@ttcminicofer Butter is always the most important thing. I actually buy 4 or so boxes at a time and freeze it, which helps if I suddenly decide I'd like to bake.

@fuzzylogic did I know you were a band director?? Music geeks FTW!
1. I have to team-teach this year with a drama teacher. He's a great teacher but a douchey person. I have to literally watch EVERYTHING I say because he's a huge troublemaker. He's already in a war with the custodians about whose job it is to close the windows. News flash ahole: if you open them, it's yours. (I close them now, but he already pissed them off before I got back from ML).
2. All I want for dinner is Stove-Top and I don't have any.
My dog's gas is soooo bad today. She likes to come and sleep under my feet when I'm on the computer and it's just been constant awful farts. Like cabbage and bad BO is the best way I can describe it. I'm figuring it's that she's finally switched over to her new food (that will hopefully prevent future kidney stones, so that's good), but it is bad.

I know we don't know each other well....but feel free to PM me to get shit off your chest. I struggle with anxiety/PTSD so I can relate to a certain extent.
My poor DS is home sick with the flu... Exactly one week before his appointment to get the shot! At least I think it's the flu, if not a fucking awful cold.
I dripped oil on my shirt while eating a sub. Does anyone know how to get oil out of clothing? Or am I screwed?
Not sure if someone already answered this, but dish soap usually works well to get oil out of fabric.
@MrsRC88 I have a bulldog and know about the jaw debacle. Put the pills in a small slice of cheese (American cheese sticks quite well) and stick it in her mouth and massage it down her throat. Typically works and acts as a treat too!
@SpartanChick88 great idea with cream cheese... Il maybe have to try that.
@elizabetheleven believe it or not, dish soap works on oil/grease stains.
I am sorry for all the crap you guys are dealing with.
My bitch is my bloating.. My pants hardly fit. That or I'm getting fat
I got hired by my employer for a specific job and they've been having me do everything BUT that job lately, because the ancient lady who's been doing it on a so-called temporary basis won't leave like she said she would. So this basically deprives me of at least 5 hours of work each week.
Also, my church just celebrated Reformation Day on Friday and some of my Catholic friends have been posting the most obnoxious, elitist things about Protestants and I am PISSED.
((hugs)) @DovahFel - I am so sorry for all you are dealing with right now.
No longer posting on The Bump due to the appalling misconduct of the staff and of its parent company, the XO Group. Four thousand active, engaged members do not represent "a few bad apples" and we are not trolls.
I cried at work today. We had a follow up with the urologist this morning. Dh has large testicular masses (caused by a pre-existing condition) and is getting blood work to rule out cancer. I was a mess all day. Results tomorrow.
Plus, WHY do we still do daylight saving? I hate that it is dark at 5p.m.
DH had a 3-day this weekend so I planned ahead and took Monday off to spend with him since I worked Saturday and Sunday. Even sent emails to the boss and his assistant letting them know that I would not be in and that my assistant would be available if they needed anything.
Did I get my day off? Nope, spent the whole day on the phone. Sorry DH maybe I will see you during daylight hours next week.
My 14 week old puppy has diarrhea. I took her to the vet Friday, and after $500 worth of tests and x-rays, she supposedly has a bacterial infection (or something like that). 3 pills later, and poor thing is now constipated. While I'm thankful it's nothing serious, the 14 week old puppy has now cost more than any other animal in our house this year! Ugh - why did we get a puppy?! Not only is it disgusting to clean up after, trying to give her 3 pills is impossible - she is a pit bull that is very good at keeping her jaw shut when she wants to! FX she gets over this quick!
Peanut butter. I have a very stubborn Jack Russell who got very good at spitting out, hiding or just plain not taking any sort of pill. But dear god does she love peanut butter. And since it sticks to the roof of her mouth, she really can't spit out the pill and ends up having to swallow it with the peanut butter.
The vet gives me a look whenever I mention it, but I've tried every other suggestion she's given me and every other dog product on the market for pill-hiding, and nothing else works.
Hope your puppy feels better!
Or cream cheese. It's such a fun treat that they rarely stop to investigate what's inside
Thanks ladies! I never would have thought of peanut butter or cream cheese! I will definitely try peanut butter tonight. I tried hiding it in cheese and treats - but that didn't work at all - she's a smart pup! ----------------------------------- You can also try marshmallows. Super cheap and my dog loves them. My vet recommended them and said there's nothing in them that could harm the dog.
DD and I saw DH for approximately 36 hours over the weekend, a majority of which I slept through. I almost wish he didn't come home because it made SO MUCH harder to say goodbye yesterday. I am really missing him today, again.

So I am on day 49 over here and not pleased.... H is all super excited even though I never got a positive OPK this month (and I have given up and just want my period so we can move on and bring on more sex) that it means I am pregnant since I am having such a long cycle. I have peed on like 2 cheapos that come with my OPKs and nothing. So he went grocery shopping and brought home better tests because he is so excited. This next morning he left before me (normal) and I wake up and on the toilet seat is a test and my pee cup ready and waiting. My BF is the only one who knows we are trying so I texted her "Can you believe that H still thinks I might be pregnant? I know I am later than normal but I worry he is getting his hopes up." and I hit send.... then I noticed that I had replied to a text group that was with H and my mom. I started freaking out and swearing a lot...... I told him I am angry and done peeing on things! Also I had to lie to my mother and I am a terrible liar!
