Mine: So H and I did our anniversary dinner Saturday night (actual day is today, Saturday was our dating anniversary). Went to a very nice restaurant, had amazing food and drinks. I ended up drinking most of our bottle of champagne because H was driving (so he had half a glass at the start of dinner). I was pretty buzzed and went to the bathroom. While coming out of the stall I tripped over my own feet and caught my upper arms on the little coat peg that's on the door. I now have a bruise that's almost 2 inches across on my upper arm. It looks like a purple bull's eye.

Sometimes, my DH irritates me so much.  

Take this weekend.  Friday night, he drank just enough to be hungover before we went to bed so I was rejected.  Ok, fine, no big deal.  Saturday, he helped around the house for a bit but then got on his computer and basically stayed there until yesterday afternoon.  Sunday morning, he got up, made coffee, got into his game at 8 am - church at 10.  Come 9:25 I asked him if he was going, and he said it was going to be a lot longer.  I get home around 12:30 and he had just stopped.  Then he had the balls to complain about not getting a shower.  You had the house to yourself, you did NOTHING but sit your butt on the computer.  I have zero sympathy.  So, what did I do in retaliation?  I took my car to get new tires (severely needed) and when they said it was a 2.5 hr wait, I said, great - do it.

I felt much better after sitting at Starbucks for 2 hours, alone, with nothing to do.

My bitch is time change.  Kids and pets don't give a shit about time change and the ability to sleep in an extra hour.  And of course DS was up an hour earlier than normal today.  I'm tired!

This is so true! To me the time change meant getting up when the clock said 6:30 instead of 7:30.

@divinemsbee‌ I once walked into a table in the dark and ended up with a bruise on my thigh that looked exactly like a penis. A really dark spot where I hit the corner (the head) and then a three inch shaft where it scraped. I couldn't wear shorts for a couple of weeks without offending strangers. My bitch: I already ate all of my healthy snacks in my desk and have resorted to Halloween candy.

I had a crown come loose last week and now it looks like I am going to need a bone graft and implant because the original crack in the tooth is so deep.  They glued the old crown back on but I was (gently) flossing last night and it is coming out again.  So, I'm just not eating on that side and at least the suction seems to be keeping it in until I see the oral surgeon tomorrow.  Fuck, this blows.

@sister13 I feel you! I had a filling fall out like a month ago. I have been waiting ever patiently for my dentist appointment this weekend (which I travel an hr and a half to). I can't seem to remember if it is an appointment for a cleaning...or a filling.

Medical bills, ugh!  I had to have some cardiac stuff done, and thankfully all is well with my ticker, but now I owe $3000 in medical bills as my out of pocket max is $3000.  And, I just found out my insurance plans are changing at work, and my new out of pocket max will be $6000!  To make matters worse, if/when we add a child to my plan, the out of pocket max is $12000!  I thought health coverage was supposed to be getting MORE affordable, not less.   (

I hate Mondays. I have a headache. I spilled coffee on my khaki pants. The children are being extra rambunctious. And we are stuck in the classroom all day because the wind chill is too cold to go outside.

I'll jump in on the time change rant.  This is the first year I remember that I've actually slept less since it fell back, and DS has also got up at least an hour earlier the past 2 days.

As I mentioned in my intro yesterday, my son has been driving our cat crazy.  He keeps pulling her tail and smacking her. I've said no, I've removed him from the situation, etc., but he follows her around. I'm running out of ideas here aside from making her go downstairs (other side of the baby gate.)

Plus it's Monday.  Mondays suck no matter what.

I hate daylight savings. I typically have to be at work at 5:15, but right now, on Mondays, I don't have to be in until 7:15. Well, thanks to the time change I woke up between 4 and 5 and couldn't get back to sleep....

So the one morning I had to sleep in this week and I wasn't able to.

DS dropped my iPhone when he was getting in the car the other day. Now the screen is unresponsive. Now i have to wait for a new screen to  come in the mail.

For starters..Mondays are not my friend! 

