. He's doing it himself for the most part and I'm praying that it keeps up. I'm sure you guys will get it down soon.

I'm so exhausted. I haven't slept well in weeks and it's really starting to get me. The receptionist in my building who is always giving me unsolicited advice told me I should nap after work. Lady, I get home at 6. If I nap then, we won't eat dinner until 8 or 9 and I won't fall asleep. Thanks, but no thanks.

On another note I was so hyped to try the caramel brulee lattee from Starbucks yesterday that I was dissapointed after drinking it. Maybe I'm weird but I wasn't digging it!!

Feeling crummy/gross after a flu shot doesn't equal "Ermigerd I have the flu!" (Not saying OP is being like this, but I hear it a lot). Your body was tricked into producing antibodies which is good. Feeling crummy for a day is far better than getting actual flu while pg and risking major complications to yourself/baby.

Now I'll wait for the antivaxers/antifluers who will mock you for putting such government mind-control conspiracy toxins into your body!

So, I finally got my official lab results from the 1 hour test...we all know the cut off for good glucose is either 130 or 140 (depending on your doc). Well, I flunked with a 201...and I fasted...okay, enough of the GD talk. It'll just be for like 2 more months...I can handle it.

ETA: Just found a research chart that shows 85% of women who had levels 201-225 on the 1 hour were diagnosed with GD after the 3 hour test. I'm ready...

When I failed the 1 hour, they called on a friday, and just had me come in and do it sometime the next week. Not sure about other offices, but i doubt they wouldn't make you turn around a do it the next day. (they will work with schedules).

I would bet that they would not be able to get you in until after Thanksgiving for the 3 hour.

Now I'm debating when doing mine. I want to eat all of the everything at Thanksgiving!

I know the MW office is closed Thanksgiving and the day after, so with my test being on Tuesday I should be safe. I hope. I just know if I fail I'll guilt myself into not enjoying Thanksgiving lol

he came up to me today amd randomly mentioned to me how alot of his friends have adopted babies and how it all worked out for them and how he and his wife hope to adopt a child someday to even though they habe two girls. then he ended the convo and walked off.

im weirded out by that. he started that out of nowhere. is he like hinting to me?

Just got back from the park. I made myself get out of the house and took Ella to a new park that was fabulous! A great boardwalk along a lake and we saw turtles and baby alligators!! It is the perfect FL day and I am now feeling much better about my MW appt being postponed.

27 hours last time, over here... I would not want that again in a thousand years. Water broke and I had to go to the hospital for the whole time instead of chilling at home.

Oh don't be anxious! It really was not that bad I swear! I was induced with Cervadil so I was at the hospital for that whole time, but honestly I just sat on a birthing ball for the first 10 hours watching TV with DH. Every labour experience is SO different, I didn't mean to freak you out!

yeah he was creepy. when i was pregnant with hailey my mom had a friend who would call wanting to know if i wanted to get rid of the baby yet.

i think hes like this because im havimg a boy.

in his.conversation he mentiomed how his friends basically adopted a sex of child they didn't have after habing two or three of the same sex.