But my real bitch today is that yesterday we had a rain/snow/wind storm and this morning our temporary storage garage that we use for my OH's car during the winter flipped over because of the wind and its completely wrecked.  Luckily my OH was still driving his car so we hadn't stored it yet for winter therefore no damage to his baby I mean car haha.  But It's going to cost us quite a bit to replace it GAH!

That makes sense, I had seen DP used a few times but that reminds me of a few other things such as Doctor pepper and I always felt weird typing that... SO is a little obvious, I probably should have thought of that on my own.  Sorry if I confused you ladies!  I'll switch it up and just use SO or DH from now on.

I know this is FWP but H and I wanted to go to a nice brunch at our favorite place yesterday.  We got there and there is a festival nearby so we couldn't get a table so we went to another place we like and they have closed.  By the time we got to a third place to eat we were so hungry we just scarfed down our food at the bar so we wouldn't have to wait for a table.

I'm still waiting to have my procedure done. The doc isn't in the building yet and its been 14hrs since I could last eat or drink. Commmeeee onnnn I'm thirsty!

Also, I'm a hard stick nurse anethesist, listen to the patient on where to go. 4 hard pokes later ge finally listened. I was thinking of all of the ways i could hurt him.

So until they call me back I'm playing with you all since dh is home with the kids.

I dripped oil on my shirt while eating a sub. Does anyone know how to get oil out of clothing? Or am I screwed?

My doctor diagnosed me with CTS about 4 years ago. It flares up from time to time. Lately it's been bad because I'm doing a lot on the computer.

I hate Mondays ... my day is go to work from 8-11, take DD to the library, do the shopping, come home, feed DD, clean, wrestle DD into some sort of quiet time, pack up her dinner, back at work from 4-7. My feet hurt, my back hurts, I haven't slept well in a while.

last night DH's text alert went off at 11:30 and woke me up. I saw that he hadn't opened DD's door so I went into the hallway to get it and saw something on the floor. Picked it up - dog shit. DH suffered my wrath and apologized profusely many, many times for his friends who can't tell time. Then came down this morning to find that the dog had eaten some butterfingers and baby Ruths and left crumbs all over the floor.

And I missed early voting.

Peanut butter. I have a very stubborn Jack Russell who got very good at spitting out, hiding or just plain not taking any sort of pill. But dear god does she love peanut butter. And since it sticks to the roof of her mouth, she really can't spit out the pill and ends up having to swallow it with the peanut butter.

The vet gives me a look whenever I mention it, but I've tried every other suggestion she's given me and every other dog product on the market for pill-hiding, and nothing else works.

Hope your puppy feels better!

Or cream cheese.  It's such a fun treat that they rarely stop to investigate what's inside

Hope your puppy gets better! I agree with PP that peanut butter works well! Marshmallow fluff works well too and isn't bad for them.

The only way I can get my dog, Newman, to take his heartworm pill is to "drop it" on the kitchen floor and then lunge for it like its not something he's supposed to have. It's very dramatic. I yell "Oh no!!" and he dashes for it and gobbles it down. Reverse psychology FTW

1. My new boss is still driving me crazy and he just disappears for hours without putting himself on the outboard.  Then everyone bugs me as to his whereabouts.  Hell if I know!
   
2. We are having a big get together with all of DH's college friends this weekend.  Everyone is supposed to pitch in on cooking, etc.  We have been planning for months but I am still the only person that committed to bringing food.  Last time we did this, I cooked for the whole group of 12 for 3 days straight.  I was exhausted and sick by the end of the weekend.  I refuse to do it all by myself this time.
3. I feel a sinus infection coming on; suck!
4. I went off of BCP a couple of months ago and have been steadily gaining weight ever since.  10lbs in 2 months is crap!  I haven't changed anything else in my lifestyle either.

My pit bull is the same about taking pills.  The vet told me that I could smash them into powder and mix them with some wet food; that fixed that problem.  When we got her as a puppy she had pneumonia and cost us a pretty penny to save her life just a few days after we brought her home.  She still needs pills and shots for her horrible allergies.  When it comes to diarrhea or an upset stomach, my vet and others have told me to give her some pureed pumpkin (canned will work too, just be sure it is pure pumpkin and not pumpkin pie filling).  It seems to work for her and she loves to eat it.
